The Rebirth of a Scorned Heiress

Be Careful

As Lily entered her dorm, the voices of her roommates died down, and she could feel their eyes on her, judging her. The three girls sat in a circle, huddled around their phones, whispering and snickering as she walked by. From the look in their eyes, she could tell whatever they were gossiping about had to do with her.

Without paying mind to them, she walked towards her side of the room and began unpacking her things. Lydia snickered with a glint in her eyes as she walked up to Lily with her hands crossed over her chest. “So all you do is pretend to be ignorant and pure? I can’t believe the most righteous low-class student who refused to bow to others is such a dirty slut that seduces her best friend’s brother to climb up the ladder,” she snickered provocatively.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Lily pursed her lips and glared up at her. “You are always sitting around gossiping about other people’s problems, yet you are on the edge of being expelled from the school due to your bad grades. Shouldn’t you focus on what’s important? Or are you jealous that no one finds you attractive enough to want you on their bed?” Lily countered, making Lydia flush in anger as she stepped forward threateningly. “What did you just say?” she challenged.

“You heard me. You have zero intelligence and zero attractiveness, which is why you are always jealous of those who have something going on for them,” Lily repeated while maintaining heated eye contact with her.

“How dare you talk to me like that?” Lydia gritted out with her hands raised, ready to slap Lily in the face, but her hands were held by Lily before they could land a hit. “What are you trying to do? Slap me? I dare you to slap me with those filthy hands of yours!”

Jasmine and Priscilla shared a glance and divided to join in the fight. “You guys should stop,” Jasmine chipped in as he freed Lydia’s hand from Lily’s hold. “We were just concerned about you; she doesn’t have a manner of approach, which is why she sounded offended. Have you seen the news about you and the reason why you had a fight with Merrissa on the school website?” Jasmine asked and showed Lily the news on her phone.

As Lily read the post, a dark chuckle escaped her lips, and she buried her face in her hands. The other girls exchanged a worried glance, sensing that something was very amiss. Their fears were confirmed when Lily lifted her head, and they saw the rage burning in her eyes. “I had planned to deal with her later,” she muttered, “but it seems she’s in a hurry to meet her end. I’ll just have to give her a little energy boost.”

Lydia and the two others felt a chill run down their spines as they took in Lily’s angered expression, and they involuntarily took a step backwards, afraid the flames of her rage would burn them.

Lily hurriedly set her things aside and got cleaned up before settling down to begin her plans to have Merrisa dealt with. She had been so busy getting her company set up and registered for the past two weeks that she barely spent extra minutes on campus before leaving, which made her a little late on multiple news stories.

As she logged into her school account, she noticed she had been tagged several times under the original post about her seducing Merrisa’s brother. She read through the comment and noticed the majority of people were calling her names, and only a few were demanding clarification.

She read through the comments one after the other, and once she was done, she created an anonymous page and tagged posts on the general fashion school site belonging to all the fashion schools in the city.

After this, she boosted the post until it was seen by every major page on the fashion site. She planned to spread the news far and wide and make Merissa happy about ruining Lily’s image before she finally made a comeback.

Soon, the post with just a few hundred views, became one with thousands of views in less than five minutes. Satisfied with her work, Lily closed the school page and continued her work on the website she was building for her store.

Meanwhile, Merrisa, who had seen the post skyrocketing, couldn’t help the grin that spread across her face. She giggled non stop as she brought the phone up to Zach’s face to show him the post. “Look, do you think she will be able to recover from this? So what if she is talented? She can only bow to people like us who are rich and powerful!” she giggled excitedly, with a mocking expression on her face.

Zach, upon seeing the post, felt a bad premonition in his heart, but he couldn’t pinpoint what had brought about the feeling. “Don’t you think ruining her reputation like this is unfair? After all, she didn’t do anything to you to deserve it,” he muttered, getting a glare from the naked Merrisa lying on him.

“What did you mean she did nothing to me?” She demanded angrily as she stood up and picked up the blanket to cover her naked body. “I didn’t want to ruin your image alongside hers, and that is why I used my useless brother as a scapegoat; did she not seduce you? Huh? Or why else would you have agreed to be her model and also date her? Didn’t you say I’m the one you’ve always liked, and you fell for her seduction?” She demanded with a puff of her chest.

Hearing her questions, Zach couldn’t help feeling suffocated. He wanted to tell her that he had not been seduced by Lily and that he had truly appreciated her talent, which was why he never modelled another person’s work in school, but after thinking about the consequences of saying those words, he decided to keep quiet and began getting dressed.

“Now that you have me, you don’t have to go so far to deal with her. Not only do you have me, but you also get a spot on the competition team, and now I’m your exclusive model. What else do you want?” He asked and got a slap from the angry Merrisa.

“What do you mean? What else do I want? I merely got everything that belonged to me back! I need to teach her a lesson for messing with me; once I’m done with her, I will make her family miserable until she comes back here to beg me and grovel at my feet!” she exclaimed into his face.

Zach rubbed his stinging face and glared at her angrily. He picked up his shirt from the floor and walked out. “Whatever you do, be careful, and don’t pull me into your stunt. I’m not getting burned with you. And next time you hit me, I promise you won’t be able to do it again!” he warned and slammed the door behind him.

“Zach! Zach! You asshole, come back here!” She screamed as he stomped her feet angrily, “Zachary! Come back here this moment, or whatever is between us is fucking over!” She threatened at the top of her voice just in time to see the door being opened and a fully dressed Zach walking back in.

She huffed and turned her back towards him, giving him an attitude until he begged her, but her delusions were scattered as he picked up his forgotten phone and slammed the door once again.

“Zach! You fucking asshole! Are you going back to her now?!” She screamed and began throwing things.

However, things only got worse for her as she woke up the following morning to see the tides of the online opinion had drastically changed in Lily’s favour.
