The Beginning Of All Sins

Chapter 367

Tyler glanced at the table, then calmly averted his gaze. “He’s probably an important friend of Olivia’s.”

“A friend? What kind of friend gets so close to her?”

Tyler fell silent, perhaps because he had nothing to say,

After a few seconds, he spoke up, “I’ll take care of this.”

Keith interjected, “The news is still on the front page. How are you going to handle it?”

He glanced at his son, but seeing that had he rushed home immediately, he didn’t say anything more.

When Naomi opened the newspaper that morning, she was shocked, “Olivia?”

She couldn’t believe what she saw.

Seeing her reaction, Hillary reached for the paper and frowned as she read it.

“How could this happen, Mom?” Naomi said that and immediately called Tyler.

Hillary stopped her. “Don’t do that yet.”

Confused, Naomi looked up at her mother.

Though holding Naomi’s hand, Hillary’s focus remained on the man in the news. “That’s Pearce.

Taking the paper, Naomi squinted at the blurry image of the man. She didn’t recognize him at first, but he

did look like Claude.

Naomi frowned.

Hillary looked at the newspaper and smiled. “That’s nice. Olivia knows Claude Pearce. That works to our

advantage.”

Naomi’s hand relaxed, and she asked, “What do you mean?”

“Olivia and Tyler are expecting a child to save you, but they’re not actually married. She has every right to

be with anyone,”

“But now it’s become a major issue…”

“Ana shot herself in the foot. Olivia did nothing wrong. Ana’s attempt to publicly frame her has backfired. It’s only been two days, and Ana’s the one who’s been hurt the most.”

Hillary was overjoyed as she told her daughter, “Naomi, even God is on your side.”

Naomi looked calmer after hearing all that.

Hillary placed a hand on her shoulder. “Olivia is a good girl. She’s always been considerate. I misjudged her,” she admitted sincerely.

Naomi wasn’t entirely convinced and still looked concerned. “Olivia is my sister. This could affect her future significantly… She’s still so young.”

Ana was furious that morning and slapped one of the malds. Even Tyler and Keith, who were downstairs,

heard it.

Then, the maid started crying. “Ma’am, why did you slap me?”

Ana yelled, “Have you all gone deaf? I asked you to bring me a glass of water. Didn’t you hear? Are you ignoring me?”

“I really didn’t hear you, but you shouldn’t slap me for that.”

The maid continued crying upstairs, and Keith’s expression darkened at the harshness of his wife’s

actions.

Tyler remained silent, accustomed to her bossy attitude.

Ana’s fury stemmed not from the maid’s failure to hear her, but from everything that was happening

outside.

She had invested time nurturing Olivia, believing her to be a trustworthy pawn. Ana’s kindness towards her had been genuine, yet she found herself the subject of ridicule.

Ana had treated Olivia very well and helped her fit in as Mrs. Harris, yet she did such a thing.

Throughout the night, anger had consumed Ana, boiling her very insides.

The maid was still crying as Maisy entered and heard everything upstairs. She frowned too.

Keith ignored her and just walked away, but Maisy said, “Keith, Ana is going through menopause, Please speak to her.”

“Her problems are self–inflicted,” Keith retorted. “Why should I bother?”

Ana had chosen Olivia as her daughter–in–law, and now faced the consequences, unable to escape the

situation despite her tantrum.

Keith scoffed and went upstairs.

Maisy then looked at Tyler. “Olivia isn’t that kind of person, Tyler. I know her very well.”

Tyler’s expression remained icy, but he remained silent as Maisy went upstairs worriedly.

Meanwhile, Ana continued to berate the maid, who sobbed quietly.

Maisy stood at the door and asked, “Ana, why are you so angry?”

Ana looked at her and calmed down a little. After a few moments, she took a seat on the couch.

Maisy told the maid, “Go.” Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

The maid quickly got up and left the room.

Maisy walked into the room and told Ana, “I know why you’re angry, Ana. I’m not blind. However, you have

spent enough time with Olivia and should know what kind of person she is. You should know her better

than me.”

Ana looked over and frowned.

เป

“I believe Olivia is innocent, but something doesn’t add up. Who stanu gain the most from this?”

After pondering for a moment, Ana scoffed.

Darren learned what had happened from Hillary when she returned home. He appeared angry as he exited

the living room. “Darling, what’s happening with Olivia? Have you talked to her?”
