Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 9

Naomi headed to the airport. On the way there, Amella kept calling her. She forced Naomi to send her a photo of the divorce certificate.

Naomi did not know what to do with Amella, so she went along and sent her a photo.

When Amella received it, she blurred the Important Information on the photo and uploaded the photo to her social media..

Her post immediately appeared right on the top of everybody’s news feed.

Charles Ward just finished an academic conference. He came out of the venue looking rather lethargic. He did not sleep much for the past few days while preparing for the conference.

Finally, he had time to relax. He got in the car and leaned back. He closed his eyes. He wanted to rest for a while before heading home.

It was dark at night in Ayerland at that moment. The skies were peppered with bright stars. The Milky Way could be seen as far as the eye could see. He was surrounded by the serene nature.

His phone suddenly vibrated violently, jolting him awake.

He opened his eyes groggily and answered. “Hello.”

He merely had a glance at his phone before answering. He knew who the caller was.

An excited voice rang out, “Holy cow! You’re really in luck!”

Charles was familiar with this opening. He furrowed his brows. He was no longer sleeping. He pinched the middle of his brow and sat up. “Are you drunk?” He sounded raspy and exhausted.

“Nope! I’m sober as hell!” Sean still sounded excited, as if about to announce good news.

The happiness in the voice was infectious, Charles said with a smile, “Are you getting married?”

The other end of the line was instantly silent.

Charles smiled even wider. “Alright, tell me. What could make you so happy?”

“Now that you’re asking, I don’t want to tell you anymore,” Sean paused before continuing, “but, as a good brother. I’ve seen you being single for so many years. Being all alone. Now that your chance is finally here, I won’t torture you any longer. I’ll give you a hint.

“Go and have a look at Amelia Reed’s post! There’s good news waiting for you! Go right now!”

The caller hung up.

Charles’s heart skipped a bit. The quiet heart that laid low for three years suddenly started pounding.

He did not know wh

the news was, but the hint he got gave him an idea.

Whether it was real or not, Charles could not help himself but did as Sean told him to do.

He went onto his social media. He was so nervous he had to tap a few times before managing to enter.

After entering, he could no longer continue because his heart was beating wildly.

He did not dare to look. He was afraid that the outcome would be different than what he expected. That this would be all just a dream.

He clutched his phone tightly and tried to force himself to calm down. His hand was finally not shaking anymore. He scrolled through until he found Amelia’s profile.

Amelia’s profile picture was of her with her cat. It did not take long for h

he often looked at her posts, in case he could get any news of her.

He found her profile. He paused for a while, hesitating.

He tapped into her profile.

Right at this moment, it was silent all around him.

to find her profile because

The photo of the divorce certificate was right in front of him. Her caption was clear as day.

Naomi Goodwin

Naomi Goodwin.

He clenched his fingers. He stared at the photo until he was trembling. He looked at the name. Then, on the divorce certificate. He looked at it over and over.

He gradually smiled.

In thirty years of his life, that was the first time he felt truly happy.

He smiled for a long time, reading the caption intently.

‘Naomi. This time, I won’t miss my chance anymore,‘ Charles mused to himself.

He made a phone call. “Gareth, reschedule all my work. I’m going home.”

“Right now? How long will you be gone?”

“I have no fixed date.

“You-”

“I’m going to get the girl I love.”
