I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 315

Arrest

Narrowing her eyes, Harper asked, "Benjamin, why do you always want me to bribe you?" Benjamin smiled.

He caressed her cheek gently, staring at her with deep eyes. "Would you give it a try?"

Instead of answering, Harper asked, "What good does a bribe do?"

Benjamin frowned as she started talking about the conditions.

He said, "What benefits do you want?"

Harper smiled, "Benjamin, you are a businessman. You won't allow me to take advantage of you, right?"

Benjamin beamed with joy. Later, she talked to him about the Mitchell family.

Squinting his eyes, he said, "Whether this matter exists or not, it's time to release your grip. You've done your part. It's now up to the Mitchell family to make their own decision. Involving yourself in this matter until the end will only yield unappreciated efforts." Benjamin's words enlightened Harper, completely resolving the contradiction in her heart.

Even as a member of the Mitchell family, she wasn't as confident as Kimberly.

Harper laughed at herself inwardly. What a realistic and cruel fact!

The next morning, Harper got up and received a video.

It was sent to her by Anderson's secretary. The video showed the police arresting Wulf at the Mitchell Group.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

Kimberly called the police with the evidence to catch Wulf. The project payment settled by the Martin Group was found in his account. Wulf had no excuse when faced with the questioning. With all the evidence before him, he could no longer deny it.

But before the police took Wulf away for investigation, he glared at Kimberly fiercely, laughing and cursing, "The Mitchell family and Jack deserve it. The Mitchell family will definitely be punished, and you'll face retribution!"

Frowning, Harper immediately sent a message, asking: [What did he mean? Did Kimberly have any reaction?]

[He didn't elaborate on it, but after

cursing, he was escorted away by the police for investigation. Ms. Kimberly Mitchell made no reply. Should I inquire with her about it?]

[No need. Thank you.]

[Ms. Mitchell, you're welcome.]

Harper put away her phone, frowning slightly and thinking, "Was Wulf's words a reaction of anger and shame because his actions were exposed?

Or was he expressing his dissatisfaction with the Mitchell family?

But the Mitchell family has been very good to him. Why should he be dissatisfied?"

Harper narrowed her eyes coldly. Benjamin came out of the bathroom after washing up. He looked at her and asked, "What's with this expression?" She handed her mobile phone to him. "I just received it. Wulf was arrested."

Benjamin reached out to take it and watched the video before staring at Harper. "Do you think there is something wrong with what he said?" "Don't you think it's strange?"

Benjamin didn't answer and watched the video again.

Then, he asked calmly, "Retribution? What kind of retribution will it be? Is it because his lust for profit has not been satisfied?"

Harper shook her head lightly. "I have no idea, but my father should also hear of Wulf's apprehension. If something really happened, wouldn't they know about it?" She fell into silence, feeling a persistent unease in her heart.

In the hospital, Kimberly told Wulf's matter to Jack and comforted him. "Dad, Wulf is an ingrate. He exploited our goodwill and caused harm to the Mitchell Group. Now he has finally been brought to justice. You have to get well quickly. The Mitchell Group needs you now!"

With an unreadable expression, Jack nodded and said concisely, "I see." Kimberly was puzzled by his nonchalant response.

ét

Jennifer whispered, "Kimberly, Jack is a little tired Let's wait until he is discharged from the hospital. And as for Wulf's arrest, let's just put it behind us. We were naive to trust him This time, the Mitchell family might have suffered a lot without you!"
