Chapter 2 Death Anniversary
Hailey’s Point of View
As we walked, I noticed that someone seemed to be watching us.
“Guys, I’m tired.” Agatha said.
We went to the dormitory, and when we entered, there were two men inside.
“What are you doing here?” Ethan asked.
“Get out!” Nadia shouted.
“So, are you the newbies?” One of them asked.
“Isn’t it obvious?” I asked.
“What’s your name?” He asked me
“H-Hailey.” I said, stuttering because they had pulled out a knife.
They both just laughed after I said my name.
“That’s not funny.” I said irritatedly.
I was shocked when the man threw the knife he was holding at me.
“Are you crazy? What if you hit me? ” I asked angrily.
I avoided the knife he threw at me.
“You need to know how to use a knife if you don’t want to die.” He said before they left.
“We shouldn’t go in here anymore. This place is scary. ” I said.
“It’s so cool here.” Kent replied jokingly.
“Do you want to die early because of nervousness?” Alejandra said, while holding back a laugh.
I said, annoyed, “All right, make fun of me. You’ll see it’s wrong for us to get in here. ” I went up to the bedroom.
I peeked out the window because I heard a crack.
“Shit!” I said softly.
I once again saw a student being brutally murdered. Gosh!
I can’t afford to stay here, but I also know that I can’t leave anymore.
The man above the tree caught my attention. He was too far away, so I could not see his face.
“Kill him faster!” He commands.
I closed my eyes because a strong wind touched my face.
I closed the window so I could go to sleep.
“Hailey, I want us to sleep together.” I heard Agatha say that.
“Come in.” I said.
I feel like Agatha hugged me. So I just closed my eyes.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
I opened my eyes because I heard Agatha crying.
“Hey, wake up.” I wake her up.
I noticed that there were tears dripping from her eyes.
“I don’t want to die yet!” She shouted.
I even shook Agatha to wake her up.
“Hailey, they’re going to kill me.” She said tearfully.
“Shh. They won’t kill you. I’m here to protect you. ” I calmed her down.
I will not let any of us get hurt. I need to find a way to protect them.
“Let’s sleep for now.” I said while caressing his back.
“Do not leave me.” She says pleasingly.
“I will not leave you.” I said.
I wonder what will happen to us tomorrow and in the days to come.
I waited for Agatha to fall asleep before I went to sleep.
I woke up because of the noise coming from outside the room.
As I descended, I caught them laughing.
“Good morning.” They greeted me.
“Good morning too.” I said.
“Smells good.” I added.
“Theo is cooking dinner for us.” Ethan said.
“Guys, I’m just going to Headmaster Dracilus.” I told them.
I couldn’t wait for them to speak because I was already out.
I immediately went to see Headmaster Dracilus.
“What do you need?” He asked with a smile.
I watched him first because the color of this room changed.
Even his attire turned all black.
“We want to leave this place.” My introduction.
He smiled because of what I said. I just ignored him and waited for his answer.
“You can’t leave this place anymore.” He says.
“We were able to get in here, so we can get out as well.” I insisted.
“You don’t own us to order us not to leave here.” I continue.
“The day you enter this university, you also have no right to oppose us.” He said rudely.
I said, annoyed, “I will find a way to get out of here. This university needs to be shut down. ”
“Hailey Zoe Devereaux, don’t try to fight us.” He warned me, but I just smiled.
“I will do everything to survive.” The last word I said before coming out.
I went to the dormitory to eat as well.
“What were you talking about?” Alejandra asked.
“I’m hungry.” I’ll talk about it differently.
We started eating, and then we wore our uniforms.
“It’s really cool here.” Kent said.
We were greeted by an old man whose clothes were also black.
“Why are you all in black?” I asked in astonishment.
“Today is the death anniversary of the former headmaster.” He explains.
“Why did he die?” I investigated.
The old man remained silent, so I did not dare ask any more questions.
He took us to the big building. Creepy!
How come this building is also black? What is this horror story about? Damn it!
“Go to your respective classroom now.” The old man said
“Exciting!” Theo said.
I tied my hair up because I was getting hot. Kent’s classroom is different.
Everyone stopped laughing because a man kicked in the door.
He threatens, “Shut your mouths if you don’t want me to cut your tongue.”
“You’re not a prince.” I say it quietly.
“What did you say?” He asked coldly.
“Nevermind.” I said, averting my eyes.
“Nadia, haven’t you noticed?” I asked her.
“Why is the name of this university weird?” I added.
“I think they’re vampires.” She said.
I almost screamed because someone had thrown a human corpse here in the classroom.
Agatha hugged me. The other students were silent.
I would have approached the corpse, but the demon blocked me.
“I have to help him.” I said.
Don’t move the corpse if you don’t want to get in trouble. He says
“So, do you want me to just leave him there?” I asked, annoyed.
“He’s dead, so there’s nothing you can do.” He said emphatically.
“First rule, don’t try to oppose me.” He continued.
I backed away because a man was climbing out the window. He went to the corpse and sucked its blood.
Someone held my arm so tightly that I seemed to soften.
“Go back to your proper seat.” The Demon said, and he looked at me sharply.
“You’re all going crazy. Why are you killing for no reason? ” The Demon’s eyebrows met.
“It’s the death anniversary of the former headmaster. Even if some students die, no one can be charged. ” He explains.
“Did you forget that murder is legal in this place?” He added that I was more annoyed.
“What if I kill you? Is it still legal?” I asked in a challenging voice.
“Kill me if you can, but if you fail, I will kill you.” He said, grinning.
I looked at my arm with a mark because Demon was already holding me tightly. He has no mercy!
