Chapter 351
Chapter 351
After sending Ryan to the kindergarten, Bridget brought the soup that Nanny May had packed for her
and went to the hospital.
Arya was eating fruit. The soup that Daisy had brought over these two days contained a lot of calories
and she sweated in bed at night. She wanted to eat something greasy.
Seeing Bridget bringing soup again, Arya drank silently.
Bridget handed the soup to Nanny Joy. "Pour it for my sister-in-law."
Nanny Joy knew that Arya was tired of drinking the soup these two days. She smiled and said, "Madam
has just had her meal. I'll heat it up if she's hungry later."
Bridget took the hint. She sat beside Arya and said, "I know you must have had enough of the soup."
She sighed and changed the subject, "I can't take it either by the look. Look at the thick oil floating on it.
If I can't drink a bowl of it, how can you drink it for so many days? In fact, my mother is afraid that you
won't have the strength to give birth and will suffer more. She has been trying her best to provide
nutrients to you in the next few days..."
Could Arya not know?
It wasn't that she didn't want to drink it, but she just wanted to slow down. She was sweating and
couldn't sleep for two nights. This was probably because she drank too much soup.
"Well, I'll drink later. I just ate some fruits and my stomach is full." This was what Arya really thought.
This was Daisy's caring. She couldn't get enough food to eat when she was pregnant with Ryan.
Bridget leaned on the sofa, "Arya..."
Bridget asked her if she wanted to have a boy or a girl. Suddenly Arya's phone on the table rang. The
phone did not show the name and it showed a string of numbers.
Bridget reached out her head and asked, "Who is this? I thought it was my brother."
Arya took the phone and said, "I don't know. Your brother hasn't finished his work recently."
As she spoke, Arya picked up the phone.
There was no voice on the phone. Arya frowned and was about to hang up when Georgina said, "It's
Arya, right?"
Arya felt her voice was familiar, but she didn't remember who she was for a moment.
"Who are you?"
"Georgina, do you remember me?"
Knowing who it was, Arya's face suddenly darkened. "I have nothing to say to you."
Arya hung up the phone.
Seeing that Arya didn't look well, Bridget asked carefully, "Who is it?"
"The wrong number." Arya didn't want to say much about Georgina.
Bridget did not continue to ask.
Arya sat on the sofa, feeling that it was not good for Georgina to call her all of a sudden. After thinking
about it, she picked up her phone and walked into the room, dialing Xavier's number.
Xavier and Cullen were together. Mr. Gates's case involved too many people, and it would not be heard
in public.
It would only be a charge and a direct sentence.
"That's good." Cullen was satisfied with the outcome. If the trial was to be held in public, he didn't know
if he could wait until then.
However, at this moment, Xavier's phone rang. He took it out and showed that it was 'Arya', the name
of which was written for the first time and had not been changed since then. Arya didn't call him much.
He recalled many things when suddenly seeing the two words. NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
He stood up and said to Cullen, "I'll answer the phone."
Xavier walked to the window and pressed the button "accept". "Yes, what's wrong?"
Arya sat by the bed and told him about receiving Georgina's call, "I'm afraid she'll do something
irrational. I'm a little worried about Ryan."
Arya was afraid that Georgina would vent her anger and noticed Ryan.
"I see. Don't worry either. Everything will be fine." Xavier comforted her, "Have a good rest. I'll be back
soon."
Arya answered softly.
Xavier called Jacob to monitor Georgina's recent moves.
The kindergarten Ryan attended was the best in W City, both in terms of education and safety. If
Georgina wanted to do something to Ryan, she could only do it during the after-school time, when
Daisy went to pick her up. Georgina could only snatch Ryan away in public, which was the only way for
her.
But what Arya said was reasonable. Georgina's family had experienced unfortunate changes. It was
inevitable that she would do something drastic.
Xavier hung up the phone and walked back.
"Is it Arya?" Cullen asked.
"Yes."
Cullen hesitated for a moment and said, "Go back early and spend as much time with her as possible."
That was what Xavier had thought. He looked at the adjutant and said, "Call me if you need anything."
The adjutant straightened his back and replied, "I will."
When Xavier left the hospital and was about to start the car to go to Arya, the phone in his pocket rang
again. This time, it was Cullen's adjutant. As soon as Xavier left, Cullen fainted.
Xavier turned off the car and immediately returned to the ward. Cullen had been sent to the emergency
room.
The adjutant walked around the corridor anxiously.
When he saw Xavier walking over, he seemed to have found the one to rely on. He immediately came
over and said worriedly, "As soon as you left, he fainted. I'm very worried that the old chief won't be
able to survive this time..."
Xavier pursed his lips and set tight his jaw, which fully showed that he was nervous.
What if Cullen really... What about Arya at this time?
Her due date for delivery was just a few days.
"Nothing will happen," Xavier said this as if he was talking to the adjutant, but also as if he was
comforting himself.
Over there, after calling Xavier, Arya finally felt safe. She felt a little tired. Recently, she was getting
heavier and heavier. She put down her phone and lay down.
She closed her eyes and was just about to fall asleep when her phone on the table received a text
message. Her eyelashes flickered slightly and she did not open her eyes. Then there was another
sound. Arya felt a little agitated and muted the phone. Two unread text messages appeared on the
screen of her phone, one was a voice message, and the other was a video.
She clicked the screen...
In the video it was Daisy, who was tied to a concrete pillar, surrounded by a mess. Daisy looked bad.
Arya got nervous and lost the desire to sleep. She began to sit down, which hurt her waist. She held
her back and clicked on the voice. It was Georgina's voice, "Daisy is in my hand now. If you want to
collect her body, just hang up my phone. Besides, don't tell anyone. Otherwise, she would have died
miserably. I'll wait for your call."
It was as if a bomb had exploded in her mind. She called out to the door, "Bridget..."
Bridget walked in, pushed open the door, and asked nervously, "What's wrong, sister-in-law?"
This sudden call made her believe that Arya was going to give birth.
"Why are you alone today? Where is mom?"
Thinking of what Nanny May said this morning, Bridget replied, "She seemed to have an appointment.
She went out in the morning."
"Do you know who she was meeting?" Arya tried her best to calm herself down, trying to find any flaw.
She hoped that the video Georgina sent was fake, and it wasn't Daisy at all.
Bridget thought for a moment, "Her surname is Taylor. It seems to be Mrs. Taylor."
Daisy used to have connections with her. "In the past, Mrs. Taylor wanted her daughter to marry my
brother. My brother refused..."
Bridget suddenly covered her mouth and felt that she had said too much. She quickly explained,
"Sister-in-law, that was a long time ago."
"Mrs. Taylor, her daughter Georgina," Arya asked, but she already had an answer in her mind.
Bridget nodded.
Arya didn't understand why Georgina was hostile to her before. It turned out to be like this...
