Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 294
Chapter 294
Chapter 294 Cold, Elegant Damien “I haven‘t been in contact with them for a long time now. Cindy–
Connie‘s mother, my aunt–called me and told me to go to see my grandmother. She‘s not doing too
well, and they‘ve moved to Genovia. I don‘t know where they suddenly got the money to do that, and
I‘m kind of worried.”
“What‘s there to worry about?” Damien didn‘t look too bothered.
The elevator had already arrived at the basement car park. He unlocked the car and they got in.
“I‘m mainly worried about Connie. I don‘t want to fall into her trap again. But my grandmother‘s already
so old, and she doesn‘t have much time left. I don‘t really have any other relatives left.” Clarissa
suddenly felt a little choked up.
She was reminded of Grandpa Lawrence‘s and Theresa‘s deaths.
“Am I not considered your relative?” After a while, Damien asked.
She glanced at him, then lowered her head.
“I meant relatives I share the same blood with.”
“Then do you think of me as your relative?” he asked.
She nodded seriously. “Yeah, I suppose.”
“How are we related?” Damien was giving her a chance. He hoped she would take it and tell him that
he was the father of her children.
Nobody knew what was going on in Clarissa‘s mind, though.
She opened her mouth a few times but ended up remaining silent.
She was afraid she would lose the upper hand if she were to tell him the truth and that he wouldn‘t
allow her to go abroad.
“Anyway, how are you related to them?” Damien suddenly said.
This reminded Clarissa of what Theresa had told her–she wasn‘t actually Theresa‘s daughter.
Clarissa‘s head drooped further, and she felt desolate as she played with her fingers.
She was a person with no roots. She didn‘t know where she‘d come from, and she didn‘t know where
she would be going. “Why do you have to bring that up?” She couldn‘t help sounding depressed. “Just
go with me.”
Clarissa looked at him tearfully.
“Now?” Damien stopped talking about her parentage.
Chapter 204 Cold, Elegant Damien
(Yeah.”
The car left the car park and sped towards its destination.
The address Connie had sent to Clarissa was a distance away from New East Corporation.
When they arrived, Connie was there as well. She looked like she was in a terrible mood.
Clarissa ignored Connie and instead went straight to her grandmother‘s room.
Damien waited for her in the living room.
Connie and Cindy remained in the living room to “attend” to him.
Cindy, meanwhile, felt anxious at Damien‘s sudden arrival.
She had never come across someone of his caliber before–cold, elegant, and unapproachable. He had
the sort of noble aura that would silence everyone.
“Have some tea, President Lawrence,” she said to him.
She couldn‘t help salivating at him, and she wished Damien was her son–in–law.
“Leave it there.” Damien flipped through a magazine that had been on the sofa.
He didn‘t touch the tea at all.
This was Clarissa‘s husband. Though they were already divorced, Cindy had heard from Connie that
they were still staying together. It was likely that they would remarry.
In comparison, Connie was still single.
The men Connie had been on blind dates with in Pentatone County were no match for
Damien.
Connie had always lost to Clarissa since they were children. Cindy couldn‘t help getting furious as she
thought of this.
Peter had gotten a job as a security guard at one of Genovia‘s shopping malls, and had yet to get off
work. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
Damien didn‘t even spare Connie a glance.
This hurt Connie deeply. She wasn‘t in a good mood, to begin with. Madelynn had slapped her again
that day on the set of “Manor of the Marquis“.
Madelynn was used to being a bully, and she would slap Connie whenever she felt like it.
Connie now hated Madelynn to her core,
