“That’s strange.” Fred turned and approached the doctor. “How is she?”
“She’s not getting any better. Although her heart rate is slow, it’s still beating. She will live for now, but her condition is
bad,” the doctor concluded.
After some thought, Fred shoved the doctors aside and grabbed Lily’s shoulders. “What the hell have you done to
yourself?! Are you out of your fucking mind?! Do you think you can end this if you die?
“I won’t let you! You will only die when I say!” He shouted through clenched teeth, “Do you hear me?”
Although he shook Lily hard, she didn’t even open her eyes. When he let go, Lily fell heavily onto the bed.
Fred took a deep breath and glared at her. “Save her! Do whatever you must—electric shock, needles, medication, or
injection. Do you understand?”
“Y-Yes, Your Grace!” the others stammered.
He nodded. “Stay here until Lily wakes up. If she doesn’t…”
He didn’t finish the sentence as it was clear what he would do to them.
