The Contracted Ever After (Cordelia and Ronan)

Chapter 435

Chapter 435

Originally, Sienna just wanted to catch Harold. Before Harold went to the gym for a scrimmage, he

grabbed a bite in the cafeteria so he wouldn't run out of energy during the match. Unexpectedly, Sienna

not only ran into Harold but also bumped into Cordelia.

"Yes."

"Finding a partner after a PhD is no easy task. It was tough back in the day, and now it's even tougher.

You need to hurry up," Sienna advised sincerely, assuming an elder's tone.

Harold found these words to be music to his ears. He claimed that Cordelia didn't have a partner yet,

even though she had mentioned having a child.

Cordelia was confused. Wasn't Sienna supposed to sabotage her relationship? She should have

mentioned Cordelia's previous marriage and child.

Just then, Harold stood behind Cordelia.

"Who's this?" Sienna spotted Harold, pretending not to know him.

"My..." Cordelia was about to say, "My student."

But before she could finish her sentence, Harold cut in, "Boyfriend."

Cordelia frowned slightly and glanced at Harold but said nothing.

Sienna immediately brightened. "I didn't see that coming. A match made in heaven, indeed. I thought

you'd never find a partner, Cordelia. Well, that's great. But young man, you better hold onto Cordelia

tight, or else, she might slip away. Cordelia, good to see you. Samantha is filming, and I must go.”

Sienna patted Cordelia’s hand and left.

“What was that about...?” Cordelia smoothly freed herself from Harold’s embrace, unsure whether to

thank him or slap him.

“Who was that?”

“My aunt. It’s a long story.” With that, Cordelia walked away briskly. It seemed like she needed to clarify

her situation to Harold soon, or he might get carried away.

She kept wondering why Sienna said those things. It certainly wasn’t spontaneous.

Cordelia and Harold made their way to the gym, one behind the other.

Cordelia met Sally outside the gym. Sally had bought her a cup of smoothie, and they both entered just

as the basketball game was about to start.

As soon as she went in to find a seat, Callum spotted her. He and Ronan were sitting in the back row.

“Dad, it’s her, look!” Callum pointed at Cordelia.

Ronan had already seen her. He wondered, “Why did she come to Birchwood College? To watch the

basketball game?”

But Cordelia was seated in the front row and didn’t notice the people behind her.

Harold, on the basketball court, glanced in her direction and saw Cordelia. He didn’t expect her to

come and watch his game. Inspired by Sienna’s words, Harold thought, “If I win the game, I’ll confess

my feelings to Cordelia.”

At that moment, he was practicing with great fervor, running around the court shirtless.

Despite the intense basketball game, Cordelia wasn’t affected. She was preoccupied with one thought,

“Did Samantha come to the school on Alana’s behalf?” Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

Despite the noise around her, she didn’t pay attention.

Another person in the gym whose mind was not on the game was Ronan. Occasionally, his gaze would

rest on Cordelia. She was staring ahead, not as excited as the girl next to her. She seemed to have

something on her mind.

Ronan would occasionally glance at the court and see Harold’s eyes dart to the audience, whistling.

Indeed, Harold had a certain charm on the basketball court.

The heated basketball game officially ended at 7 o’clock.

Birchwood College won. The players were all excitedly hugging each other.

At that moment, Harold knelt on one knee in Cordelia’s direction and put his hand on his chest as if

making a promise.
