In the afternoon, Natalie took Skylar to visit some well–known tourist spots, checking off each location as they went.

During their tour, Austin called Natalie. He invited them to his mansion for a gathering that evening.

“Skylar, we’re not staying at a hotel tonight. We’ll be staying at Mr. Powell’s mansion. I’ve been there before, it’s like a hidden paradise! Oh, and Mr. Powell mentioned that there will be a barbecue tonight. He said we should head over after we finish up here.”

Natalie’s eyes lit up like stars when she mentioned the barbecue and the mansion.

Skylar’s curiosity was piqued at the mention of such a wonderful place. “Sounds amazing! Let’s buy some desserts and fruit to bring over later.”

“Sure, we can buy some desserts. However, Mr. Powell’s mansion has a chef who can make both Floan and Wiscadian cuisines, and the desserts there are delicious, too.

“As for fruit, there are fresh ones in the orchards there that we can pick ourselves,” Natalie said. She suddenly realized how much she remembered about the mansion.

Skylar chuckled and said, “Alright then, let’s just grab some desserts.”

After shopping for a while, the two of them bought some desserts. Before it got dark, they got into the car and headed to the mansion.

They snacked on some pastries to tide them over on the drive there.

Then, Skylar picked a few freshly taken photos from their sightseeing and sent them to Joe. He responded quickly, “You look beautiful. The scenery is alright.”

Skylar grinned and asked, “Since when did you learn how to sweet- talk?”

Joe’s reply was simple. “It’s just the truth.”

His compliment made Skylar’s heart flutter, especially paired with his sincerity.

“You two are too sweet. I wasn’t prepared for your public display of affection,” Natalie teased, noticing Skylar’s smile. She looked like a woman who was deeply in love.

Natalie was genuinely happy for Skylar, seeing the way things had developed between her and Joe. She had a strong feeling that once Joe fell for Skylar, he would never look at anyone else.

An hour later, they arrived at Austin’s mansion. Only Austin and Hank were there. The rest of the studio team had not yet arrived.

The barbecue grill was already set up on the lawn, with various skewered meats arranged nearby.

“Mr. Powell,” Skylar greeted Austin warmly.

Austin greeted them with a smile. “We’ll be starting the barbecue soon. Feel free to sample some of the freshly prepared dishes and seafood if you’re hungry. The pizza should be ready soon too.

“The meat tonight is marinated with ingredients sent from Jipsburg City. It’s going to be incredibly flavorful,” Hank added with a hint of drool.

Skylar looked at Hank. She had seen him once or twice before, but this time, she was as surprised as she had been when she saw Natalie at the hotel. “Hank, you’ve lost weight.”

Hank was somewhat pleased with his weight loss. “Yes, I’ve lost 20

pounds. It’s thanks to my recent self–discipline.”

Natalie chuckled, unable to hide her amusement. She quickly turned away to avoid Hank noticing her laughter. The so–called self-

discipline was a bit of a joke.

Since arriving in Fachington, Hank struggled with the local cuisine. Initially, like Natalie, he had tried various new dishes and even gained a few pounds.

However, he lost his appetite for most food once the novelty wore off. He couldn’t always visit the mansion.

He found the Floan cuisine elsewhere didn’t suit his taste, and he didn’t like the cuisine from other countries either.

As a result, he ended up losing weight. However, Hank lost more weight than Natalie did.
