Chapter 578 Schemes
After sending the text to Ethan, Colin snickered. He threw the phone on the bedside table, and walked
into the bathroom to take a shower.
Coming out of the bathroom, Colin dressed neatly and went downstairs.
Cindy was cooking downstairs.
Seeing Colin coming downstairs, Cindy poked her head out of the kitchen and asked, "Mr. Farrell,
would you like to have breakfast at home?"
Colin wore his tie lazily. "No."
"Then let me get you a carton of milk?"
"No. I'm good."
Cindy responded with a smile, "Okay."
When Cindy was about to withdraw her head into the kitchen, Colin said, "Make more stomach
nourishing food for breakfast in the future. Mrs. Farrell has a bad stomach."
Cindy nodded. "I understand."
"I'll let you go."
After Colin finished speaking, he walked away.
Robert was waiting in the car at the door when Colin went out.
Seeing Colin coming out, Robert got out of the car, opened the car door and said in a low voice, "Mr.
Farrell, someone is watching."
Colin leaned over and got into the car, smiling playfully. "It's time to test your driving skills."
Robert understood at once. "They are going to carry out their schemes today?" Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Yes."
Robert had been working for Colin for a long time. Robert's face did not change at Colin's words, and
he even managed a respectful smile.
Seeing the earnestness of Robert's acting, Colin's smile deepened.
Robert made eye contact with Colin and closed the car door. Then Robert stepped to the driver's seat.
Colin leaned back in the seat, took out his phone and sent a text to Faye, "Morning, honey. I love you."
Without waiting for Faye to reply, Colin turned off his phone and raised his eyes to look ahead.
Robert was an experienced driver and drove steadily. Robert looked at Colin in the rear view mirror
after the car had gone some way. "We've thrown mud at several of Brandon's subsidiary corporations
in a row recently. He must be holding a grudge."
Colin was playing with his phone. "That's exactly what I want."
"Did you tell this to Mrs. Farrell?"
When speaking of Faye, Colin's hand paused and said truthfully, "I have said half of it."
Robert was lost for words.
Colin sighed. "When she comes back, I'll make amends to her."
Robert had never dared to say much about Faye. To put an end to the subject as quickly as possible,
Robert raised his hand to touch the tip of his nose and said, "I'm sure Mrs. Farrell will understand."
Colin raised his eyebrows lightly. "Will she?"
Robert answered with little confidence, "Of course she will."
As soon as Robert finished his sentence, he saw a car passing from behind, and his brow puckered.
"Mr. Farrell."
Colin narrowed his eyes. "I saw it."
"There is a car behind us trying to pass us."
"Let it pass."
When Robert heard this, he deliberately slowed down. "There are more than one car following us. I
think they're trying to keep us in the middle. Brandon has got a lot of nerve."
Colin sneered. "The older a person is, the more he wants to prove that he is still young and vigorous."
Robert clenched the steering wheel. "Mr. Farrell, if I get hurt today, is it a work-related injury?"
Colin snickered. "Yes, and I'll give you an extra bonus."
Robert smiled. "Then I must perform well and try to get more bonuses."
After Robert finished speaking, a commercial car passed them by.
As Robert had guessed, the commercial car did not speed away after passing them, but kept a
distance of about 3.3 feet from them and drove at a constant speed.
Then another car came forward from behind drove alongside them.
Robert said, "We are surrounded."
Colin's lips curved up slightly, and a sneer flashed in his eyes. "Are they trying to force us into an
accident?"
Robert smiled back. "With my driving skills, they probably won't be able to realize that wish."
Colin's slender and straight legs stretched out in the back of the car. "Robert."
"What?"
Colin said coldly, "Meet their wish."
Robert raised his eyes and glanced at Colin. Without asking the intention, Robert replied, "Got it."
Colin turned his head to look out of the window. He took a piece of gum from his pocket, put it in his
mouth, chewed it several times, and said in a low voice, "Faye hasn't texted me back. Hasn't she got
up yet?"
