"...Seriously, don't you think this is exhausting for me?"
Miles paused, his thin lips frozen. He never had the upper hand in verbal spats with her.
"Felicity, you once said I was the only one you ever liked."
"I did say that, but people change as they grow up!" she retorted as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Do you still think and feel the same way you did when you were a teenager? Don't forget, back when I first liked you, you still saw me as nothing more than a little sister! And look, you changed your tune eventually, didn't you?"
Miles was taken aback. "You... you were just a kid when you liked me! Not even out of high school. How could I have possibly entertained any inappropriate thoughts about you then?"
