Chapter 315
After Yvette tucked Viola back in bed, she went back to her room to get some rest as well. After she had been asleep for a short while, an arm suddenly hugged her from behind. "Yvvy."
She didn't realize when Xavier had entered her room. He held her tightly with one arm and placed his other hand on her belly.
"What are you doing, Xavier?" Even though he had lost his memories, he still had the same habit of barging into someone else's room!
He hadn't wanted to touch her at first. It wouldn't be wise for him to do so as well since she was in her
first trimester.
However, he thought about how she had met Claude in private and what Mark had said earlier. Then, he kissed the back of her ear.
His warm breath made goosebumps appear on Yvette's body. "Don't you dare, Xavier!"
He whispered next to her ear, and she was stunned again. She instantly understood what he was saying, and her face became bright red like a ripe tomato.
"I don't need it!" After saying that, she immediately covered her mouth. She was worried that Viola might hear them from next door.
The lights were off in the room, and Xavier hadn't been wearing a shirt when he had come over. Under the dim light from outside, Yvette could see his well-defined body.
"Get out... Now..." She was so startled that her voice started trembling.
Xavier stopped what he was doing and whispered next to her ear, "If you want it, you can tell me. Don't look for anyone else."
* "Get out now!" She wrapped her blanket around herself.
When he left, she saw the bruise on his waist from where she had pinched him. It hadn't faded away yet.
At first, she had thought that she could manipulate him when he was blind and having amnesia. However, she had finally realized that she was having a harder time keeping him under control now that he had lost his memories.
Before Xavier had lost his memories, he had been cold and domineering; he would never let anyone control him. However, he had become shameless after losing his memories.
She was worried he might return again, so she purposely locked the door before she slept. She even blocked the door with a cabinet.
Yvette didn't sleep well that night. When she closed her eyes, she would think about what he had said to
her.
When she finally fell asleep, she had a dream. In that dream, she was a boat in the middle of the big ocean, floating aimlessly.
When she woke up, she was covered in sweat. She looked at her phone and noticed it was already 10:00 am. Fortunately, Viola would get up late.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
Just as Yvette was about to get out, she saw a message from Claude. "Are you free this afternoon? Shall we see Noah together? He sent me a message asking me to meet him."
Since he had mentioned Noah, Yvette replied to him without any hesitation. "Sure. I'll see you at the hospital."
Noah was staying at the hospital. Although there were nurses, Yvette would still visit him every day.
After taking a shower and getting dressed, she went downstairs. The breakfast on the dining table was
still warm.
Yvette coldly looked at Xavier, who was reading at the side. "I'm heading out, and I'll be back tonight. Please take good care of Viola."
If Viola weren't there, she would've done what he had done in the past and stayed out.
"Where are you going?" he suddenly asked.
"It's none of your business. You better not follow me this time. Otherwise, please get out of my house." Yvette thought she had been too nice to him last night. She figured that was why he didn't know how to follow someone else's rules at their home.
However, the Lane family didn't want him anymore. Even Shannon had abandoned him.
Yvette had called Shannon once to ask about Jeremiah. However, Shannon had refused to say anything about him.
All she'd said was, "Take good care of Xav and don't let him appear in public. I'll make it worth your while. If you let the world learn about him, then don't blame me for being nasty."
At that moment, Yvette finally realized that Xavier was the same as herself. They weren't their respective mothers' only choice at all.
