You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie)

Chapter 201

Chapter 201

Coralie's heart was a mess when she called Houston on the phone.

She could not think of how she should address Houston anymore.

Houston, who was on the other end of the line, heard Coralie was silent. Then, he asked, "You and

Skylar..."

"I'm divorced."

Coralie's voice was extremely calm.

However, only she knew that she felt like a piece of her heart had been dug out when she got the

divorce certificate.

Even breathing was painful.

"Divorced?"

Hearing her answer, Houston was a little surprised.

After all, a few days ago, Coralie still acted like she had a good relationship with Skylar. How could they

divorce so soon?

Was it because Coralie was willing to sacrifice? Or did Skylar give up on his wife for the company?

"Yes, President Zac. I know it's difficult, but I still hope that out of respect for my mother, you can

schedule a meeting for me with the people from Watson Group as soon as possible."

Coralie changed the topic.

At that time, she cleverly mentioned 'her mother'. Of course, she was referring to Madison Carter.

After all, despite the fact that Houston and Coralie were blood-related, they were nothing to each other.

Coralie could only use Madison if she wanted to sway Houston, hoping that Houston could keep an eye

on that matter.

Bringing up Madison, as expected, Houston quickly said, "I know. I will arrange a meeting for you with

them as soon as possible."

"Then, when we meet, we can also talk about the investment in Skyton Corporation..."

Coralie felt that she was impertinent, but she had no choice.

After all, one more day the matter was delayed, one more day Skylar would have to drink for Skyton

Corporation. Coralie only hoped that she could do her best to avoid things like that that.

However, she didn't know that Houston was more eager to get things settled than her.

"Okay, I'll make an appointment and let you know."

Houston promised her, but there was a hint of cunningness in his expression.

After hanging up the phone, Houston immediately called Yohan and made an appointment.

The appointment was set three days later. It was a Saturday, at a hidden clubhouse in A City.

Coralie felt that since she was going to meet the man she had to marry, so out of courtesy, she put on

light makeup and a set of proper clothes. Then, she got into the car Houston had prepared and arrived

at the hall.

She entered the hall and saw three people sitting in a small room.

They were Houston, Jasper, and a foreigner.

Coralie looked over. Judging by the foreigner's face, he looked to be in his forties. He was not young © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

anymore. She guessed that was the man she was going to marry.

Although she felt very reluctant, thinking that for Skylar, even if it was an old man sitting there that day,

she would marry him.

"Sorry, I'm late."

She was not late, but as she was the last one to arrive, Coralie apologized politely.

"It's okay. Coralie, let me introduce to you. This is Mr. Martin, the CEO of Watson Group Eastern

District."

"Nice to meet you."

Coralie was stunned when she heard that, but she still politely greeted Martin and they shook hands.

She looked around the room. There were only four chairs in the room, which meant only those four

people would be present that day.

However, it was obvious that Martin was not the person she was going to marry. Did it mean that the

person she was going to marry was not going to come that day?

Martin looked at Coralie with a friendly smile and said politely, "Miss Zac, I've heard a lot about you. It's

nice to finally see you in person."

That day, Coralie came there as Houston's daughter. Hence, naturally, Martin would address her as

Miss Zac.

He deliberately mentioned a common phrase. Although it was not fluent, it was not bad.

"I'm flattered."

Coralie responded him politely.

After introducing each other, the meeting began.

Martin immediately took out two contracts. One was an agreement made by an investment company

under Watson Group that promised to invest in Skyton Corporation, while the other one was a

prenuptial agreement.

Initially, Martin passed the agreement to Houston. However, Houston said that it was better for Coralie

to make her own decision, so he handed the agreement to Coralie.

Coralie looked at the contract regarding the investment in Skyton Corporation. She pored over it very

carefully and took note of every word, fearing that Skylar would be taken advantage of if she made a

mistake.

One of the terms was that Coralie had to refrain from having any intimate interaction with Skylar for a

period of three years. Otherwise, they would have to pay back ten times the investment fund. Although

she hesitated when she saw that, she thought it was also reasonable.

After she read through the investment contract carefully, she solemnly signed it.

After that, she took the prenuptial agreement and glanced at it briefly. Then, she turned to the last

page. When she was about to sign her name, Coralie noticed the man's name next to hers, "Leonardo

Watson?"

The name sounded familiar...

There were not many people with a name like that around her, but Coralie felt that she had heard of it

somewhere.

"This is the name of our Young Master."

Martin explained.

"Has your Young Master appeared in the news recently?"

"Well. I don't know..."

Martin shook his head.

Houston seemed to know Coralie's suspicions. After thinking for a while, he said, "He was at the

banquet of the development project few days ago."

He said so, but he didn't mention that he was the person who snatched Skylar's project away.

After all, there were a lot of successful people at that banquet that day. Coralie would not have thought

that Leonardo Watson was the same person who put Skyton Corporation to its end.

"Oh, no wonder."

Coralie thought that she had heard of that person at the banquet hall that day. At that moment, she

couldn't care much anymore. She had no other choice too.

She then signed her name on the agreement.

When the two contracts were signed, Coralie was relieved.

After Martin confirmed it carefully, he said to Coralie, "There should be no problem."

"The investment in Skyton Corporation..."

All Coralie cared about was Skylar. She had to do her best to make sure the investment was done as

soon as possible.

"Coralie... You're being too much. Mr. Martin already assured that he will invest in it, but you're

confirming it over and over again. Are you afraid that we would deceive you?"

Jasper, who had been silent on the side, finally spoke.

Although he was wearing spectacles, his eyes were sharp. He couldn't hide the disgust on his face as

he looked at Coralie.

"It's okay, it's okay. I know how Miss Zac is feeling right now. Don't worry, in three days, the funds will

be in place!"

Seeing Jasper was irritated, Martin helped to ease the situation.

Although he could tell that Jasper and Coralie didn't behave like siblings at all, it had nothing to do with

him.

Three days...

Although Coralie hoped it could be done sooner, she was in no position to ask for more. She could only

say, "I'll leave it to you, Mr. Martin."

When Martin left with the contracts, Coralie talked to Houston out of courtesy and then excused herself

and left.

After all, her relationship with Jasper was so bad. If she stayed for another second, they might have

gotten into a fight.

When Coralie walked to the door, she felt nauseous. She covered her mouth and rushed to the

washroom...
