Chapter 267
Chapter 267
Molly was sat in the living room, waiting for Mr. & Mrs. Byrne to give her an earful, then slap on some
restrictions on her.
Leo, on the other hand, didn't go home. He was out having dinner with his father and Naomi. The trio
were out enjoying a barbecue. Both he and his father were taking meticulous care of Naomi.
This made Naomi feel that all her past hardships were for the happiness she was experiencing now.
Leo told them that the Mastin family was planning on suing his parents, "....but Mia shredded the
lawsuit, and Molly smashed everything valuable in the house. The six grand you gave last time, it's still
at the police station. They probably don't have money for medical treatment, they might even call you."
Bruce told his wife, "Naomi, don't bother about the Mastin family anymore. If they say they'll picket me
at the government building, let them. You don't need to be scared. I haven't done anything wrong. I'm
not afraid of being investigated."
As Leo ate, he said, "Yeah, Mom, you don't know enough about Mia and Molly. They know your
weakness, you care too much about me and Dad. As soon as they threaten Dad's position and my
future, you'll give in.
“This weakness is now known by Ellory and Kyle, they'll keep threatening you, making you give them
money. If you really let them protest at the city hall, you'll see if they dare to go.
“Even if they do go, we don't need to be scared. Every family has issues they can't resolve. Even if they
sue us, they won't win. We're all on vacation now, we have nothing to do. Let them protest, and as long
as we stay strong, we have nothing to fear."
The barbecue shop was filled with warmth, the glass was covered with condensation, the lobby was
filled with people, and there were people paying at the counter. The three of them sat by the window,
taking off their coats to eat.
Naomi looked at the father and son and said, "You three kids are talking about this too casually. They're
not afraid of any consequences. If they really protest in front of the government building, it will affect
you and your father."
Leo said, "It's fine. This father and son duo won't cause any real trouble. They can't stir up anything."
Bruce was curious about why his son thought so, "Why do you think that?"
"Because they have no money and are afraid to die. All their money has been wasted by them, who
would want to stir up trouble with them?"
Bruce patted his son on the back, looking at his grown-up and very smart son.
In the end, only Leo returned home well-fed and without being scolded. Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
Mia had already been lectured, while Molly was being lectured.
One person escaped, whose dinner was brought to the bedroom by the butler. But this time, the person
who brought Hansen his food was Andre.
Andre walked into his father's bedroom holding a plate with one hand. Hansen immediately sat up
straight, "I want to see the butler. You go out."
Andre put the food on the table, sat across from his father and asked, "Are you feeling uneasy too?"
Hansen didn't look at him anymore.
Hansen sometimes asked himself why he was being suppressed by Andre to the point where he
couldn't rise up and resolve the problem.
At the door, Mia silently walked to Hansen's bedroom door, she bent down and put her ear against the
door, trying to listen to any sounds from inside, "Why can't I hear anything?"
Inside the room, Andre said to his father, "Mia's been arrested twice. If she gets arrested again, she
can't be bailed out, you understand what I'm saying?"
Hansen innocently said, "My daughter emphasized to me last night that there would be no problem
today, I didn't expect there to be a problem, right?"
Andre said, "The three kids deceived you together last night."
Hansen shouted, "So insolent!"
He realized too late that the game last night was a trap and he was the one who was deceived. He was
very angry.
After all, as a father, Andre couldn't scold him directly like he would to his wife, so he left the room after
delivering Hansen's meal.
As he opened the door, a petite woman suddenly threw herself into his arms. Andre casually caught his
wife who had thrown herself at him, "Did you overhear anything?"
Mia shook her head, and complained, "The door is too good. It completely blocks the sound."
Seeing the sweet-talking Mia, Hansen pointed at Mia and said, "Bad girl."
Mia tilted her head and looked at her father eating through the crack of the door, "Dad, I'll treat you to
something delicious as an apology another day."
Hansen was speechless. Mia suddenly began to be good again.
In the evening, after taking a bath, Mia asked her good friend, "What punishment did you get?"
"Grounded for three days, how about you?"
"Originally sentenced to death, but acquitted."
Molly was envious, the two went to ask Leo, "Do we need to go visit you in the hospital?"
Leo sent them a video of their family eating barbecue.
Mia looked at it with her mouth watering, and Molly looked at it with great envy. After all the fuss, the
ones who ended up being punished were the two of them. Leo was living the life, even had meat to eat.
Mia looked at the man reading next to her, "Honey."
Andre closed the book and looked at his wife who was plotting something. Mia was scared to make any
requests by her husband's gaze. She could only silently watch Leo eat barbecue, her mouth watering.
Andre wasn't blind. He saw it but pretended not to.
Mia purposely acted pitiful, it was already ten o'clock at night and she wasn't sleeping, hugging her
phone and watching food live streams, making regretful sounds.
Andre couldn't read anymore, he closed the book, lifted the blanket and got out of bed, "Change."
"For what?"
Andre: "You know."
Looking at the barbecue on her phone, could it be, they were really going to eat barbecue? Her
husband was really so indulgent towards her?
She immediately changed into her clothes, following her husband out the door without any makeup on.
Wherever Andre went, she followed. She even walked the same path Andre had walked, like a little tail.
Once they were in the car, Mia turned to her husband and said, "Babe, because you love me so much,
I'll have as many kids as you want."
Andre glanced at her flat belly, "Let's make one first and see how it goes."
As he was driving, Mia leaned over and gave him a kiss, saying, "Honey, I love you, I love you more
than anything, you're the man of my dreams."
To which he retorted, "And the man who pisses you off the most."
Mia awkwardly chuckled, "Well, that's because you're my husband."
On their way to the barbecue restaurant, Molly called, "Mia, are you asleep yet?"
"No, what's up?"
"Come on, let's go for BBQ. I've convinced Chad to keep the shop open late, so we can go out tonight.
Sneak out when Andre's not looking. Don't let him catch you. I'll be waiting for you at the door."
Mia silently turned off the speakerphone on her cell. Then she glanced at her husband who was driving
next to her. She said to Molly, "Molly, let's each do our own thing. Andre heard everything you just said.
We're actually on our way to get BBQ too, just hoping we don't run into each other."
The line went dead silent for a moment before Molly quickly hung up.
