Chapter 1328 Quietly Tracking

Chapter 1328 Quietly Tracking

Layers of eerie fog covered Mount Everest, and ghost beasts roamed the area.

At that moment, Blake shielded Jean while scanning the surroundings for any sign of Lilly.

"I can't find any trace of Lilly here." He furrowed his brow as he swiftly killed another ghost beast.

While he found the ghost beasts manageable individually, their overwhelming numbers turned the task

into a relentless battle. They surrounded him from all sides, so he had no choice but to confront and

eradicate them. Although he had the option to use the teleportation formation to evade these creatures,

doing so risked overlooking any possible clues or traces that Lilly might have left behind.

Jean, breathing heavily from the exertion, persevered in killing the ghost beasts, striving to grow

stronger as quickly as possible. Although Blake found them manageable, they presented a greater

challenge for her.

"At this rate, we won't uncover any trace of Lilly," she worried. "The multitude of ghost beasts here

might overshadow any clues."

"Killing the ghost beasts will create traces. It's the anomaly of Mount Everest and our only search

method," he replied.

It was a crude method, but there seemed to be no alternative.

Suddenly, Jean exclaimed, "Over there!"

Blake swiftly turned to see the eerie fog shifting in a direction as if all the ghost beasts were converging

there. Remnants of slain ghost beasts littered the periphery.

"Lilly?!" He glimpsed a glimmer of hope. He raised his sword, cutting a path through the cluster of ghost

beasts!

Crawford Ancestor was on the verge of collapse. Despite being aware of Mount Everest's peril, the

reality was far more dangerous than anticipated. The danger didn't stem from the ghost beasts but from

the frenzied killing. The innocuous, eerie fog enveloping them was the true hazard.

Several times, he teetered on the brink of losing consciousness, only pulling back from the frenzy of

killing through his unwavering determination to find Lilly. Yet, even the search for Lilly had become an

all-consuming fixation.

When he was on the verge of exhaustion, disoriented by the bloodshed, a sudden white light pierced

through the eerie fog, and Crawford Ancestor abruptly regained clarity.

"Crawford Ancestor?!" Jean was surprised and somewhat disappointed. She was elated that he had

inadvertently rescued himself. Yet, she was disheartened because she still had not located her

daughter.

Blake spoke in a deep voice, "Let's make our way out of here."

Crawford Ancestor wore a bitter smile and replied, "Where can we go? This place is teeming with ghost

beasts."

Blake shook his head and said, "Ghost beasts consist of different populations, and where these

populations intersect, there are brief vacuum zones." He had discovered this after observing for a long

time, although it didn't seem immediately useful.

The three of them had no other option but to venture deeper into the area, their anxiety growing.

Crawford Ancestor added, "My soul contract beast is following Lilly. If the small ghost beast is still

nearby, tracking it should lead us to her." He caught his breath after stopping in a relatively calm

vacuum zone, offering a glimmer of hope.

This was welcomed news for Blake, as it meant there was at least one glimmer of hope.

Jean asked, "Crawford Ancestor, have you sensed the possible location of the small ghost beast?"

Crawford Ancestor nodded, gazing at the sky. While not entirely sure of the direction, his experience

guided him. "I believe it should be this way."

This was a much more practical approach than Blake's attempts to find any sign in the vast, ghost- NôvelDrama.Org content rights.

beast-filled eerie fog. After a brief rest, the three of them immediately resumed their search in that

direction.

...

He soon spotted a Darkshadow not far away. It appeared bewildered, scanning its surroundings before

heading in one direction.

Ivan felt oddly at home on Mount Everest, as though he knew how to shield himself from the eerie fog

and keep the ghost beasts at bay. Suppressing his breath to the lowest level, he silently trailed the

Darkshadow. Ivan had a hunch that the black-robed man possessed crucial information, and by

following him, he might find Lilly. New chąpter avąilable oո

He dared not release even a hint of his spirit energy, as any fluctuation would be like a beacon in the

darkness, easily detected by the black-robed man and the ghost beast pack.

After approximately ten minutes of pursuit, the barely discernible figure of the black-robed man ahead

vanished.

Ivan's heart sank, thinking, This is not good...
