Trapped pregnant with a Billionaire child

I’m not greedy

Letta looked back at Marco, who was now sitting next to her, his gaze focused on the road ahead where the congested cars filled the streets. Somehow, Letta felt the timing was a little off because the traffic jam was consuming their remaining time on the road. If the traffic had been smooth, they would have reached the shopping center in about 15 minutes. It had been more than 30 minutes, yet their car hadn’t moved an inch. Letta could see how Marco’s jaw was clenched. It seemed that it wasn’t just the traffic jam making Marco look angry, but also someone who had sent flowers to her that they still didn’t know about. Letta had only read the card, which said the flowers were as beautiful and charming as her. It seemed that was why his emotions finally surfaced. Letta then stroked the back of Marco’s hand, which was now gripping the steering wheel, making Marco look deeply at Letta.

“Are you still angry?” Letta asked, making Marco finally sigh deeply.

“I’m not angry,” Marco replied, making Letta look at him with a serious gaze. Letta reached out both her hands and gently turned Marco’s face to look at her.

“I know when you’re angry and your mood turns sour,” Letta said again, making Marco hold his wife’s palm, then kiss it gently.

“I’m not angry, I’m just a little annoyed,” Marco said, making Letta loosen her grip on his hand.

“It’s all the same, it means you’re angry,” Letta said, making Marco just look back at the road next to him, which was starting to move slowly.

“Do you know who sent the flowers?” Letta asked again, making Marco shake his head.

“If only I knew, I would have instructed my men to get rid of it. Doesn’t he know who he’s sending flowers to? Doesn’t he know a married woman, let alone the wife of a Jovanka?” Marco said, making Letta purse her lips.

“Who knows, maybe it’s a woman, how about that?” Letta asked, making Marco shake his head.

“Is there really a woman who would send such a romantic bouquet to her female friend? Besides, do you remember who might have sent those flowers? As far as I can recall, you don’t have any friends who would kindly send you flowers,” Marco said, somehow forgetting the words he had just uttered, making Letta fall silent. And that’s when Marco realized that Letta seemed a little offended by his words.

“Is my life really so lonely? Before meeting you, my life must have been very miserable,” Letta said, making Marco shake his head.

“That’s not what I meant. I’ve never heard you mention any close friends,” Marco said, making Letta finally choose to force a smile and look back at Marco.

“Well, you’ve already burned the flowers anyway. So, there’s no point in arguing about it now,” Letta said, making Marco stay silent. The annoyance still lingered in his heart. Marco would surely find that person who intentionally bothered him and disturbed his wife.

Eventually, Marco resumed his journey to the shopping center, taking twice as long as before. He wondered what was causing the traffic to be so congested now. Finally, he parked his car and headed towards the shopping center. Marco immediately took Letta’s hand and they got into the elevator to the floor where they would buy clothes for Letta.

“I want to ask something,” Letta asked while continuing to walk hand in hand with Marco.

“Yes, go ahead. What do you want to ask?” Marco asked, scanning his surroundings. The shopping center seemed busier too. Perhaps it was the weekend, Marco thought, seemingly forgetting what day it was. Not just on the way, but the shopping center seemed to be a destination for people to entertain themselves. They didn’t see people entering the stores; they seemed to be more strolling around. It seemed people came just to waste their time, Marco thought, finally looking back at Letta.

“Have I never really introduced any of my friends to you all this time?” Letta asked, making Marco fall silent for a moment before shaking his head.

“Then, at our wedding, did I also not invite anyone?” Letta asked again, making Marco stop and look at his wife.

“Our wedding was only held in our backyard, and we only invited my extended family. I even asked you if you wanted to invite someone, but you said you didn’t have anyone significant to invite. Until now, I don’t even know who you’re friends with,” Marco said, making Letta fall silent.

“Yes, it seems marrying you was the right choice. Thank you for bringing me into your life,” Letta said, making Marco reach out and embrace her shoulders.

“I should be the one thanking you for being in my life. Let’s just forget about that. I don’t want to see a sad expression on your face because now is the time for you to spend my money,” Marco said, making Letta smile again.

“Really? Can I spend your money?” Letta asked, making Marco nod his head.

“Yes, of course you can. Whatever you want, even if you want the whole store, I’ll buy it for you,” Marco said, making Letta just smile and shake her head.NôvelDrama.Org content rights.

“No, I’m not greedy. I’ll just choose the clothes I need,” Letta said, making Marco finally nod. They then entered one of the renowned women’s fashion brand stores. Marco also helped pick out the right clothes for his wife. Some casual wear, some for outings, some for sleeping. Not only that, Marco even instructed the staff to bring bags, shoes, accessories, hats, watches, belts, everything. Marco insisted that Letta needed all of it, although Letta argued that she only needed a few clothes for staying at home because she had been mostly staying at home. She didn’t need extravagant-looking clothes.

“No, besides, you will need them, right? So go ahead and buy them,” Marco said, finally leaving Letta with no choice but to obey all of her husband’s words.

“Sit here,” Marco said, leading Letta to the sofa in the middle of the room. There were various shoes lined up there: sneakers, flats, and even high heels, which made Letta look at Marco.

“Try them one by one. I want to see which ones suit you,” Marco said, finally making the servant assist Letta in trying on each of the shoes in front of her.

“This one is too small,” Marco said, making the servant bring another pair of shoes.

“This one is too high,” Marco said again, making the servant immediately take the next pair of shoes.

“This one is comfortable and looks simple. I like it, I’ll take this one,” Letta said, about to get up from her seat, but Marco shook his head.

“Not just one, take a few more of each model that might fit you,” Marco said again, making the servant add more shoes in front of her, leaving Letta truly stunned at her shopping items that could possibly fill two cars.
