Chapter 238
After Daphne was discharged from the hospital in Tirion, she had to prepare for the opening ceremony of her new TV show tomorrow. She sent Xavier several messages, but he did not reply.
Yvonne walked over. "Daph, all the media arrangements for tomorrow are set. I guarantee your new show will be a hit even before it airs."
"Yvonne, thank you," Daphne uttered with a sweet smile.
"No
o need for thanks between us," Yvonne replied before an idea hit her.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"For your opening ceremony, you can invite a few people, right? I invited Yvette for you. Let her see that she can't match up to you now,"
Daphne didn't respond directly but said, "There's no need for that. Her family went bankrupt, and she's divorced. She's already pitiful as is."
"You're too kind. Don't worry. I've got a plan to teach her a lesson and make sure you get your revenge." Yvonne didn't expect Yvette would accept the invitation. Daphne didn't say anything more. Yvonne said, "I'm going to the restroom. Please let my boyfriend know when he's here."
"Sure."
Daphne watched Yvonne leave. When Trevor, the third son of the Lumber family, arrived, she chatted happily with him.
When Yvonne came back, the two of them left. Daphne then received two messages from Xavier.
"I will send someone to congratulate you. Name your price for Snyder Residence."
Snyder Residence?
Daphne immediately called Xavier. "Xav, what do you need Snyder Residence for?"
"Just sell it to me. No need to ask questions," Xavier replied coldly.
Daphne knew that whatever Xavier wanted, he would get it no matter what. Thus, she reluctantly agreed
to it.
When Yvette came back to Dewberry Manor, she accidentally saw a series of messages from Daphne on Xavier's phone.
It seemed like he couldn't wait to respond to Daphne as soon as he got home.
She wondered if he would still be so attentive after he discovered the truth about Daphne and what kind of person she really was.
Yvette quietly informed Noah to be prepared for tomorrow. She also checked with Matthew, who confirmed that the arrangements for the fake identities were in place.
After Xavier finished his call, she approached the study and knocked on the door. "I need to talk to you."
"What is it?"
"It's Noah's birthday tomorrow. I want to see him. Is that okay?" Yvette paused. "If you're worried, you can come with me or have someone watch me."
Xavier had other plans. However, he agreed when he heard her request. "I'll go with you tomorrow."
"Okay." Yvette nodded.
Now, the only thing left was that Zac was still with Tristan. Yvette called Kiki once she got back to her room. "How's it going?"
"That idiot insists that Zac is his son!" Kiki fumed.
Yvette w
stunned. She knew better than anyone who Zachary's real father was.
At Bay Villa, Kiki stomped her foot in frustration. "What should we do now?"
When it came to Tristan, Yvette wasn't sure what approach to take. Should she leave Zachary behind and take Noah? She knew this opportunity was rare, and if they delayed it any longer, she might never be able to take Noah.
"It looks like I'll have to take Noah first. When Tristan realizes Zachary isn't his son, he'll let him go." Yvette decided.
"Okay, I'll try to make him see the truth," Kiki replied.
Kiki had told Tristan that Zachary wasn't his son too many times. She finally changed her approach. Tristan, I've only ever been with one man in my life. And you're not him."
