Chapter 21 : Aren't you Mrs. Kiki?

Micaela thought about asking him to sleep in the bed in her room, she was smaller and could fit on the

couch, but she was afraid he would take her to sleep in the bed with him.

So she reassured herself that maybe he'd be back in a little while....

There was a newspaper under the breakfast table. Micaela picked up her breakfast and sat down,

opened the paper and took a quick glance at it, her eyes were drawn to a job ad in the right hand

column.

"We need several jewelry design assistants...".

Micaela's mind wandered and she looked carefully at the date again, it was today's paper.

The location wasn't too far from here, it was only 5 bus stops away.

It was a job she loved and she was going to try it.

Micaela frowned again at the thought of her earlier rejection.

"Whatever, I have to try it out!

Can Adriana be powerful enough to stop all the companies from refusing to hire me?".

After washing and changing, he sat down and hurried to breakfast.

It tasted good, but her mind was in chaos....

After picking everything up, she went out with her bag.

As she went downstairs, she looked down at the lawn where she had been yesterday and Mark was no

longer there.

The way he acted yesterday made her not want to see him again.

After last night, he should have learned his lesson too, shouldn't he? Micaela thought, walked out of the

neighborhood and went to catch a bus.

She arrived at the place where the newspaper said.

Nubcancion.

The name of the company was quite special and the location was in a relatively busy area of Teladia.

He had just Googled and discovered that Nubcancion was a subsidiary of the Nunez Group, which, in

turn, was primarily involved in jewelry and jade design.

Each season, Nubcancion would highlight an accessory so stunning that you had to order it a month in

advance to get your hands on it.

Although it was only a subsidiary company, several very distinguished designers worked there....

Micaela arrived on the third floor of the interview room and scanned the large waiting room... there

were so many people coming in for interviews!

Anyone who noticed Micaela couldn't help but look twice at her.

Micaela was used to the stares, with a slight smile on her face, but an aura of aloofness that stopped

several people who wanted to approach her.

Micaela went to the reception desk and filled out the forms. The receptionist looked at her handwriting

and thought, "How pretty she is and how nice her spelling!".

Once the forms were handed in, Micaela found an empty seat and sat down.

-Did you hear? One of the people there today is designer Kiki.

-Wow, it would be great to be taken by her!

-Yes, Kiki is very talented and I love her designs. I hear she's also very nice and she's very pretty. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

-I'd love to work under her, even if I don't get paid! If you learn her skills, you won't have to worry.

***

Micaela listened silently to their conversation.

The interview began, it was individual, those whose names were called came into the office to be

interviewed.

One by one, people came in and then left, each for only a few minutes.

Time passed and the room gradually thinned out.

-Hello!

A male voice sounded next to her and Micaela turned her head to see a boy in a white sweater sitting

on the stool next to her, looking friendly and possibly a recent graduate like her.

-Hello.

Micaela replied politely.

-I'm here to interview for the design department, and you?

-I'm also...

-Next, Micaela!

The receptionist came out and knocked, interrupting Micaela's conversation, and with a nod to the boy,

got up and entered the office.

The boy saw Micaela enter and felt that his heart, which was beating nonstop, would not stop....

"Is her name Micaela? What a beautiful name...".

Micaela entered the office and instantly recognized that the woman sitting behind the desk, dressed in

a simple professional suit and a short haircut, was the designer Kiki, as the people outside had just

said.

The difference between her in person and her on the presses was huge. Micaela was a bit taken

aback.

Kiki, seeing her expression, also flinched slightly and asked:

-Do you know me?

Micaela was even more surprised.

-Aren't you Mrs. Kiki?

Kiki stood up abruptly, strided over and closed the office door behind her.

She returned and looked seriously at Micaela.

How was it possible that this little girl recognized her?

Did she recognize him at first sight?

A dozen interviews had just come in and no one had spotted her.

-How do you know?

Kiki was sure she'd never seen her before!

Micaela weighed her words carefully.

-Although she usually appears in delicate makeup in the presses, and differs a bit from now, her look

and....

Micaela looked up slightly and pointed to the underside of her chin, slightly to the right.

-She has a prominent fleshy mole in this position, which is covered by the foundation when she puts on

makeup, but is still slightly visible.

Kiki was surprised! Unconsciously, she touched the mole....

Actually, she hated being exposed, and only put on makeup very differently than she did when she had

to.

He recognized her by a mole, her eyes were too sharp!

In fact, Micaela recognized her immediately partly because she liked Kiki's work and paid attention to

her news, the mole was only one of the reasons, but mostly, it was because there was an aura of talent

that permeated Kiki.

She was by no means the charming look on the screen, but a simple and natural person.

Micaela was reluctant to tell her because she thought that, if she did, Kiki would think she was sucking

up to her.

Kiki looked closely at Micaela again, and in her clear eyes she saw herself, but from a few years ago,

and she thought she saw an "I", so she had a feeling of wanting to sympathize....

The girl was very young and had a special aura, and Kiki looked into her eyes and had a vague feeling

that she was the one he was looking for.

-Come here.

Kiki walked over to a display case.

-Give this diamond necklace a name.

"Is this the subject of today's interview?" thought Micaela, stepping forward and looking closely through

the display case.

The necklace was platinum and the highlight was the pendant, curved in the shape of a crescent moon

and set with a precious stone, which was engraved....

-Can I take it off?

Kiki immediately handed her the gloves she had prepared.

In a morning, she was the first to recognize it and the first to ask to take the necklace out to look at it,

Kiki could barely contain her inner excitement.
