Chapter 2573: Dawn of Water

Chapter 2573: Dawn of Water

Much to the surprise of the patriarch of the Shinken Clan, the Dawnbringer immediately asked to be excused as he headed to a training center in one of their vast training metropolises. Having quickly found himself a silent training spot, he immediately began what he had been most expectantly looking forward to for quite some time now.

"Upgrading Megamind."

He had previously been unable to condition his blood-brain barrier due to how low the error of margin was and how using regular healing potions wouldn't be able to cut it. Because the integrity of the blood-brain barrier was so important, and even the slight mistake of letting blood enter his brain would leave him with brain damage, it could only be safely done with a healing fruit that was constantly in effect for a fixed timeframe.Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

He fell into meditation for a few minutes, collecting his concentration and honing his focus before immediately beginning.

He activated Megamind.

Pressure built up around all the blood vessels in his body, except for the ones that went up to his brain. The internal pressure that he built up on his blood vessels caused them to contract, while the lessened pressure on the blood vessels in his head caused them to expand, supporting the blood redistributed to his brain.

Immediately, the blood-brain barrier came under tremendous pressure, approaching the natural limit of the tissue.

And yet, Rui didn't stop.

He pushed even further, causing severe stress. The stress, in turn, damaged the tissue separating his brain and his blood, causing it to strain.

And immediately, the healing fruit jumped in to heal the damaged tissue.

Yet, that was all it did.

It didn't lessen the pressure acting on it that caused it to be damaged in the first place, nor did it get rid of the strain in the first place. The healed tissue was slightly more adapted to the existing pressure and strain.

Thus, Rui stepped the pressure by an infinitesimal notch, causing even more strain on the delicate tissue, which in turn was immediately healed by tissue that was already adapted to the new condition.

Step by step, Rui very slowly and gradually increased the stress and strain on his blood-brain barrier, causing it to grow more and more firm with each passing step. In principle, this process was very elementary and simple.

Conditioning was one of the most fundamental fields of Martial Art, first discovered by Transcendent Garahar, the Shield of Gaia, based on the principle of adaptive regeneration that the human body operated with. Subjecting a sustained set of stimuli to a given tissue over a period of time would cause the tissue to change and regenerate in a manner that was most suitably adapted to that set of stimuli.

While the principle was exceedingly simple, what wasn't simple was the execution. Rui needed to ensure that the damage was minimalistic so as to ensure that no blood leaked by the blood-brain barrier before it was healed by the fruit.

It was also easier to control the end outcome of how his tissue regenerated by taking a gradual and careful approach to strengthening the tissue that separated his brain and blood.

Each step was just barely an improvement from the last, yet over the span of many steps, the end destination would be much higher than the previous goal.

And thus began what was one of the shortest training regimes that Rui had ever undergone in his entire life. The healing fruits shortened what would have otherwise been an excessively long process had he had to do it the natural way of waiting for it to recover in its own time.

A process that might have taken days only took seconds.

The rest of the Sekigahara Confederate was rather puzzled by the Dawnbringer's actions, isolating himself within his training chamber after consuming the first fruit.

A day later, he came to consume the second fruit before secluding himself in his training yet again.

It was truly bizarre behavior to the Sekigaharans.

They had welcomed him as a guest in hopes that he would help them. Instead, he treated it as his own home and even began indulging in personal endeavors while he was supposed to fulfill the commitments that he had undertaken.

Unfortunately for them, they may as well have not existed in Rui's mind.

Once he got absorbed into a project, there was nothing that anybody could possibly do to draw his attention away from whatever had absorbed it.

And thus a month passed.

The clan leaders waited with a hint of patience as the Dawnbringer consumed a large portion

of the annual supply of healing fruits to the Kandrian Empire for himself!

They were not ready for what came next.

Nothing could have prepared them for what came next.

Not even in their wildest dreams could they have ever imagined what came next.

RUMBLE!!!

The world shook.

It shook violently.

Heaven and earth quivered as a singularity of thought emerged from the depths of his chamber that housed the Dawnbringer.

When he opened his eyes, two blindingly bright red dwarf stars shined in the place of his

pupils.

BADUMP!

His Realms of power blazed into life, brimming with power as his Martial Embodiment emerged from the depths of his very being. A tsunami of Water greater than anything the world had ever seen before bloomed from the root of his existence.

It spread.

The Water spread.

It spread far beyond any Embodiment that had ever spread ever before.

It spread across the entire chamber.

It spread across the entire Martial training metropolis.

It spread across the entire country.

It spread even beyond.

RUMBLE!!!

One moment, the Sekigahara Confederate was just as it was.

The very next?

A tsunami of Water consumed the entirety of the nation.

"AAAHHHRR!!!"

"WHAT IS THAT?!"

"HELP! HEEELLLPPPP!!!"

Pure horror erupted in the depths of the hearts of every conscious being in the Sekigahara

Confederate as they witnessed a titanic tide of Water subsume all of heaven and earth. The enormous emerged from his training chamber, sweeping across the entire nation and all its

citizens.

It consumed everything.

It consumed the entire world.

It consumed the beast tides that ravaged the defensive perimeter of the Sekigahara

Confederate.

Every sentient being in the Sekigahara Confederate and beyond was consumed by the endless

power of Water.

The entire world was rendered helpless before the limitless power of Adaptive Evolution.

It was the dawn of Water.

RUMBLE!!!
