Chapter 101
Rose’s POV
5 Years Later
Time seemed to have flown by in the blink of an eye. It felt like just yesterday that we were bringing little Tommy into the world, and now, here we were, celebrating his fifth birthday….
As I busied myself with preparations for the party, a sense of warmth and gratitude washed over me, filling our home with a palpable sense of joy and anticipation as we decorated the place in green themed decor.
Tommy had grown into a spirited and lively young gay, inheriting his father’s stubbornness and determination in equal measure which often made m chuckle.
Despite the occasional challenges that came with his strong–willed nature, there was no denying the joy and laughter he brought into our lives each and every single day.
As I put the finishing touches on the decorations, I couldn’t help but smile at the thought of Tommy’s excitement when he would see the colorful banners and balloons adoring our backyard. His face would light up with delight, his laughter echoing through the air as he raced around with boundless energy.
Just like his father, Tommy had a knack for getting into mischief, but his infectious laughter and playful spirit never failed to brighten by even the gloomiest of days.
As I set up the table with plates of snacks and treats, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the memory of the countless adventures Tommy had embarked upon, often with Ashton by his side, guiding and encouraging him every step of the way.
“Mom? Where is Zander?” I turn to find my boy approaching in a hurdling run, as I manage to pick him up and turn him playfully before placing him
back down.
He wasn’t so small anymore that was for sure! For a five year old he was pretty tall, but Ashton said he was the same when he was younger so he evidently took after him.
“He’s arriving in five minutes.” 1 explain, as he nods and rushes towards the front window to watch for his best friend.
As the guests began to arrive, Tommy’s excitement reached a fever pitch, his eager anticipation bubbling over as he greeted each of his friends with an enthusiastic hug and a wide grin – but still waited on for the arrival of Zander who was his number one most important.
“Mom if he doesnt come to my party then I’ll have to just fight him for it.” Tommy says aloud in the sweetest voice as I almost choke on the water I had just sipped.
“No you will not Tommy: You haven’t to fight anyone today!” I scold instantly, as he turns to me and blinks through his long lashes before turning back 10 the window.
“HES HERE!” He suddenly beams, doing little jumps as we watch Lydia and Hunt walking in with Zander by their side.
Despite his stubborn streak, there was no denying the warmth and affection he held for those closest to him, a frait he undoubtedly inherited from both Ashton and myself again.
Going to the door, we greeted them, as Tommy wasted no time on grabbing Zander and racing to the back garden to show off his fun filled party.
As the afternoon wore on, the backyard was filled with the sounds of laughter and chatter, the air tinged with the scent of cake. Watching Tominy surrounded by his small friends and loved ones, I couldn’t help but feel a well of pride and gratitude for the remarkable young boy he had become.
We’ve done good! How is he five already? I turn to find Ashton approaching me to take a seat, as I giggle and watch on as Tommy throws himself off from the highest point of the bouncy castle slide – with no fear.
He’s just like you! He was claiming that he would fight Zander if he wouldn’t show up to his party earlier! I shake my head and joke as Ashton smirks proudly at the fact
Well I would fight Hunt and Sawyer for not attending mine so he’s quite right… Zander would give him a good opponent any how they damn well fight all of the time for fun!” He states, referring to their rough and tumble nature together which always had myself and Lydia worried sick.
As the afternoon sun raat a golden glow over the back yard, laughter and chatter filled the air as Tommy and his friends continued to play and enjoy the

festivities. Just as the excitement reached its peak, a familiar figure caught my eye, making its
“Sawyer!” I called out, a warm smile spreading across my face as I hurried over to greet him. Behind him, I noticed Millie pushing a pram, a curious expression on her face as she surveyed the scene before her.
“Rose!” Sawyer exclaimed, returning my smile as he enveloped me in a tight hug. “Happy birthday, Tommy!” he added, ruffling our son’s hair affectionately as he raced over to see his uncle.
“Millie, you remember Rose, Ashton, and their son, Tommy,” Sawyer introduced, his voice tinged with pride as he gestured towards us
Millie smiled and waved, her eyes peering down into the pram, her face breaking into a delighted smile at the sight of the tiny newborn nestled within. “She’s beautiful,” I breathed, my voice filled with wonder and awe.
As Ashton approached, his eyes widened in surprise at the sight of Sawyer and Millie with their newborn daughter. “Sawyert Millie! Congratulations!” he exclaimed, extending his hand in greeting as Sawyer grinned proudly.
“Thanks, Ashton.” Sawyer replied, his chest swelling with pride as he glanced down at Hailey. “It’s been an incredible journey, becoming a father and finding my mate.”
As we gathered around the pram, admiring the precious bundle of joy, Sawyer and Millie shared stories of their journey together, recounting the ups and downs they had faced before finally finding each other. Their love and devotion were palpable, radiating from every word and gesture as they spoke.
Watching Sawyer and Millie with their newborn daughter, I couldn’t help but feel a swell of happiness and gratitude for the beautiful moments we were privileged to share together. Despite the challenges and hardships we had faced along the way, we had emerged stronger and more united than ever before, bound together by the unbreakable bonds of love and family.
It took me back to my early days with Ashton, reflecting back on how far we had both come when I was first that girl known as Tragedy.
He saved me – without even knowing he did.
I love him and our son, and I longed for many more days just like this…
The End.
