I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 314

The Theme

"You're welcome. This is what I should do."

After taking these things, Harper didn't rush to do anything but asked Curtis, "Do you think the Mitchell family will believe it?"

Harper had no confidence in this.

Due to the actions of the Mitchell family towards her, she believed they would side with Wulf instead of her.

Harper was lost in thought.

This question stumped Curtis.

He couldn't provide a definite answer because it concerned the Mitchell family.

Yet, he pondered about it and finally devised a plan for Harper. "Mrs. Martin, I think Ms. Kimberly Mitchell could tell right from wrong. Why don't you send the evidence to her anonymously? This will also allow her to make an informed decision. If she chooses to believe in Wulf, you won't face any repercussions. How does that sound?"

Harper fell silent.

She found it absurd that despite her desire to investigate, she lacked the courage to expose it directly.

Harper still couldn't completely ignore the Mitchell family.

She took a silent breath and, finally following Curtis's instructions, sent it to Kimberly via email.

Harper waited for a long time without any replies. If this continued, she wouldn't pay further attention to this matter. With her registration confirmed for the design competition, she now needed to concentrate on selecting three assistants and crafting her competition entries. The theme of the architectural design competition was the farm, requiring innovative design while maintaining the essence of the farm theme.

This unquestionably presented significant challenges for everyone involved. The Martin Group suggested this theme because they had acquired a piece of land several years ago but had not yet commenced development on it. This year, they decided to incorporate the land into the project and proposed to establish a farm-style resort.

In the initial stage of the competition, the comprehensive design framework would serve as the criterion for advancing to the next round. Upon progression to the second round, the finals would hinge on the overall design outline. Ultimately, the complete design drawings and excellence in all aspects would determine the top three finalists.

Harper returned to the apartment in the evening.

She sat before the computer, her gaze fixed upon it blankly, devoid of inspiration, her head drooping with exhaustion.

Benjamin brought her fruit and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Why did the Martin Group use farm as the theme?"

Harper was puzzled.

Benjamin smiled, "That land is suitable for farms but not for high-rise buildings and residential buildings."

"It can be built into a park."

"Harper, I am a businessman. Do

you think a park will be lucrative et

Only by turning it into a farm can it bringprofit to the Martin Group."

His serious reply rendered Harper speechless.

She smiled faintly, "The capitalists' ideas are indeed simple and direct."Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

"Are you laughing at me?" Benjamin pinched her face and forced her to look at him, Harper wanted to struggle, but he didn't give her a chance. He asked in a hoarse voice, "What happened to you today? Are

you unhappy?"

Harper's displeasure was visible.

Yet, she replied, "No."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"If so, why do you pick on the Martin Group?" Benjamin narrowed his deep eyes and stared at her intently.

Harper said softly, "Because I have to draft a design for the competition. You've chosen the theme. Can't I complain about it?" "Do you think it's difficult?"

Harper replied, "Of course."

Honestly, it wasn't very hard. She just lacked inspiration at the moment.

Benjamin glanced at her gently, his smile brighter and his voice tinged with temptation. "Since you're not keen on wracking your brains over the competition draft, why don't you consider how to bribe me to grant you direct entry to the finals?"
