Alexander rested for a while after Rita left. He didn't even think about what happened earlier on. It
wasn't worth his time. He stood up from the bed and headed behind his walk in closet. On the wall was
a button. He pressed it and with a rumbling sound, an underground staircase was revealed. He headed
down the stairs and once he stepped down the last stair closed back up; almost as if nothing
happened.
Everywhere was white; the walls and lights.
He continued walking with determined steps.
He finally stopped in front of a glass door. He scanned his thumbprint, and the door opened. He stepped
into the room and smiled.
"Hey... Guess who is here to see you." Alexander said with a chuckle. The man seated in front of him
was bound. He raised his head slowly.
His facial appearance was the same with Alexander.....

The next morning, Kathleen walked into her office spiritedly. Today, she was determined to find out the
identity of that lady.
"Good morning President." Her assistant greeted with a bow.
Kathleen acknowledged his greeting with a nod. "I called you yesterday, your number was switched
off." Kathleen said.
"I'm sorry President, I always switch my phone off at night." He apologized.
"I need you to do something...." She explained everything.
As she was explaining, she didn't notice but her assistant's back broke in cold sweat. Wasn't this a
ridiculous situation?
How could she be told to find herself? NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
Ridiculous indeed...
"Alright President,I will see to it right away." With a bow, 'he' scurried out of the office.
'He' was afraid 'his' facial expression would give 'him' away...
Kathleen gave a sigh. She was still hurt about what happened.
She decided that if her father didn't apologize, she wasn't going to speak to him either.
But she doubted if he would. It wasn't as if the bond between them was strong in the first place. He
wouldn't be bothered by her anger...
The events that have been unfolding these past few days was giving her headache.
There was Henry, then her father of all people...
After she discovered the identity of the lady, she was going to teach her a little lesson. There was no
way she would let her off...
Even though she knew her father was at fault too, she wasn't going to punish her father, was she?
The lady was going to suffer for it... A little lesson, just a little...

Stephen glanced through the pictures on the table in front of him.
'So this was the Henry, hunhh?...'
He felt the reason why Quinn wasn't giving him a chance was because she still had feelings for Henry.
He hadn't met the son of a bitch before... But he already hated him.
He was stupid... Very stupid...
Quinn didn't explain much to him, she only told him he was the father of her child. She also told him he
already had a fiancee. So, he assumed the bastard forced himself on her.
Fool...
He turned to look at the photos again. He had to admit the fool was good looking...
"Maybe that's why Quinn doesn't want to take a second look at me. She already met someone better
and didn't want to settle for something less." He shook his head in self disapproval.
However, he wasn't going to let go easily... He was going to fight for his love.
He was going to prove to Quinn that he was a better choice than that bastard.
According to his investigation, he hadn't gotten married to his fiancee.
Who was he waiting for?? For eight whole years??
What was the name of his fiancee? Kath something...
Yeah, Kathleen...
Since she was interested in Henry and he was interested in Quinn, both of them could team up and
separate them...
The door opened at that moment and Quinn came in.
"Hey, what a pleasant surprise." He beamed at her. She was back in Washington DC... But she would
be going back soon enough.
He had to make a move before she left...
"Stephen... Busy?" She sat on the chair in front of him with a smile.
"What brings you to my office?" He was honestly surprised. Quinn had never visited him at his office
before... So,his reaction was understandable..
"Aren't I welcome? If I'm not, I guess I have to take my leave." Quinn playfully stood up to leave.
"Of course you are more than welcome... I was just surprised that's all..." Stephen voiced out his
mind...
"Of course you should be." Quinn chuckled. "That's by the way though.. I'm here for two reasons.." She
adjusted her position on the chair.
"What reasons?" Was she returning to California?
"One,I wanted to know your office... Two, I wanted to ask you for a favor." Quinn said in a soft tone.
"A favor? What favor?" He ignored her first statement and jumped to the second one.
"I want you to pretend to be my husband." Quinn said straightforwardly without beating around the
bush.
"What? I don't understand." Stephen was confused. Wasn't he already pretending to be Emelda's
father?
Then?
"Pretend to be my husband, please." Quinn begged.
She explained everything to him, and at the end of it, a disappointed look crossed his face.
Why was it always Henry? He knew the reason he was pretending to be Emelda's father wasn't
because of her,but in case she came across Henry.
If it were for Emelda's sake, she could lie that her father was dead. There was no need to pretend.
"So, will you help me?" Quinn looked at him expectantly.
Although Stephen was unhappy, he agreed to it. This could be a way to get closer to her, closer to his
aim...
"Of course, I will help you." He smiled at her.
"Hah.. Thank goodness. You are simply the best." Quinn said excitedly.
"Do you have anything doing tonight?" Stephen asked after a while.
"No,why do you ask?" Quinn asked confused.
"I want to take you out for dinner. Just two of us." He added hurriedly.
"Ohh?? Okay then. Fine by me." She agreed without hesitation.
"Alright, I'll pick you up." Stephen said excitedly.
