The Last Ceo’s Deal

Chapter 32: I want to be in that hell

CHAPTER 32.

The party was a blast!

Everything screams wealth and class and I saw powerful men. Yeah! Powerful men in the finance world.

I was acting an ugly role of smiling to everyone that came over to congratulate us. Fanuel was oh so loving as he kept looking at me lovingly and having his as wrapped around my waist.

Everything was going on perfectly until this pretty girl approached me. I was all alone sitting and looking at the fake scenario before me.

“Fanuel really has a bad taste in ladies…ugh!”

“Excuse me?”

“Don’t get too flattered dear, you’re like another piece of trash for his rescue mission”

Now I felt my anger rising up.

“Who the fuck are you, Angel Gabrielle?”

She smiled at me and twirls at me.

“I’m Mirabel dummy, Fanuel’s girl.”

I felt this irritating rush of jealousy flowing through my skin.

She was so beautiful and classy and not even a match for me.

I swallowed and stared.

“Wonder what he sees in you, what did you do to him in bed? He must have lost his senses”

“Mirabel, the least you can do is enjoy the party, My Fiance’s engagement party.. stop being a nuisance.” I tell her with a feeling of fulfillment.

Yeah! I’m the boss here and if she was truly Fanuel’s girl as she claimed, she should be in my shoes right now.

I felt someone wrapped his arms around waist and I knew it was him.

“Nice to have you around Mirabel.” He said and she sneered.

“Can’t believe you Fanuel, why her? I thought you were going to eventually come around…I’m still yours baby.” Fanuel scoffed.

“I’m engaged Mirabel, get that into your head and enjoy the party.” He dragged me away from her and I rolled my eyes.

“Who’s she?” I curiously asked.

“None of your business.”

“Thanks.”This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

“She’s my ex, the president’s daughter.”

I gasped in horror.

“Why did you leave her?”

“I’m not going to have this conversation with you”

I clicked my tongue and I sighted mum and Easton’s coming over.

Fanuel cursed under his breath the moment he saw my brother, he kissed me by the cheek and I froze. That wasn’t necessary!

He’s doing that to spite my brother.

“What a very disgusting acting role you two displayed, you should win Oscar awards.” Easton said not to break eye contact with him.

Jayden and Edward walked over to us.

“I would do that, I’m cute already.. any role would fit me ”

“We would see that If anything happens to my sister you douchebag.”

“Be nice Easton!” Mum hissed

“Nice to see you Mrs Webb.” Fanuel smiled and extended his hands to Mum who rejected his handshake.

“It’s Mrs Gracia.”

“Accept my apologies.” He bowed which I assumed to be sarcastic.

“I don’t like you a bit Fanuel, but I will hate you the more if anything happens to my daughter.” Mum said without mincing words.

“I’m hurt Mrs Gracia, I wish I could do anything for you to like me but this is the world we live in, we are forced to do certain things that don’t sit well with others.”

“Now let me tell you this, You will never, ever be my son in-law. You don’t deserve my blessings cause I know all these is a facàde for the public, Webb would be found by all means and my daughter would return back to me….. enjoy these while it last Mr Fanuel”

“Thanks Mrs Gracia, Don’t worry about your daughter…I will take care of her.”

Easton hugs me and mum gives me a peck and words of assurance. I went so emotional as I saw how much these people loves me. I begged them to attend the wedding no matter the grudges and they accepted. At Least let me be happy on my wedding day.

“Please get married to Fanuel over again after this.” Laurel whines and sighed in satisfaction.

“You’re crazy”

“No I’m not! I can’t remember the day in my life I entered a white limousine and had an exquisite lunch in it, still on my way to pick my clothes at the most classiest fashion house!!

Please marry him again and let me be your bridesmaids.”

“I hate Fanuel, I wish it was Justin Bieber.. then I would be the one to propose to him.”

“You’re high Christine.” Laurel chuckled and I looked at Diana who was mute all this while.

“Don’t look at me like that, I’m imagining how hot I will look in those dresses as your bridesmaid.” I shook my head unbelievably.

“What’s wrong with you two? My life is about to become a living hell and you both are here giggling.”

“I want to be in that hell, can you share please.” Laurel pleaded and plopped down to the head rest of the car, I’m not ready to have a conversation with these crazy two.

A massive white building stood before us, Fanuel’s mansion!

I still can’t get over this beauty.

The designer is a tall red haired girl with legs stretching to infinity. She is so pretty it makes my teeth ache.

Did Fanuel have to choose her?

I know I’m being delusional again and totally out of character but I dislike her the moment I set my eyes on her. It’s disheartening to imagine that she actually works for him. My jealousy knows no bounds but I’m entitled because I’m about to get married to him, right?

She wears a huge plastic smile which doesn’t reach her eyes when we walk into the spacious room.

“You are Christine no doubt.” She says while shaking my hand.

“Yeah that’s me.” I reply without emotion.

“I’m Sherry.”

Really? What kind of name is that for a grown up? I watch as she shakes Laurel’s hand.

“Fanuel said you’ll be accompanied by two bridesmaids.”

“Diana is on her way here, she went to the restroom” I replied before sitting on the bed.

Sherry turns to me.

“I’ll start with you while we wait for her.” She told Laurel.

“What exactly are you going to do? The wedding is tomorrow.”

“I’ll just take your measurements. We already have the dress but we need to customize it a little bit.”

She nodded.

I stalk out of the room as she starts on Diana. I missed breakfast and I’m ravenously hungry. I follow the somehow familiar route to the kitchen and open the fridge, trying hard to ignore the fact that the kitchen is bigger than my bedroom back at my apartment.

I’m impressed but again it’s kind of too much. I hate getting overwhelmed by stuff.

I retrieve lasagna from the fridge and I place it in the microwave. I take a deep breath, blocking my head from thinking. I don’t want to imagine the fact that this place will be my home from tomorrow.

It looks so huge and lonely. I don’t want to die in solitude.

A ping from the microwave snaps me from my short reverie and I sit down to dig into my meal. I walk to the upstairs bedroom where I slept both times I was here and lie down on the bed.

I’m so exhausted after sleeping way late last night and waking up early.

When I open my eyes, the room is bright from the subtle golden light emitted from the chandeliers. I stretch and sit-up before I realize that I’m not in my apartment.

I start to panic and I climb quickly out of bed. The duvet falls to the floor.

Duvet? I didn’t cover myself before I drifted to sleep.

I scan the room, and Fanuel is seated at the small desk placed beside the window, his amused expression fixated on me.
