For weeks, we have been holed up in the house. Everyday someone comes calling but I ignore the door. The only time I open it is for the grocery delivery. I spiralled into depression but would only break when Rebel was asleep at night. I would sob in the shower, not

wanting her to hear me.

Every day, we play different games and watch a shit tonne of Disney movies. We both sing and laugh until the night seeps in and I break down again in a vicious cycle of pain and anger. The feeling of being useless, weak, how they laughed at my futile attempt to get away from them.

I know the ladies of the MC have been knocking because I check the camera on the front door. I know Savage watches the house of a night and he has one of his men watching during the day. I don't acknowledge any of them.

I was still healing mentally, physically, and emotionally. But I woke up this morning and had enough of this wallowing. Today we are in the back garden and it's a nice sunny morning, so we are in the pool. Rebel is in a life jacket and on a huge unicorn floaty. Boomer is swimming as well.

Rebel is laughing her little head off as I pull her around the shallow part of the pool in her floaty. When an image enters my head and I stop seeing it clearly. The tattoo. How did I forget that damn tattoo?

"Mommy, Ariel." My thoughts are pulled back as I smile at her and I pick her up in my arms and swim with her not too deep. She giggles as I swim like a mermaid with her. She claps and giggles as I splash her and she splashes me.

"Ok, missy, come on time to get out and have a nap." I say to her, and she groans and yawns. I chuckle. We have been in here all morning and I could use a rest. I'm still healing and can move more freely, but I get out of breath easily.

Once I have her dried and in her pyjamas. She has her lunch and I take her to her room for a nap. She is out like a light.

I head towards my room and search for paper and pencils. The tattoo is still in my head. If I can sketch it, then maybe someone will know what it means and where it was done.

I sit on my bed, crossing my legs and get to work. Sketching and colouring as I watch as the image comes to life against the white paper. After what seems like hours, I look at it, picking it up and I nod at it.

It is exactly how I saw it. The white cobra with black eyes with its mouth open and fangs dripping green venom wrapped around a skull with red flowers in the eye sockets, dripping blood down the cheekbones and jaw. I shudder as I look at it. I will find you. I even have the shading down to a tee.

I grab my phone and the picture taking a picture of it; I send it to my uncle Gianni. A crackle comes through the baby monitor. I know she is starting to wake.

Uncle G: Baby girl, what is this? Are you ok? Xx.

Me: That is a tattoo that was on one of the men. I'm ok, can you come here please and don't tell my parents? I need your help in finding them. xx

Uncle G: Leave it with me, baby girl. I'll be there tomorrow. Take care of yourself. Love you sweetheart xx.

Me: Love you too, see you when you get here xx

I move to Rebels room and pick her up and chuckle at her. Her dark blonde hair looks like she has been electrocuted as she rubs her eyes from her nap. I look at my phone again seeing she slept for two hours.

"Hey baby. Did you sleep well?" I ask her, kissing her head as I walk down the stairs with her on my hip. I started potty training her, and she is doing great. She only wears pull-ups of a night, just in case. So far, no accidents and she is staying dry during the night.

"Mommy, potty." I smile at her as I

set her down, and she runs to the downstairs bathroom and I follow her and help her with her pyjama pants and the pull-up. I sit her on her special seat and wait by the door for her to do her business. She sings the pee-pee song and I chuckle at her. When she has done what she needed to do. I help wash her hands and when she is done, she walks past me. She is growing so fast. I chuckle at her, shaking my head.

The rest of the day goes by with films, snacks, and the thought of the tattoo. We head to bed having had a fun day in the house and garden.

Waking in the morning, I do our routine and while I'm doing her hair, the doorbell rings. I look at my phone and see my uncle standing looking at the camera. It's then that I see uncle Marco behind him. I pick Rebel up and walk to the door and open it to let them in. "Come here, baby girl." I sob as I walk to him. He is the first man I have hugged or let touch me since what happened to me.

"Shhh, it's ok. We will find them, I promise you that." he kisses my head as he pulls away from me and looks at my daughter in my arms.

"You must be Rebel. I'm your uncle Gianni and he is your uncle Marco. Can I get a hug, little one?" he asks, removing his sunglasses. And she nods her head and I hand her to him and he hugs her tight as Marco hugs me.

"We've got you. You know this," he whispers to me and I nod my head, wiping the tears away.

"Where is Vinnie?" I ask, and he looks down at me.

"He and Emma are still in the area. I told him to give you some space, but he is checking in with me daily. He would like to see you and so would Emma. They are both blaming themselves for what happened." I shake my head. It wasn't either of their faults.

"It's not their fault. I told him to take the day off to prepare for her arrival. This isn't on them, it's on Savage and the MC." I tell him and he nods his head. We all sit down as Rebel watches her show, so I nod to the open-plan kitchen and we sit at the island so we can talk.

"Ok, talk to me. Tell me what

happened," Uncle Gianni asks, and so I tell them both what happened. haven't told anyone but now I need to get it out there. Once I've finished, I realised they were both angry with tears in their eyes but me, I had nothing. No tears, no feeling.

Nothing. Am I broken?

"We will send this out to people I can trust. People from our world. We will find out soon enough who this tattoo belongs to, then you leave it to us to bring them in." I shake my head.

"No, I need to do this. I am no longer

the Angel I was, the Angel who you knew. They could have taken my daughter, they could have killed her. But I am grateful they weren't interested in her. I was the prize. It

Savage. It's time, uncle G say to him as he looks at me before he looks at Marco.

"Time for what, baby girl?"

"I became what I was born to be. The heir to the DeNucci name. They have released a monster in me. And she wants their blood."
