I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 307

Suspicion

"Harper didn't tell you?" Anderson asked and glanced at Annie, his eyes revealing some calculations.

Before Annie could answer, he continued, "Tell me the truth if you want to know. Did you meet him when you were in Mayby?" Annie's face instantly turned cold. "You've asked me many times. If you want to know, why don't you just check it out?"

Then, she turned around and left. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Anderson watched her back, his face gloomy. He didn't bother to ask her if he could find out. It was because he couldn't find anything that he had to ask her again and again.

Some things seemed to be beyond Anderson's control, which made him feel upset.

He was silent momentarily and called his secretary, "Ask the PR director to come to see me."

Anderson talked to the two people and asked them to go to Mayby immediately.

He wasn't curious about what Harper needed his people for and wouldn't ask. Anyway, he was not at a loss.

The next morning, Anderson's people arrived in Mayby. Harper sent them to the Mitchell Group. She had talked to Kimberly in advance. Later, Kimberly personally arranged for them to enter the Mitchell Group and asked them to temporarily take over the work until Jack returned.

After handling the matter, Harper went to the hospital where the injured employees stayed with Sophia.

Harper had checked and learned which ward the employees stayed in. She entered the ward and saw it was full. Each ward had three beds. She and Sophia came to a middle-aged woman whom no one talked to. As a colleague, Harper said, "Hello, we are colleagues of your son. We knew you were not feeling well, so we came here to see if you were okay."

The middle-aged mom was a little flattered. "Are you Zach's colleagues?"

"Yes, we're close to Zach," Sophia quickly said.

Zach's mom whispered, "Are you cooks too?"

Harper was slightly stunned. She then smiled faintly and didn't respond. She changed the subject and asked, "Why are so many people here?"

Zach's mom stopped thinking about Harper and Sophia's identities. After all, they had brought flowers and fruits and seemed kind. She quickly responded in a low voice, "They were injured from jumping from a

building. They sounded fine, but they kept telling the doctor they felt uncomfortable and asked for a report or something."

"The injury examination report?" Harper said.

"Yeah. It seems to be that. These people are the victim's families. They are discussing asking for compensation from the company."

Harper nodded and said nothing. She thought, "Since they are fine, why did they tell the doctor they felt uncomfortable?

Did they plan from the beginning?"

Harper became more and more suspicious. She looked at Sophia and then said to Zach's mom, "Please take care of yourself. We're leaving." "Are you leaving now? Why don't you wait until Zach returns?"

"No. We have to go to work."

Harper and Sophia left the ward and silently walked out of the hospitat

After they got in the car, Sophia asked, "Ms. Mitchell, are these people trying to blackmail you?"

"Do you feel it, too?" Harper asked.

"Yeah, a little bit. Zach's mom said that they sounded fine."

They were fine, but they refused to be discharged. They obviously had a purpose.

Harper pondered before driving back to the company.

She had to go to the Martin Group herself. She had something to ask Benjamin.

After sending Sophia downstairs the company, Harper didn't get out of the car but just said, "Don't mention our trip to the hospital to anyone People in the company talk, and I'm worried they may accidentally let it slip.
