Chapter 157 Could Gwenda Be Your Sister-In-Law?
Chapter 157 Could Gwenda Be Your Sister-In-Law?
"Mum, you just praised her earlier."
Tyrell reminded her resignedly.
Piper rolled her eyes at him. "I'm asking what your thoughts are on her being your sister-in-law."
"Hmm?"
Tyrell raised an eyebrow, smiling when he thought of his wayward younger brother. "You shouldn't be
asking me about this."
"Well, you could give me some advice."
Piper said with a laugh. "I just think that Gwenda's not bad. The rumours from before are false. I only
found out how brilliant she is tonight. If nothing else, she'd be more than enough for that brat."
"It's up to you, mum,"
Tyrell said nonchalantly.
"That's settled then! I'll find a way to get them to meet up one day..."
Piper happily mulled over this matter.
At this moment abroad, Samuel Kinney could not hold back a sneeze, and he grumbled, "Someone Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
must be b*tching about me!"
"They're probably cursing you behind your back."
A mocking voice came from behind him.
Samuel turned to see that it was Olivier, and he rolled his eyes at the man. "What do you know, Mr.
Single Pringle? Plenty of women think about me, mind you, all the way from here to back home.
There's no way you can compare."
...
Olivier snorted disdainfully in response, a glass of wine in his hand.
"Oh yeah, why don't we head out for fun for a few days? We barely managed to solve this issue, and
I've totally arranged a few events for you to relax with."
"Nope, I'll be heading back tonight."
Olivier said casually after taking a sip of red wine.
"Heading back? Why are you in such a hurry?"
"Someone's missing me."
Olivier patted his shoulder while giving him a look that said he would not understand.
"What?"
Samuel's eyes widened in an instant. He jabbed a finger at Olivier and demanded, "Someone's missing
you? Who? Olivier Petit, what the hell did you do behind my back? Which vixen seduced you? Why
didn't I know about this before?"
"Don't be so full of sh*t."
Olivier glanced at him.
Samuel stared at him. "Hurry up and tell me. Which vixen is it? Is she someone I know? Lucy? Coco?
Ada?"
"Who on earth are you even talking about?"
Olivier gave him a look of confusion.
Samuel said, "That's not the point! The point is, who on earth is it? Why have I never heard of it
before?"
He had never heard of anyone being involved with Olivier.
So why on earth would a mysterious person like this exist?
"It's a pity that you're not working for the tabloids, given that you're such a gossip."
After mocking him, Olivier set the wine glass down. "Let's call it a night. After I've greeted Mr.
Copeland, I'll let him know that I'm leaving."
"Hey, wait a minute. I'll go back with you."
Samuel caught up with him.
Olivier glanced at him. "Weren't you going to stay for a few days? How come you're willing to leave
now?"
"With big gossip like this, of course I can't just let it go!"
Samuel raised his eyebrows. "I'd like to see who exactly seduced you..."
"You're dumb."
Olivier decided to give him the silent treatment.
...
After leaving the banquet, they got in the car and went to the airport.
It was already nine o'clock the next morning when they got back to Harmon City.
When they got off the plane, Samuel planned to follow Olivier. But the moment they walked out of the
airport, his phone rang.
Glancing at the caller ID, Samuel saw that it was his mother. Not daring to delay in answering, he
picked it up and said, "Hello, darling mother. Was there something that you needed by calling me this
early?"
"Where are you?"
At this time, Piper was eating in the dining hall at the Kinney family home.
"I just got back from abroad. Why?"
"Come home. I've arranged a luncheon for you this afternoon,"
Piper said casually.
Samuel glanced at Olivier, who was next to him, and said, "But I'm not free today."
"Not free? Since when are you ever free, huh? You keep trying to weasel out of coming home. What,
are you waiting for the day that I die so you will only come back for my funeral?"
"Mum, what are you talking about this bright and early morning?"
"Cut the crap. Just one question: are you coming home or not?"
Piper was assertive.
Samuel was helpless. "Fine, fine, fine. I'll go back, alright? I'll go back right now."
"Then you've got half an hour. Hurry up and come home!"
"Yes, ma'am!"
Hanging up, Samuel sighed and said resignedly, "I don't know what's wrong with my mum, ordering me
to head back right now. I guess I can't go visit your girlfriend with you today. Another day, I suppose. I'll
treat you both, so make sure you bring her."
Olivier smirked and said, "Get lost then. You're so long-winded."
"Right, see you then."
After he watched Samuel leave in a car, Olivier got into his own car too.
Otto, who was driving as usual, asked casually, "Where to, boss?"
"Hold on."
Olivier did not hasten in his reply. He took out his phone and sent out a text: "I just got back from a
business trip. Let's have lunch together."
