I slowly regained consciousness, the world around me blurred before coming into focus. I blinked, feeling the rough texture

"What the hell?" I thought, panic rising in my chest. What the fuck was going on?!
I looked around, taking in my surroundings. The room was dimly lit, all sort of stuff creating shadows that seemed to creep around the corners. "This isn't good," I muttered to myself, trying to assess my situation. Then, my heart skipped a beat when I spotted someone standing a few feet away. It was Ethan. "Of course," I said sarcastically, trying to mask my surprise. "Just when I thought I'd seen the last of you." Ethan smirked, looking unfazed by my words. "Nice to see you too, Katrina," he teased, crossing his arms. "Can't say I didn't expect you to wake up sooner or later."
"You know, I've killed you before," I shot back, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "And Silas has too. Third time's a charm, right?"
Ethan chuckled, his amusement obviousl in his eyes. "You underestimate me, Katrina. I'm way more resourceful than you realize."
I raised an eyebrow, trying to gauge his intentions. "Resourceful Is that what you call it when you keep coming back like a bad penny?"
"Oh, you have no idea," he replied, his tone shifting to a more serious one. "My little doppelgangers are just the tip of the iceberg."
"What are you talking about?" I asked, trying to keep my cool. "Why am I here?"
Ethan moved a little closer, leaning in with a mocking grin. "I have big plans for you. You see, I'm going to use you to lure Silas into a trap."
My stomach dropped. "You wouldn't dare!" I protested, trying to twist around to see how tightly I was bound. I needed to get the fuck out of here before this bastard tried something crazy. "He'd never fall for your games." "Oh, but he will," Ethan said confidently. "You're his greatest weakness, Katrina. The perfect bait. He is so all over you. One little push and he'd go tumbling over."
"Really? You think I'm just going to sit here and let you use me?" I snapped. "You must be joking besides, he is not like that. I won't be used to get to him."Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.
"I'm not joking. You're already here, aren't you?" he said, his smirk widening. "Silas cares about you, and I plan to use that to my advantage as much as possible.." "Exploit? You're sick!" I exclaimed. "Silas will see through your tricks."
"Actually, he won't," Ethan replied, his voice low. "I have moles close to him, working to ensure things go my way."
"Moles?" I repeated. If this bastard was serious, then it was not going to be easy. "You can't be serious!"
"Oh, I am," he said, casually waving his hand as if it were no big deal. "They feed me information. I've been one step ahead of Silas for a while." "Who? Who would betray him?" I pressed, finding it hard to believe anyone would turn against Silas.

"Information is powerful, Katrina," Ethan replied, pacing slightly. "You'd be surprised at how many are willing to side with the highest bidder."
A chill ran down my spine. "You're saying Phillip is involved?" I asked, feeling my heart race.
Ethan chuckled again, his voice dripping with sass. "Who knows Maybe. Or it could be someone else entirely. All you to know is that I have support. My plans are in motion." need
"This is insane," I said, searching for any way out of this situation. "You think you're untouchable, but you're making a mistake."
"Am I?" he asked, stepping closer. "This is the perfect setup for me. With you as leverage, I can draw Silas in. He'll have to play my game."
"Stop talking like you've already won!" I shouted, frustration boiling over. "You think you can take everything from us?"
"I'm just giving you a chance to claim your role in this little drama," he taunted, leaning back slightly. "Don't you want to ensure Silas sees just how powerful I am?"
"I don't want anything to do with your plans!" I shot back, trying to sound firm even with the knots in my stomach.
"Oh, but you're already involved," Ethan said, his tone shifting slightly. "Whether you like it or not."
I felt the anger bubble inside me, and I steeled myself. "I won't let you use me," I said defiantly. "I'll find a way to escape." "Escape? You're tied up, Katrina," he said, chuckling softly. "You won't make it far."
"Maybe not now," I admitted, my mind racing. "But I will find a way to break free from this. You underestimate me way too much."
"Your stubbornness won't help you here," Ethan replied, smirking. "You'd need a strategy and frankly, a miracle but those don't exist."
"I make my own things happen," I said, narrowing my eyes at him. "And I won't let you win this time."
Ethan stepped back, crossing his arms again. "Well, we'll see, won't we? I rather enjoy these little games." "Enough with the games!" I snapped, my voice stronger than I felt. "I won't sit here and be your pawn for you to trap Silas." "Then what are you going to do?" Ethan challenged, pressing me further. "You're in no position to make demands."
"Fuck off Ethan. You're too much of a coward to face Silas all on your own. If you me, trying to use me to get to a man you can barely reach."
Ethan's face ticked in anger and I knew I had hit a nerve.

"What's with the face? I'm not wrong am I? As bright as you paint yourself to be, you actually have to resort to lowly blackmail and little tricks to get to Silas."
"Shut the fuck up you bitch!" He roared, his rage all over him as he marched towards me.
Fuck, was this bastard going to hit me?!
