Chapter 15
STEVEN
I couldn’t control my anger. I wanted to ask her but when I saw her pale and crying earlier, I was taken aback. I can’t even find the right words to say, dammit!
Only to find out that she has a child. She has a child and-I-I fvcking don’t know what to do. It hurts because I feel like she lied. She has a lot for secrets hiding from me. I felt betrayed.
I wanted to know everything but I couldn’t force her if she’s not ready to tell everything to me.
Fvck this! I didn’t even know if she had a boyfriend or not.
My plan is to take her away from her boyfriend if she has one, but the part about her having a child, I-I don’t know what to think anymore. I’m hella confused.
Who is the father of the child? Is it her boyfriend? Or her ex?
Why didn’t she tell me everything about her son? F*ck. Is it hard for her to tell me everything? Am I not important to her? Is she just playing with me? This is so gay but damn, it hurts so much.
“What’s the matter bro?” Diego arrived with Akhael. They are my friends.
“Woman? Amanda?” Akhael asked.
“Amanda and I were done!” Amanda! Amanda! Amanda! She’s not my girlfriend anymore. It’s been years since we broke up.
I tried to talk to my mom about Amanda living in my house. For the sake of our family name, she said it was necessary to hide my involvement to the scandal she probably cause to public.NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
Like I fvcking care? Even if she tells the world that I’m the father, I still won’t accept her baby because I’m not really the father.
She’s just my ex and a former friend. If I hadn’t been taught good manners, maybe I would have done something bad when she messed with me.

THIRD POV
“Then who?” Diego looked surprised because he’s not used to seeing Steven be like that. Among all his friends, Steven was the most calm and rational.
“New?” Akhael asked Diego without a voice. They are not aware that their friend has a new girl. Steven didn’t tell them about Ria, his maid.
Diego just shrugged his shoulders because even he was clueless about what happened.
“There’s a woman that I like. No! Scratch that. There’s a woman that I love. Yes. I love her… But recently I just found out that she’s faking the information about her…” Steven paused. “That part, it feels like she’s fooling me around but it’s okay-” he stopped for a moment and laughed sarcastically.
While Diego and Akhael are patiently waiting for what he would say next. They are really confused because Steven wasn’t like that.
“What happened next?”
“She has a child. I thought she only had a boyfriend,” Steven added as he poured the wine from the glass. “She fooled me. Fcvk! She has a child already so what are we?” His voice was full of bitterness.
“Wait! You know she’s in a relationship with someone else?” Diego asked cause he’s completely lost to Steven’s words.
“Yes,” Steven replied to his friend.
“And still, you still want to own her?”
“Yes,” he answered his friends without hesitation.
Akhael and Diego looked at each other in shock.
“So why?” Akhael asked confused.
“I’m planning to take her away from her boyfriend. But fvck! How can I steal her if she’s already a mother to someone’s kid?” Steven’s voice cracked and his eyes are about to cry.
“Who is this woman you are talking about?” Akhael asked curiously. Never in his life could he imagine that his friend would be like this.
“The most beautiful woman on Earth, her name is Ria.” Steven replied drunkenly. “Even her name sounds beautiful, right?” He smiled at his friends.
“He’s in deep trouble.” Diego said to himself.
‘Ria? Her name is Ria? Hmm.. They have the same name of Rialyn.” Akhael said in his mind. He knew Rialyn because she’s his wife’s best friend but Akhael didn’t know that the Ria he knew and the Ria that Steven meant were the same.
“So you’re drinking because she has a boyfriend and she has a child?” Diego asked. Among their friends, Diego was the counselor, so Steven and the rest always approached him in times of trouble.
“I feel like, she’s cheating on me. I don’t know anymore.”
“Will you accept her even if she has a child?” Diego asked and Steven stopped for a moment.

STEVEN
If I know from the very start that she has a child, will that change the way I think about her?
Yes. Cause she’s perfect.
“Yes. I will accept her. She’s pretty, man. She’s a good cook, kind and…” I remembered Ria’s smiling face in my mind. “So pretty.”
“You’re smiling man, you look like a fool.” Diego said in amazement.
Really?
I couldn’t help it.
My baby is pretty. Even though I drank a lot of alcohol, I could still think straight. I know what I’m doing.
“Steven!” We looked at my sister who was walking to our direction. I stood up and stepped forward to give her a hug but I was surprised to see the anger on her face. What did I do?
“What kind of person are you?” What does she mean? Did I do something wrong?
“Why? Is there something wrong?” I asked her confused.
“Wrong? Steven… Really? You just brought Ria to their house and then you’re here to drink?” Her voice was full of sarcasm. I was confused about her point. Since when did she and Ria become close? And why is she so angry?
“Hannah, easy. What’s the problem?” Akhael
“Han, what’s the problem? I don’t know what makes you angry. What’s wrong with me taking Ria to their house?” I asked.
“What’s wrong? Well… It’s the fact that you’re here to drink while there’s a life out there that’s in critical condition.”
I really have no idea what she’s talking about. Who is she referring to?
“Who are you talking about?”
“You know what brother, you should mature. Argh! I just waste my time here.” She said and left.
I looked at Diego and Akhael. Oh-kay, what was that? Why was my sister so angry?
“Did you do something?” Diego asked.
“No. I have no idea why she’s so angry. What did I do?” I’m running out of patience. I knew my sister very well. She wouldn’t getting angry for no reason.
“I think the reason why Hannah was so angry, because you are not doing anything.” Diego said. And so? Should I do something?
“I don’t get it at all!”
“Hannah was angry because her good brother is here while someone is in critical condition in the hospital.” Diego explained. Here is he again, trying to be a detective.
“Whose life?” I asked confused.
“Whose life, man? Do you have a family member who is in the hospital and critical?” Diego asked.
I shook my head. There’s none. Besides, mom will tell me if there have.
“So what’s the connection with this Ria? I think that’s one of the reason that made Hannah angry.”
“Is there someone that related to Ria that rushed in the hospital?” Diego asked. I suddenly remembered Ria’s face earlier, begging her to go home for her son.
Did something bad happen to her son?
Do Ria need me there? Should I go there? B-But maybe the father of her child was there too. Fvck! I can’t go there if she’s with the father of her son.
“Hon,” I looked at the newcomer. If I’m not mistaken she’s Agatha. Akhael’s wife.
“Hello hon. Where’s our daughter?” I heard Akhael ask his wife. Among all of us, Akhael was the first one who got married. And because I didn’t go to their wedding, it was my first time to see her wife.
“She’s with Angie. By the way, who are they?”
“Oh yes. By the way, they are my friends. My friends who didn’t make it to our wedding.” Akhael said with a sneer in his tone.
I just shook my head. I was really busy that time so I was not able to attend but I made sure that I send them my gift.
“Hi. I’m Agatha. Akhael’s wife.” She said while extending her hand but Kael just took her hand and hid it.
“No need for that honey.”
Tss.. why is he so very possessive?
“Hi. Diego Reis,” Diego said.
“Oh. You’re my husband’s friend. Divine’s ex, right?” The woman said with a smile. Diego was stunned and his smile disappeared.
“I’m one of her best friends. She told me about you so I know you a little.”
“It’s okay. And I’m not informed that we’re no longer together. Last thing I know, I didn’t agree to the break-up.” Agatha was obviously surprised and apologized.
“And you are?” She turned and asked me.
“Steven. Steven Marcus Alvante.”
“YOU’RE WHAT?” She seemed surprised after I said my name. Why? Is there something wrong?
“Hey hon. Is there a problem?” Kael asked his wife.
“No hon,” Agatha smiled and looked at me again.
“Nice to meet you S-Steven… Ahm, hon… I need to go now. I have somewhere else to go,” she said. Obviously a bit nervous.
“Are you going to the hospital?” Kael asked.
I watched them and I saw in Agatha’s eyes that she’s nervous. She’s so weird. She’s smiling when she arrived earlier but right now-I shook my head and averted my eyes away from them.
“Hey hon,” it was Kael so I looked at his wife again. She’s pale.
“Hey, are you okay?”
“Yes,” she answered.
“I’m coming with you. You’re not okay, hon. You looked pale,” Kael said.
“No, hon. I’m really fine. Don’t worry about me,” she said.
“Let’s go. I’m coming with you. Where are you going by the way? Hospital?”
“Yes. I want to visit, Hivo.”
Hivo? Who’s Hivo?
“Is he okay?” Kael asked worriedly. Maybe this Hivo is important for them. As far as I know, Akhael’s child is a girl.
“The doctor’s findings was dengue. It’s a good thing we brought him to the hospital right away.”
“How is Ria?” Kael asked.
I frowned when I heard the name Ria.
The name Ria is so common so it’s not a surprise that there are lots of Ria in the world.
“She’s not okay. I hope Hivo will be fine.”
Hivo. I don’t know but I like the name Hivo. It’s kinda unique.
Kael and his wife are concerned about him. Maybe he’s their relatives.
