Chapter 372
Chapter 372
Listening to Hector's words, Magnus was seething with rage. He grabbed Hector by the collar, and his RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
fist was cocked back, ready to deliver another blow. His fist sliced through the air, bringing a chill wind
towards Hector's face, but Hector caught it with ease.
He stared at Magnus with icy disdain. "Is fighting all you know? Grow up, Magnus. Love isn't something
you own; it's not a toy, and it's definitely not something you can claim with brute force!"
Magnus felt like he was staring at a stranger. Never had he imagined that he and his cousin would
come to blows, with the latter looking back at him with such detachment.
He had wanted to pummel Hector, but to what end?
Would beating Hector change the situation they were in?
Would it heal the yearning he had suffered?
Would it make his wife come back to him immediately?
No, it wouldn't. At that moment, the force seemed so pale and laughable.
Magnus let out a bitter chuckle. "Ha, Hector, long time no see, and you've gotten pretty tough. Cut the
crap. Where's my wife?"
"I'm sorry, Mr. Andersen, but this is a fashion company, not a lost and found," Hector replied coolly.
"Cut the act, Hector! I saw you whisk Natalia away at the fashion show!" James stormed in, pointing an
accusing finger at Hector. "Bro's wife is off-limits, man! And you call yourself family? You kidnapped
Natalia! Dressing all sharp doesn't hide your dirty tricks. Disgusting!"
Their argument quickly drew the attention of the NH International staff, who began whispering and
gossiping among themselves.
Facing James' accusation, Hector stood his ground with indignation. "If it weren't for his interference,
Natalia and I would've been long gone and not here dealing with his accusations! Ask him how he's
wronged Natalia over the years!"
"Wronged? You're the homewrecker here, you unethical interloper!" James moved to push Hector
aside, saying, "Out of the way! We're going upstairs to find Natalia. Jonas is waiting for her at home."
Hector stood immovable. His contempt for James was clear. "James, could you maybe show a little
class? This is my company, not some rowdy farmers' market. You want to find someone, be my guest,
but make sure she wants to see you. Otherwise, you're no different from a street thug."
"You! Fine, Hector, you win! You break up a marriage and still play the saint?" James was furious and
tried to kick Hector, but Magnus stopped him mid-motion.
Magnus turned to James, his voice cold and terse. "Let's go."
"But Natalia is still up there, Magnus. Just let me knock this homewrecker down, and then..."
Before James could finish, Magnus had already turned away, striding towards the exit without looking
back. James' words were caught in his throat as he hurried after Magnus. "Magnus, you're not going
after Natalia? She's still up there! We have to bring her back!"
Magnus walked on, his pace quick as if chased by demons. If Natalia wanted to see him, she would've
shown up.
Hector's words echoed in his ears. Yes, for years, hadn't he been the one harming her?
Six years ago, his neglect had driven her to despair and a watery grave. Six years later, to save his
poisoned, dying self, he had caused her to wander in a foreign land, lost and alone.
Perhaps a man like him really didn't deserve her, but without her, how could he endure the lonely years
ahead?
He'd give up everything if he could start over just to be with her, but there was no medicine for regret
and no second chances.
“My dear wife, is our fate truly at an end? Can't you give me one more chance?”
Magnus walked the noisy streets, his heart as still as ice and as cold as bone. He didn't know how to
face the radiant Natalia, nor how to win her back. His thoughts were a tangled mess. His brow was
furrowed as he wandered aimlessly along the roadside, without a destination or direction.
James followed silently, knowing Magnus was in a bad place. Back at NH International, he had seen
the embarrassment flash through Magnus' eyes under Hector's rebuke. Sighing to himself, James felt it
was not his place to judge their matters. He only needed to ensure that nothing happened to Mr.
Magnus.
And so, the two sharply dressed strangers walked the streets of Hawaii. Their silhouettes were lonely
and forlorn, drawing curious glances from passersby.
Was he to give up so easily? To return to Melfort all alone? No! No way!
Even if it cost him his very life, he was determined to bring his wife back by his side!
James, who had been trudging along with his head down, was caught off guard by Magnus' abrupt stop
and nearly bumped into him.
Noticing the resolve in Magnus' eyes, James nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we haven't even spoken to
Natalia yet. Why are we throwing in the towel so soon?"
"Let's go! I have to find my wife this instant. I can't wait another minute!" Magnus declared, turning back
around and striding forward.
James called out from behind, "Mr. Magnus, Natalia's place is in the other direction. You're going the
wrong way!"
Realizing his mistake, Magnus turned back and followed James to the address he had previously
inquired about.
