You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie)

Chapter 337

Chapter 337

While Abigail was making a reservation for the private room, Coralie and the others were listening on

the side...

"Yes, we want the largest private room. Minimum spending? What? Are you afraid that we won't be

able to reach the minimum spending price? Prepare the best dishes!"

Abigail's voice was very loud, very much like a nouveau riche.

It was as if she was afraid that Coralie might feel that her "sincerity" was not enough.

"Mom... Where are we going?"

Hendric was happily packing up his stuff inside the room. When he heard the people outside said that This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

they were going to have dinner, he was a little unhappy.

He poked his head out and listened to Abigail talking on the phone as he pouted.

"My dear grand-nephew, I was so busy on the phone that I forgot something important!"

After Abigail said that, the two aunts both took out a little red envelope with money in it and gave it to

Hendric.

The envelopes were really thick. From the look of their thicknesses, there was at least 5000 dollars

inside!

"You don't have to do that, he's just a child so he doesn't need that." Coralie was so shocked that she

immediately stood in front of Hendric and refused them.

She didn't even dare to have dinner with them as she was afraid that it was going to be a feast.

"We've already prepared it anyway."

As Vera spoke, she was about to stuff the envelope into Hendric's palms.

Hendric was also sensible. He shook his head and said, "Mommy told me that I shouldn't accept things

from others."

"We're not other people. We're your grandaunts."

"Yes. Call me Grandaunt and this will be yours."

Hearing the two old ladies forcing Hendric to accept them as his family, Coralie was really disgusted

and she was thinking about how to drive them out.

However as the saying goes, you shouldn't hit a smiling person. The two of them were smiling all the

time, she could not figure out how to send them away.

"I don't want it!"

After saying that, Hendric ran into the room.

They were smiling too long and their face became a little stiff. The two of them looked at each other in

bewilderment.

"Okay then, if he takes the money, then we wouldn't be going for dinner tonight. If you want to have

dinner together, then he cannot accept the money."

Coralie came up with an idea.

In this way, she would owe them less, and it would be easier to repay them in the future.

"Then..." Abigail looked at Vera and immediately took back the envelope and said, "Then let's have

dinner together tonight."

They thought for a while and finally chose to invite Coralie to have dinner with them.

The two stayed in Coralie's house for the whole afternoon. Coralie felt that their conversation was so

awkward the whole time.

Coralie finally understood how it felt to not be able to have a proper conversation with someone.

......

During the dinner in the evening, Abigail and Vera's children refused to join. After all, it was the first day

of the holidays, so their daughters were with their own families.

There were only five people sitting at a big private room on the large table.

Coralie and Hendric were sitting next to each other. The other four were all more than a meter away

from each other, so it was inconvenient for them to talk. They might not even hear each other well if

their voices were a little lower.

Coralie sat there and looked at the dishes being served on the table; the table was full of all sorts of

delicacies. It was just the five of them, yet there was enough food for 15 people.

When the fifth dish was served, Coralie noticed that something was wrong. She then quickly said, "We

aren't going to be able to finish the food, how about we ask them not to serve those that they hadn't

prepared yet?"

"No, we've already ordered it. It must be prepared already. It's okay if we don't finish the food. We can

just have a taste of it."

Abigail was putting on airs.

Coralie watched as the dishes were being served one by one, which was absolutely beyond the portion

of how much they could eat.

When the dishes were all served, and everyone was almost done eating, Abigail then began to say,

"Coralie, actually Vera and I saw the news about you and President Holland of Skyton Corporation."

"Mhmm."

Coralie had known it beforehand. They mentioned Coralie not telling them about her relationship with

Skylar five years ago, and Coralie knew that they changed their attitude because of Skylar.

She didn't want to say anything more.

"Coralie, don't get me wrong!" Seeing that Coralie had no reaction, Abigail quickly said, "We support

you. Men should make money to take care of women. Howard doesn't have the ability to, so it's right

for him to get lost. No one can stop you from pursuing a wonderful life."

After hearing Abigail's words, Vera said along, "Yes, as a woman, life is short, and your youth is

precious. You should think about yourself. Otherwise, you will turn old in the blink of an eye. By then,

you wouldn't get to cry even if you regret it."

Coralie's perspective towards the two was completely ruined as she listened to them speak.

After the incident, her colleagues all hated her. However, these two aunts of hers actually took her side!

They actually felt that she was doing the right thing!

Coralie felt that if she was an observer of the situation, if what Howard said was true, she would feel

sorry for Howard and think what his wife did was extremely wrong.

But now, these two aunts were saying the complete opposite!

"Aunt." Coralie took a sip of water and said with a smile, "The thing between me and Howard is not like

what he said. I wouldn't despise him for being poor but the truth is not what you think it is."

"We know! We're all on the same side. You don't need to find an excuse for us. We're all women, and

women know women best."

"Yes, it is right to give up on such a man who has no desire for success and who has no future."

The two of them still felt that Coralie was looking for excuses.

"Howard was the one who had an affair. That was why we got divorced."

Coralie said these words calmly.

The two of them were stunned for a moment. No one expected Coralie to say that, but they then said

along immediately, "Oh, I see. I knew you weren't such a person. How could you have done such a

thing? It's all nonsense written by the media."

"That's right! We have watched you grow up since you were young. We know you best."

Coralie listened to them spouting all sorts of nonsense and she didn't want to say anything more.

Hera did not say a word too.

However, no one paid any attention to Hera either. The two aunts had all their attention on Coralie.

The meal was finally ending soon after a long time of both the women trying hard to please Coralie.

Coralie wanted to pay for the bill, but Abigail and Vera refused to let her do so. They were almost

getting into a quarrel to pay for the bill.

In the end, they decided to split the bill.

When they were about to leave, Coralie looked at the rest of the dishes on the table and said, "Why

don't we pack them up?"

"No! These dishes are only delicious when eaten fresh. It won't taste as good after you reheat it."

"That's right!"

They were about to leave already, yet they still didn't forget to pretend to be generous.

The dinner finally ended. Coralie then brought Hendric and Hera and they took a taxi back home.

After they left, Abigail and Vera gave each other a glance and hurried back into the private room.

In the room, several waiters were keeping the dishes, and they quickly shouted, "Why are you taking

them away? We want to pack them up!"

The waiters were about to throw the food away and they looked at each other, speechless when they

heard that.

After all, they heard with their own ears that Coralie suggested packing the food up, but it was the both

of them who said the food wouldn't be fresh if they packed them up. They thought that these two must

be extremely rich...
