Chapter 389
Chapter 389
Skylar clearly knew that Coralie was lying, but he did not expose her.
He brought Coralie back to the room, poured her a glass of hot water, and insisted on calling the doctor
to check on her.
After confirming that she was fine, Skylar said, "Go to bed early. I will take you out tomorrow."
Coralie could tell that Skylar had suspected that she was lying, but she did not know how to explain
Yohan's matter to him.
She remembered the video and the medicine that Yohan gave Skylar...
There was nothing but hatred between them.
"Okay, thank you."
Coralie said, and then covered herself with a blanket and intended to sleep.
She did not notice that after she said 'thank you,' Skylar's facial expression changed slightly.
However, he did not disturb Coralie. He just sat on the reclining chair outside the house and looked at
the sea under the night sky, lost in thought.
When he thought about it, Coralie seemed to be avoiding something. He looked back and thought that
she started to act strangely after seeing the other couple on the beach.
Skylar thought about it and said to Coralie, who was
sleeping soundly, "I'll go out for a walk." RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
Then he left.
He went straight to the front desk and asked, "I want to know the names of the guests on the island."
The reception heard his request and declined, "I'm sorry, sir, we cannot provide the list of our guests to
private individuals. This is to protect the privacy of our guests."
If they were at home, Skylar would have easily gotten it with his own connections. However, on that
island, he did not know anyone...
Thinking about this, Skylar used the room's phone and contacted the housekeeper.
Since Skylar had booked the largest room, the housekeeper would naturally respond to Skylar's
request immediately.
The housekeeper was also a citizen of Country A. After he saw Skylar, he gave him a coconut juice
before asking, "Mr. Holland, is there anything I can assist you with?"
"I want to have a look at the names of the guests on the island, just the names will do."
Seeing the hesitation on the housekeeper's face, Skylar immediately took out a handful of 100-dollar
bills from his pocket and placed them on the table.
At first glance, it was at least 2000 dollars.
The housekeeper looked at the stack of money and asked, "Just the names, right?"
"Yes, I only want the names, nothing else."
As Skylar spoke, he pushed the stack of dollars to the housekeeper.
The housekeeper quickly put the money away and happily said, "Okay, please wait a while."
Less than 20 minutes later, the housekeeper quickly returned.
He held a thin piece of paper with the list of all the guests on the island. The list clearly stated the
accommodation place and time of departure for all guests, as well as their room number.
Skylar took a rough look at the list.
A familiar name appeared on the list!
"Leonardo Watson!"
When Skylar saw the name, he understood the reason for Coralie's strange behavior.
She did this to prevent him from meeting Yohan!
"Do you have the itinerary for this guest?"
Skylar pointed at Yohan's name and asked the housekeeper.
The butler shook his head. "I'm sorry, Mr. Holland. I'm not in charge of the guest in this room. I do not
know their itinerary."
"Okay, thank you."
Skylar did not make things difficult for the housekeeper. He only remembered Yohan's room number.
That night, Skylar went to Yohan's room. However, the room was dark, which meant that they were
either sleeping or they were not in their room.
The next morning, Coralie woke up before Skylar.
After washing up, she put on the beach dress that she bought the day before and asked, "Skylar,
where are we going today?"
"We will be going to an island nearby and have lunch there before coming back. We will need to travel
by boat. Are you okay with that?"
Skylar felt that although Coralie had been lying yesterday, she was able to quickly come up with an
excuse. It must have been because she really felt uncomfortable on the water plane.
"No problem. The doctor gave me the motion sickness medicine yesterday. I will be fine after taking it."
Coralie flashed him a smile.
When she heard that they would leave the island that day, she felt at ease. As long as Yohan was not
on the same itinerary as them, they would not meet.
In this way, they could spend their day in peace.
The trip was scheduled for 10 o'clock.
Coralie had called for room service to have their breakfast in their room just to be safe.
After breakfast, Coralie and Skylar went to the boat and waited for the other passengers. Coralie
prayed that Yohan would not sign up for the same itinerary.
At 10 o'clock, there were six people on the boat and Yohan was not one of them. Coralie was relieved.
However, just as the ship was about to set sail...
"Wait a minute!"
A female voice rang from afar.
Coralie saw the long- haired girl from yesterday running over with Yohan from her seat. They were out
of breath when they arrived, and they then boarded the ship.
Skylar turned his head and saw Yohan and the girl. Although Yohan was wearing a pair of sunglasses,
Skylar recognized him because he already knew that Yohan was on the island.
When Skylar looked at Yohan, he looked back.
Coralie knew that there was no way to escape. She turned her head and pretended that she did not
see them.
Along the way, Coralie did not say a word. Skylar saw that Coralie kept looking outside the boat, and
he knew that she was avoiding them, so he did not bother her.
However, as the boat almost reached the shore, everyone had to get off the boat and walk a short
distance before reaching the shore.
Coralie and Skylar were sitting at the end of the boat. Yohan and the others had already disembarked.
Skylar got off the boat first and Coralie followed.
Coralie jumped into the water and looked at Yohan and the girl not far away. She deliberately walked
slower, hoping to keep a distance from them.
"There is no need to hide. I saw him."
Skylar, who was holding her hand, suddenly said.
Coralie knew what he was talking about.
She lowered her head and whispered, "Then promise me, can you pretend like you have not seen him?
Do not talk to him. We do not have any business with him anymore."
Coralie knew that she could not speak up for Yohan in front of Skylar.
"Since he gave you that thing, he and I are even,"
That was all Skylar said.
He did not intend to get to the bottom of it with Yohan. Besides, he had helped them by giving the
recordings to Coralie.
The recordings might convince Lillian to give up her intention of making Valerie her daughter-in-law.
"Well, thank you, Skylar."
"If you thank me again, I'll reconsider what I just said."
Skylar felt a little angry in his heart when Coralie thanked him.
"Alright, alright."
Coralie quickly expressed.
However, as they slowly reached the shore, they looked up and saw Yohan, dressed in a long sleeve
top and long pants, standing by the shore.
It was clear that he was waiting for them.
