Trapped pregnant with a Billionaire child

where is your boss?

Marco roughly wiped his face as he sat in the jet headed to Shanghai, China. Unaware of the complexity that awaited him-chaos initiated by Jacob impacting his other businesses. Similarly, Edward faced his own challenges, but Marco’s thoughts halted as Pedro approached.

“Sir,” Pedro spoke, finally capturing Marco’s attention.

“It’s been over two days since Sir left Madam, yet Sir hasn’t contacted her,” Pedro reminded Marco. Marco cursed under his breath, massaging his temples.

“Yeah, I almost forgot to check in with my wife. She must be worried. Hand me my phone,” Marco said, prompting Pedro to nod. After handing over Marco’s phone, Pedro stepped back and took his seat. Marco powered on his intentionally turned-off phone, glancing at over 15 missed calls from their home phone. Frustrated with himself, Marco dialed their residence.

“Hello, where’s Letta?” Marco inquired when Desi answered.

“Madam just entered her room to rest, Sir. Should I connect you to her?” Desi asked, momentarily silencing Marco.

“If she’s resting, no need to wake her. How has she been these past few days? Does she seem anxious?” Marco questioned, making Desi pause.

“Actually, Madam appears restless and worried, especially with Sir being unreachable. She spends prolonged periods alone in her room, although she comes out occasionally. It seems Madam is becoming uneasy with her feelings,” Desi explained, prompting Marco to roughly rub his face.

“Is she eating properly?” Marco asked, feeling guilty about Letta’s condition.

“I’m still trying to persuade Madam to eat on time. She also seems to be thinking about the condition of the baby she’s carrying, making an effort to consume the meals I serve, though not as usual,” Desi replied. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

“If that’s the case, keep her company. Don’t let her be alone, especially if she seems to be pondering something. And if she wakes up, let me know; I’ll call her right away,” Marco instructed.

“Alright, Sir,” Desi responded. After that, Marco ended the call, staring at his phone screen displaying Letta’s face. He clenched his fists, frustrated that solving this issue meant leaving his pregnant wife behind, causing her worry. Eventually, Pedro approached again.

“Sir, there’s a problem,” Pedro said, causing Marco to growl.

“What’s the problem now, Pedro?” Marco asked.

“Our investors in Shanghai rejected our meeting and abruptly canceled it,” Pedro reported, causing Marco to clench his jaw.

“It can’t be canceled just like that. We’ll fly there immediately and meet them wherever they are. I don’t want to play games with someone underestimating me. We have to teach them how to conduct business and ethics with a Marco Jovanka,” Marco declared, making Pedro nod. They continued their journey to fly directly to Shanghai. In his private jet, Marco continued dealing with emails and other matters. Even his sleep was likely reduced to just a few hours a day. Marco felt the exhaustion taking a toll on his body. Despite being a workaholic, facing such a massive problem required him to drain both his body and mind simultaneously.

Soon enough, Marco didn’t wait long. He instructed Pedro to track down the person who dared to abruptly refuse his meeting. Marco waited at the airport hotel while receiving updates from Pedro.

“Sir, we’ve found him. Mr. Chen is in one of the downtown hotels,” Pedro reported, prompting Marco to stand up immediately.

“We’ll go straight there, bring all the documents we prepared earlier,” Marco said, driving a black car followed by four others, slicing through the streets of Shanghai, China, heading to the 5-star hotel. Their arrival immediately drew attention from the people around. Even the hotel owner dared not stop Marco. He walked straight to the upper floor where Mr. Chen was located. Pedro pressed the bell of a penthouse, Mr. Chen’s location, but it seemed Mr. Chen was truly unresponsive to their arrival.

“Pedro, force the door open,” Marco ordered, making Pedro glance at his subordinate, an expert in unlocking high-security doors like Mr. Chen’s penthouse using tools and skills. Eventually, the door could be opened easily with just a press of a button. Marco walked followed by his subordinates into the penthouse, where several servants looked afraid at Marco’s arrival with others dressed in black. Even the guards in the penthouse didn’t budge.

“Where’s your boss?” Marco asked coldly.

“He’s over there, Sir,” a trembling male servant pointed to one of the rooms, which turned out to be a large bathroom. Marco smirked when he saw Mr. Chen bathing, accompanied by two white-skinned women on both sides. Marco took the pistol from one of his accompanying guards, shooting it at the glass wall separating the room. The two women screamed, and Mr. Chen stared at Marco in shock.

“Mr. Jovanka,” Mr. Chen uttered, making Marco aim the pistol at him, causing Mr. Chen to raise both of his hands.

“Wait, I can explain. It wasn’t my will. I was promised much greater profit than what you offered,” Mr. Chen said.

“That’s one thing, and the other is you played with me by canceling our meeting when I was already flying here. Did you think I would come begging and pleading for you to return to my project? That’s not my style. I never beg anyone, especially not to leeches like you. I just want you to pay for what you’ve done,” Marco said, making Mr. Chen glance at the scattered papers thrown carelessly by Marco.

“I have the original copies. If you can’t pay, I can take over the company you currently hold, regardless of your current collaboration with Jacob or anyone else. Haven’t you ever read our initial agreement? But you, in your foolishness, fell for the lure of someone who isn’t even competent in business,” Marco said, making Mr. Chen tremble as he stared at the papers, then widened his eyes.

“Forgive me, I’ll cancel everything. Just never withdraw anything I currently own,” Mr. Chen pleaded, making Marco look at him with a haughty gaze.

“There’s no turning back. I don’t want to collaborate with someone who once stabbed me in the back. Pay everything, and our connection ends. If not, I’ll extend it, and I assure you, you’ll sink all the way down, maybe not just you but your entire extended family. You’ll never be able to do business anywhere you go. Do you think I’ll let it go that easily?” Marco said, making Mr. Chen nod his head.

“Okay, forgive me, forgive me,” Mr. Chen apologized, making Marco turn to the two women who were now looking at him with fearful eyes, before turning around and leaving the chaos he had displayed to Mr. Chen.
