Chapter 2994
“He’s going on a trip and it’s to see his mom, so of course he’s excited.” This weekend was the one that Sonny looked forward to the most and was the happiest about.
With Duncan taking the place of Hank as a father, it was essentially a family trip. It would be weird if Sonny was not happy about it.
“Sonny didn’t even come to see me before leaving. He'll be gone for two days... I'll miss him.” Zachary grumbled about the little boy’s “heartlessness”.
Serenity laughed. “If | weren't delivering him his luggage, he wouldn’t have come to see me either, and would've just left with Duncan.
“It saved time. Otherwise, it would have been really late by the time they got to Jensburg. “My sister’s still waiting to have dinner with them too.” Zachary rubbed her stomach and asked softly, “Has our Lil’ Bun been good?”
“Li? Bun’s still too small to disturb me much. Once the baby’s grown a little bigger, | won't be able to sit for long periods of time. If I do, the baby will feel uncomfortable and kick a lot.”
Serenity remembered when Liberty was pregnant with Sonny. Once her stomach swelled up, she could no longer sit for long periods. Sonny would kick a lot if she did.
“You should stop working after the sixth month.”
Serenity did not object. She hummed in agreement. “I'll stop working once | reach the third trimester and stay at home to focus on nurturing the baby.”
Zachary sighed in relief. He had been terribly afraid Serenity would insist on working until she was eight or nine months in. That would be exhausting.
After Serenity got pregnant, Zachary realized how difficult it was for pregnant women and he changed the company’s policy for female employees. The company would not give female employees too much work to do for as long as they were pregnant and they would be allowed to go on paid leave once they were eight months pregnant.
They would not be asked to return to work after giving birth before the baby turned six months old and could remain on paid leave for that duration. Of course, the company would not stop them if they voluntarily chose to return to work.
“Who were you talking to on the phone when | came in? | think | heard you say something about a branch company.” Serenity did not answer him immediately and instead asked him to get a glass of water for her.
“My mouth is all dry from talking.”
Zachary immediately got up to pour her a glass of water.
He also grabbed a few of the snacks she fancied to ease her cravings.
Serenity was indeed thirsty.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
She downed the glass of water in a flash.
Upon seeing this, Zachary poured her another glass before sitting down and helping her open the snacks.
“I'm thinking of opening a branch in Jensburg. I’m getting my sister to help me check out the farming towns in the rural areas of Jensburg to see if there are a lot of barren fields and then I’m going to rent some to plant fresh produce there.”
Zachary's dark eyes flickered and he said in his deep voice, “That’s not a bad idea. Has it already been agreed upon?”
Serenity nodded. Knowing that her husband was worried, Serenity reassured, “Don’t worry, I’m staying behind to look after the HQ. Jasmine too.”
Zachary leaned closer to kiss her on the cheek and said dotingly, “Once the baby’s born, you can go wherever you want. I’ll fly all over the world with you if I’m free too.
“My wifey’s business should only keep getting bigger and better. Oh, you also have to ma ethesésrnai spgpsand facldriés our family owns.” Zachary sighed. “My wife is such a busy person. Will she even remember her husband's existence once she gets busy? Please read the original content at .
“I'm afraid I'll have to raise the child, waiting for your return home on tenterhooks.” Serenity lightly pinched his arm.
She could not help but laugh, “Don’t make yourself sound so pitiful. Who told you to marry me? Who told you to be the eldest son of the York family?

She might die of exhaustion if she had to handle so many things alone.
Zachary’s aunts were helping her mother-in-law too.
