Surprised Wife With Twins

Chapter 2135: His Brother Arrived

Chapter 2135: His Brother Arrived

Harlan was injured, but it wasn't very serious. Although he had coughed up blood, it wasn't life-threatening. Soon, a middle-aged couple rushed to the door, and seeing their injured son, they hurried over with concern. "Harlan, how are you? Harlan! How did you get beaten up like this? Who did this?!"

When Harlan's mother looked at the person who seemed to be the culprit, she was almost ready to slap him. With anger in her eyes, she told the police, "You must punish him! Lock him up! He beat my precious son like this! How can this be allowed? Is there no justice?"

"Mom," Harlan called softly. He felt quite sorry for causing trouble and worry for his family at his age.

"Son, don't speak. Let Mom take a good look at you!"

"I'm fine, really," he said calmly, enduring the pain.

Spencer took a few steps back after standing up. He wasn't scared; he just wanted to stay away from Harlan's family because they were annoying.

"Quiet down. Your son also fought back," the police officer said fairly.

Harlan's mother quieted down as she didn't dare say much more when the police spoke. Harlan's father, tall and strong, held his son's shoulder and asked softly, "What happened? Why did you fight? What was it about? Who started it?"

Harlan didn't answer. His mother was more concerned about whether he was hurt and if it pained him.

The police saw Spencer roll his eyes at them disdainfully and impatiently checked his watch. "What about you? Where are your family members? If they don't come soon, you'll be staying here! We'll arrange a room for you!"

"He started it!" Spencer finally spoke up, full of resentment.

This angered Harlan's mother even more. "My son is the one who's injured! What kind of world is this? You hurt someone and still think you're justified?"

"I got hurt too!" Spencer rolled up his sleeve to show the scrapes from last night.

But these clearly weren't fresh wounds. Harlan's mother laughed angrily, "These weren't caused by my son!"

"Then his injuries weren't caused

by

me!" Spencer quickly retorted and shouted back at her, "Did you see it with your own eyes?! Which eye saw me hit him?!"

"You..." Harlan's mother was almost furious to death.

And that's exactly what Spencer wanted.

"Alright, alright!" The police officer felt a headache coming on. "Everyone stop arguing!"

At that moment, the chief walked in with Ivan. Hearing footsteps, everyone turned to look.

"Officer Liam," the officers greeted.

Ivan entered with a deep and calm gaze that fell only on his brother's face. Seeing that his brother wasn't seriously hurt and seemed okay, he felt relieved.

But when his brother rolled up his sleeve, Ivan immediately noticed the scrapes. How did those happen?

Spencer knew his brother had sharp eyes. He quickly rolled down his sleeve and avoided Ivan's gaze, afraid he'd be exposed.

"Mr. Marsh?" Harlan's father was

surprised to see this well-dressedet

man and immediately became

flattering, almost forgetting about his son's injuries.

Ivan merely glanced at him briefly before looking back at Spencer.

Spencer felt embarrassed and didn't dare meet his brother's eyes; he couldn't remember how many times he'd had to clean up after himself. "Where are your parents?!" Harlan's mother glared at Spencer unhappily. "Are we going to resolve this or not? You beat my son like this!" The police officers listened to their chief's quiet instructions and nodded silently without their earlier sternness.

Ivan looked at Harlan. "Tell me, how did you provoke my brother?" His tone wasn't accusatory but was protective in essence.C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.
