Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 331

Chapter 331

Hansen was completely riveted by Mia being bullied at school. He said, "Humph! If she wasn't

pregnant, I bet she would have set those guys straight. They have no idea how tough my daughter-in-

law is. Would she even consider carrying a Cedillo family baby if we were the bullies?"

The more Hansen thought about it, the angrier he became, "Butler, call Naomi and Andre down."

Soon, Naomi was in the living room and Andre followed. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Hansen announced, "From now on, we three will take turns going to Mia's school!"

Hearing this, Mia immediately objected, "No way, my husband absolutely cannot go."

As soon as Mia finished speaking, Molly and Leo immediately agreed with her. For the first time, the

three of them were completely united.

Molly said, "Dad, my brother needs to work. He can't go."

Leo also added, "If he goes, it will disrupt our studies. He can't go."

Hansen didn't understand, asking, "Why? Didn't he go today?"

Mia remembered how her husband's presence had made her feel restricted. She couldn't go to the

snack bar, couldn't play with her phone, and even nodding off resulted in a pinch to the face.

She leaned into Hansen's ear and whispered something to him.

Andre could guess what his wife had said to his father. It probably had to do with him not letting her

have ice cream today. Sure enough, as soon as Hansen heard that his son wouldn't let his pregnant

daughter-in-law buy snacks, he slapped the table angrily, "Andre is out. Only Naomi and I will go."

When Naomi understood the whole story, she calmly said with a smile, "Dad, we should probably stay

out of it. We can make an appearance once in a while, but it would disrupt their studies if we went

every day."

Mia agreed with Naomi, "Yeah, Dad, you could occasionally pick us up from school. But if you go every

day, it might be too much for you at your age. And my husband already has back pain from going

today. If you pick us up, we won't miss out on any of the good food or fun."

Hansen had no counterargument. It seemed like a reasonable point.

"So, we'll follow Mia's plan. We'll pick them up when we have time. Naomi can join if she's free, so no

one can say we're not a loving family." Hansen said.

Before, Jillian tried to ruin their relationship and angered Hansen. On the surface, it seemed like he

hadn't punished Jillian, but only she knew what she had experienced.

Hansen wasn't an old man to be trifled with. He wouldn't let anyone mess with him.

"By the way, Mia, you can't have ice cream while pregnant, right?" Hansen asked.

Mia shook her head. "The doctor didn't say I couldn't."

Hansen glanced at his silent son and then at his seemingly obedient daughter-in-law, "Your husband

said you can't, right?"

Mia nodded.

"Then you better not. Don't upset him." Hansen said.

Andre was the one holding the family's purse strings. It wouldn't do to upset him.

Mia nodded again, "I understand."

Andre just sat there, listening to his wife and father complaining about his tyranny.

Later, Mr. Cedillo came home. He went to his bedroom and heard his wife recounting his brother's

antics during the day. He laughed and said to his wife, "He's always been a man of few words, but he

loves Mia the most. We've been urging him to get married for years, but he just wouldn't. And then Mia

showed up, and he's always following her around. All she has to do is call him 'honey', and he'd do

anything for her."

Naomi also laughed, "Mia loves Andre deeply too. Even though she usually acts like a little tiger, she

becomes a docile kitten in front of Andre."

"Isn't that how it is between couples?" Mr. Cedillo asked.

On the bed not too far away, Mia snuggled up to her husband. She glanced at the book her husband

was about to finish, and her legs were draped over his, "Honey, how do you feel with me by your side?"

"Pity." Andre said.

Mia looked up at her husband's face, frowning, "Is that all you feel? I have several feelings, let me tell

you." Mia counted on her fingers, "Moved, wronged, uncomfortable, and more in love with you. I have

these feelings."

Andre wrapped his arm around Mia's head, while his fingers were rubbing her little face as if he were

teasing a kitten. But his gaze was on the book, multitasking.

Mia looked up at her unresponsive husband, then lay down on her side. She fell asleep not long after.

Twenty minutes later, Andre looked down and found that Mia, who had just been talking to him, was

already asleep. He closed the book, picked her up to lay her flat, covered her with the blanket, then got

up to work in his study.

The next day, the atmosphere at school was completely different. During class, nobody in the back of

the classroom gossiped about Mia's pregnancy anymore. They were all focused on Andre's

appearance the day before.

Without Andre, the three of them were much freer after class.

Molly took a bite of her ice cream and looked at her friend who seemed to be craving it, "Mia, do you

want a taste?"

Mia said, "I'll just have a bite."

The two of them snuck closer, and Molly handed her ice cream to Mia, "Awe, look at you, all pregnant

and pitiful. It's like my brother is tormenting you."

Mia took a small bite, and the cool sensation on her tongue and teeth sent a shiver through her body.

She handed the ice cream back to Molly, grimacing, "Having a bite just makes me want it more."

Molly took a big bite of the remaining ice cream, mumbling with her mouth full, "It's fine, if you don't

watch me eat, you won't crave it."

After finishing, Molly quickly led her back to the classroom. Leo saw them return and said, "Molly, your

phone rang while you were gone."

Molly went over to pick up her phone and saw it was a number she didn't recognize. She said, "It's

probably someone trying to sell a house."

However, not long after, the same number called again. Molly answered, putting it to her ear, "I'm not

buying a house or insurance."

Jack paused for a moment, then he laughed, "Molly, it's Jack."

Molly realized, "Oh, sorry, I thought you were a telemarketer."

Jack was amused by Molly's earlier words and asked, "What are you doing?"

"I'm in class at school." Molly said.

"Did I disturb you?" Jack asked.

Molly answered politely, "Nope, what do you want?"

"I was wondering if you're free. I'd like to invite you to a play." Jack said.

Thinking about the stage and her indifference to the arts, Molly remembered how she always fell

asleep during performances. She blinked, "I can't. I have a class. I gotta go."

With that, Molly hung up.

Putting down her phone, she complained to Mia and Leo, "Somebody asked me out to a play. I bet he

just wants to hear me snore."

Mia caught the main point, "Who's he?"

Leo chimed in, "Does Molly have a suitor?"

Finally, it was Mia's turn to speak. She and Leo both made fun of her.

Molly gave them a brief rundown on Jack, "After what Chad did, nobody dares to chase after me

anymore. So, I doubt it's that."

Mia said, "You never know. If he's not chasing you, why would he ask you to a play?"

Molly shook her head, finding it unlikely, "I'll ask my mom this weekend if our families are in business

together. Maybe he's trying to suck up to me?"

Mia admired her thinking.

Soon enough, Molly received a WhatsApp message. It was from Jack.

Molly was puzzled, "How did he get my number and WhatsApp? I never gave it to him."

Leo said straight up, "He must've asked around for it. Molly, this guy's up to something. Be careful."
