Chapter 357
Chapter 357
Arya woke up on the third night. The room was dark and quiet. She could only hear the sound of
breathing. She slowly opened her eyes and looked around. Since she did not see her child, she
became nervous. When the child was born, she was in a coma, not knowing if the child was healthy
and safe. Neither did she know she had a boy or a girl.
She was about to sit up when her hand was being held. She looked down and saw Xavier looking at
her. The dim light could not blur his obsidian eyes.
"Are you awake?" His voice sounded hoarse. It seemed that he didn't take a good rest.
Arya nodded slightly and she asked in a hoarse voice. "Where's our baby?" Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
Xavier's expression slightly changed.
To prevent her from worrying, he said, "Our baby is fine."
Arya relaxed and closed her eyes, looking tired. Xavier did not dare to disturb her anymore.
Early the next morning, Daisy came and saw that Arya was asleep, thinking that she hadn't woken up
yet.
After Arya left the operating room, Xavier did not leave her. He had not eaten or drunk anything for the
past few days, and his eyes were bloodshot because of staying up late. He must have not slept for the
past few nights.
Daisy felt heartbroken. "Go have a rest. I'll stay here."
She was afraid that Xavier refused, so she said first, "Look at you. How long haven't you changed your
clothes? The doctor said that she might wake up today. Will she be glad to see your look?"
Xavier looked up at Daisy. "Ask Nanny May to make some food and bring it over. She'll be hungry
when she wakes up."
"She's awake? When?" Daisy stared at Arya to see if she was awake. The doctor said that she might
wake up today, but he wasn't sure. So when she heard Xavier say Arya woke up, she stared at Arya
happily.
"Last night." Xavier's voice changed. He had a stubbly beard and his clothes were wrinkled. He stood
up. "Please take care of her and I'll be back soon."
"I got this. You can come back after a rest," Daisy said.
Seeing him exhausting himself, she felt uncomfortable.
Xavier did not say a word and just walked out of the room in silence.
He didn't want Arya to see his current look.
After Xavier left, Daisy made a phone call. "It's me. Make something digestible and nutritious, and bring
it over."
Nanny May said, "Okay, I'll make fish soup and fried eggs, okay?"
"OK," Daisy hung up the phone.
At this time, the doorbell rang. She walked over to open the door. It was Orlando who was carrying a
thermos in his hand. Daisy was not familiar with him and asked, "Who are you?"
"My name is Orlando. I help take charge of Miss Harrison's company. I'm here to see her today."
Daisy nodded. She looked away and said, "Come in."
Orlando walked in and looked at Daisy. "Can I go in and see her?"
Daisy nodded and said, "She's sleeping. Please be gentle."
As she spoke, Daisy gently pushed open the door of the ward. Although she was careful, Arya was
woken up. She opened her eyes and saw Orlando standing beside the bed. "Why are you here?"
Orlando raised his lips. "I'm here to see you." Orlando turned to Daisy. "Can I talk to Miss Harrison
alone?"
Daisy glanced at Arya and said, "Okay, but don't talk for too long. She needs to rest."
"Okay, I see. " Orlando said with a smile.
After the door of the room was closed, Arya looked at Orlando in confusion. "What are you going to tell
me?"
Orlando curled his lips. "Listen, how weak you are!" He raised his hand and showed her thermos in his
hand. "It's for you. My mother made it."
As he spoke, he had placed it on the table and poured it out for her. "I'm telling you, my mother knows
how to cook food for post-partum mother, in different ways for a month." Arya moved and wanted to sit
up. Orlando found her intention and reached out to hold her. "Can you sit up?"
"Yes." She leaned against the end of the bed slowly with the help of the other hand.
Orlando handed her the bowl. "Have a try."
Arya's mouth was dry. "Give me a glass of water first."
Orlando got her a glass of water. "Congratulations."
Arya took the water, took a few sips, and felt better. She didn't want to talk to Orlando about it.
"You're here. Is there anyone in the company?" Arya asked deliberately. She wanted to be alone at this
time.
"Hey!" Orlando glared at her. "Come on. Can't I have a break?"
Arya couldn't help but smile.
Looking at Arya's expression, Orlando bent over to meet her eyes and asked with a smile, "Where did
you find such a dedicated deputy? I think you and Xavier have to give me a bonus."
"Moneygrubber?" Arya raised her eyebrows.
Orlando pulled a chair over and sat down beside the bed. He looked at Arya seriously. "I'm 27 years
old. I haven't married yet. Isn't it because I'm poor?"
Arya smiled and didn't want to debunk him.
"Why are you laughing? I feel scared." Orlando rubbed his arms.
After talking to Orlando, Arya felt better. She felt a little hungry so she picked up the bowl he put on the
table and took a sip. The warm temperature was just right.
"This is chicken soup. It's best for you."
Arya held the bowl in her hand and looked at Orlando seriously. "I know you love someone in your
heart."
Orlando's heart skipped a beat. Did she know?
"Why are you so serious?" Arya frowned.
"You said that you knew I loved someone in my heart?" Orlando asked.
"Yeah." Arya looked at him. "If you don't love anyone in your heart, why are you single?"
