Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death

Chapter 229

Xavier couldn't be bothered with anything else now.

Yvette's eyes went wide. "You bastard!" she hissed, eliciting a chuckle from Xavier.C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

"If I'm a bastard, why did you use to love me half to death?"

Yvette was overwhelmed by the smell of alcohol on him. She realized he was drunk and speaking out of control. "I don't want to talk to a drunk. Let go of me."

"No." Xavier's embrace became more possessive. He leaned closer, his breath hot against her ear. "If I let you go, you will run away with Claude, won't you?" Yvette struggled to free herself from his hold, but Xavier refused to let go.

His voice grew more desperate with each word.

"Why did you betray me? Didn't you promise to love me forever? Why didn't you keep your word? Do you know how I felt when I first saw that kid? I fucking thought he was my son!" The drunken man expressed all his grievances.

"And yet, he told me that Claude is his father! Hadn't it been just a short time since we lost our child? And you were already carrying his child? How could you have been so cruel?" Facing his interrogation, Yvette pressed her lips tightly together, offering no response.

Xavier persisted. "So tell me, who's the bastard here?"

He pinched Yvette's chin, forcing her to look at him.

The moment Yvette smelled the alcohol on him, a wave of nausea hit her.

"Xavier, you better let go of me right now." She struggled to keep from vomiting.

"What if I don't let go?" Xavier was too drunk to be aware of Yvette's discomfort.

The next moment, there was a sudden retching sound, and Xavier's face instantly turned thunderous.

At the same time, Yvette got away from him immediately and hurried to the bathroom.

This feeling was very familiar; she must be pregnant.

Bang!

Xavier had already walked in through the bathroom door, which Yvette had forgotten to close.

Frowning, he was somewhat sober as he took off his soiled clothes and threw them aside, then stood in front of Yvette.

"Do I disgust you that much?" he asked.

Yvette didn't want to talk to him and tried to leave.

However, Xavier caught her again and lifted her with one hand around her waist.

Yvette felt her head spin as she hung in the air. "Xavier, put me down!" she exclaimed in surprise.

She tried to grab Xavier's clothes, but in that position, she couldn't reach him at all.

With one arm holding her, Xavier carried her upstairs, into the bedroom, and threw her onto the bed. He then laid on top of her.

Yvette had never noticed how heavy

he was. It was hard for her to

breathe. Not wanting for anything to happen between them now, she bit down on his shoulder.

The pain made Xavier stop.

He stared at Yvette with a deep gaze and gripped her chin lightly. With just a slight force, Yvette winced in pain.

Reeking of alcohol, Xavier hugged her tightly, his hand touching the scar on her back. "You've always loved me, haven't you?"

Yvette might have said yes before,

but she wasn't sure now. After all Xavier was nothing like the gentle man from her childhood memories. He was too cold, too indifferent.

Xavier couldn't sleep and was

overwhelmed by a painful headache when he didn't get Yvette's answer.

It could be because he d

too

much or something else.

He was so drunk that he missed Mark's call and remained unaware that more than seven billion dollars had been transferred from his personal account. Zachary hadn't expected things to be easier tonight than the last time. He wasn't shocked when he looked at the long string of numbers on his computer. Instead, in batches, he gradually invested small amounts under various names into Yvette's company overseas.
