Rebecca didn't reply Faye's message immediately.
After a while, Rebecca texted a question mark: [?] Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Faye: [I'm at Marriott.]
Rebecca: [I'm here too!]
Faye smiled: [I have seen you.]
Rebecca: [?]
Faye: [I witnessed your love triangle.]
Rebecca: [? ? ? ?]
Looking at the series of question marks, Faye was about to continue to reply with her lips bent up.
Matthew's teasing sounded not far away.
"Colin, how do you feel to be a spectator?"
Hearing this, Colin put his arm around Faye's waist and stepped forward. He answered, "It's a love
drama. You guys are really good at acting."
Matthew chuckled. "Thank you for your compliment."
Colin said, "Nasty mind."
Matthew commented, " Your attitude show a certain narrowness of mind."
Colin raised his eyebrows. "In Cocanel, who dares to compete with you about indecency?"
Matthew replied. "Don't you dare?"
The two men were haggling. Faye's phone in her hand vibrated.
She looked down at the message from Violet: [Have you arrived yet?]
Faye replied: [Yes.]
Violet: [I'm in the private room.]
Faye: [OK.]
Afterwards, Faye looked up. "Violet has arrived. You can continue chatting, I will go first."
Colin nodded, with his hand around Faye's waist tightened. He leaned over to her ear and said, "If you
have a common language, you can communicate with the others. Don't force yourself. Don't be afraid
of awkward silence."
Faye smiled and said, "I will."
She smiled at Matthew to greet him and stepped away.
After Faye left, Matthew took out a cigarette from a cigarette case in his pocket and handed it to Colin.
Colin chuckled and took it, biting it obliquely.
Matthew took a lighter to light the cigarette for Colin, but the latter raised his hand to stop his
movement. "I'll just bite it."
Matthew asked, "Do you give up smoking?"
Colin nodded, "We are preparing for pregnancy."
Matthew joked, "You're showing off."
Colin said with a pair of smiling and amorous eyes, "You don't know many things and won't feel that
way because you're single."
Matthew gave a feigned smile. "Yes, you know everything."
He paused and asked, "What is the topic of the dinner tonight?"
Colin took off the cigarette at the corner of his mouth and twisted it in his hand. The cigarette was
broken, and the tobacco was scattered from his hand. "Someone wants to chase a woman."
Hearing his words, Matthew laughed, "Abbot?"
Colin shook his head.
Matthew was startled. "Ethan??"
Colin just smiled without saying a word.
Matthew asked incredulously, "Is there anyone he likes?"
Colin said mysteriously, "Yes."
Matthew continued, "The woman doesn't agree to be with him?"
Colin said, "There is no need to set up such a dinner party if she agrees."
Matthew said playfully, "I didn't expect him to hide his inner thoughts."
Colin smiled. "He is such a person."
In the private room, Violet held a cup of warm water and talked with Faye intermittently, looking
unnatural, but not nervous.
At the beginning, she talked with Faye about work, and then she bowed her head to sip the water in the
cup. She raised her eyes and asked, "Was the dinner planned by Ethan?"
She asked directly, and Faye didn't hide it. "Yes."
Violet said, "I knew it."
Faye laughed. "It's not hard to guess."
Both of them were silent for a moment.
After a while, Violet said, "I will go back to my hometown tomorrow."
Faye was surprised. "Why is it so sudden?"
Violet answered, "In fact, I had decided early, but I haven't had the chance and time to tell you."
Faye knew that her words were social formulae.
After all, she didn't have any really good friend in Cocanel.
Even if she had a shallow relationship with Faye, she would just bid farewell to her with phone and
send some local specialties to her after returning to her hometown.
They were less likely to take up the wine goblet and chat merrily.
Adults who were deliberately close to each other were hypocritical indeed.
Being silent for a while, Faye asked, "Does Ethan know that?"
Violet said frankly, "He knows that I have the plan, but he doesn't know when I will leave."
Faye nodded. "I see."
Violet came here because she wanted to say goodbye.
The door of the private room was pushed open from the outside. Colin, Abbot and Ethan appeared at
the same time.
They entered the room, greeting Faye and Violet, and then began to find a place to sit.
Colin went straight to Faye's side and sat in the chair.
Abbot looked embarrassed, so he sat next to Colin.
Standing at the door for a while, Ethan strode to sat in a chair beside Violet.
All of they didn't speak, which resulted in an embarrassing atmosphere in the private room.
About thirty seconds later, Colin kicked Abbot with one foot.
Abbot raised his eyes and frowned slightly, saying coldly, "What are you doing?"
Colin said in a voice that only they could hear, "You are good at changing the atmosphere and making
it less awkward. It's your time."
Abbot stared at Colin. "Are you forcing me to wear a smiling face?"
