Chapter 1150 Threatening Janet
Chapter 1150 Threatening Janet
The two men exchanged glances, and one answered weakly, "Beats us. We used to be just the Lester family's chauffeurs. But now, we only do things for money."
Janet got impatient and didn't feel like arguing with them.
Long ago, Brandon had held a grudge against the Lester family and eventually settled his scores with them. Most of the members of the Lester family were either dead or punished. That included Seth, who had been sent to prison.
Moreover, Brandon had stayed out of contact with the Lester family. They had been utterly defeated. How was it possible for them to make a comeback?
Janet took a deep breath and calmed down. She said with a cold smile, "Go back and tell the Lester family this. None of the Lesters are allowed to see Tasha's child. Also, the child's surname will follow Tasha's. He will have nothing to do with the Lesters."
She sneered, "You're lucky I am the one who stopped you today. Otherwise, I doubt you can leave here alive."
She gestured to Mesue to let them go. Mesue obliged and untied their wrists.
"You should thank Mrs. Larson," Mesue scorned as she gave them two hard kicks on the butt.
"Thank you, Mrs. Larson," the two men bowed and said obediently before leaving in a hurry.
After watching the men leave, Janet found Mesue frowning at her in confusion. "Mrs. Larson, you're being softhearted again," she grumbled.
Janet sighed and explained, "It's not a big deal. Don't bother Brandon about this. If he knew the Lester family was back to cause trouble, he would definitely wipe them all out this time."
She didn't concern herself with what would happen to the Lester family. However, she didn't want to reopen Brandon's wound surrounding that family. She intended to keep mum about the incident out of love and protection for him.
Soon after, Janet called Tasha and told her about the incident. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
"I rejected Seth's request, but it never occurred to me he would harass you. I was too careless," Tasha said sullenly. She was seldom irritable, but her tone was unusually annoyed.
Initially, Tasha's heart wavered when Seth tried to reach out to her. However, after learning he had harassed Janet, she decided not to let her child see this vicious man!
"It doesn't matter. The matter is resolved for now. I just wanted to warn you to be more careful," Janet comforted her as she gradually calmed down. Unfortunately, she realized Brandon had heard her conversation when she turned around and met his gaze.
Janet hung up the phone hastily and stammered, "When did you come? Why didn't I hear you coming?" "You were too focused on your conversation. I've been standing behind you for the past few minutes," Brandon replied casually. Noticing Janet trying to hide her phone behind her, Brandon stared at her guilty look and laughed. "I've heard everything you said to Tasha."
Janet felt frustrated and gave up hiding her phone. She took it out and sulked. "Fine. So what are you going to do with it?" she asked.
Brandon looked at her playfully and teased, "What's wrong with you? Why are you so nervous? Did you think I would kill them all or something?"
Janet wanted to argue but quickly restrained herself. Besides, regardless of his plans, it wouldn't make much difference.
"Don't worry. I will just get those people to leave Tasha alone," Brandon assured her. His voice was deep and powerful.
Janet frowned and said, "Are you really willing to help her?"
Brandon looked serious and caressed her cheek. "Why are you so surprised?" he asked gently.
Janet shook her head and shrugged as she looked into his eyes. "Are you sure you want to be involved with the Lester family again?" she asked worriedly. "Tasha has nothing to do with the Lester family. She is your friend. Isn't that enough reason to help?" Brandon said as he looked at her calmly.
Janet answered firmly, "Yes, Tasha is no longer part of the Lester family."
