Chapter 154: You’re So Petty-Minded
Chapter 154: You’re So Petty-Minded
“Done.” Benjamin’s voice sounded from the dining table site. He raised his head from the laptop and turned the computer towards them, “It’s clear.”
The camera was facing the sofa, and behind it was the bedroom, half-opened. They could see the decorations inside the bedroom.
“Oh my gosh, it’s such an eyesore.” Alayna Cole exclaimed as she just saw it.
Alayna overstated, giving a disgusted look.
Hayden sat on the sofa and started roasting, “Luckily for you that you weren’t the one who did this. Otherwise, you would vomit on the spot. That room was filled with perfume smell, making me feel so uncomfortable. Not sure where did Chelsea find such a toy boy.”
Although saying that it was an eyesore, Alayna still pulled a chair and sat in front of the laptop. She took out a pack of sunflower seeds to eat while watching the screen.
“You’re like watching a movie.” Hayden glanced at Alayna and couldn’t help teasing her.
“Of course. Isn’t it?”
Hayden chuckled.
On the other hand, Chelsea walked into the room slowly.
The man embraced her as she just came in. He got near Chelsea, sniffing her hair.
“You’re finally here, Chelsea. I miss you so much, not seeing you in the past few days.”
Chelsea frowned and pushed him away, feeling reluctant, “What for calling me here? Hadn’t I told you not no contact me during this period? I’m busy.”
The man disgruntled for being pushed away. He looked at Chelsea and talked with displeasure, “What are you up to? Busy flirting with Freddie? Do you really think that I know nothing? Everyone is talking about it, that you had been going to Freddie’s company daily in the past two days.”
“You think that I’m idling? I went there to settle down the news.”
Chelsea kept a straight face, “What are you jealous about? You knew that I have a fiancé. What can I still do with Freddie?”
“It’s another matter that you have your fiancé. Anyway, if you want to have a lover, that would only be me.”
The man arrogantly sat on the sofa, “I was planning to go shooting a film too, but you said you would keep me as a lover back then. If it wasn’t because of you, I would not be any less famous than Freddie now.”
Hearing this, Chelsea glanced at him. The man indeed looked like her dream man, as looking from the side. Thinking of being ignored by Freddie this morning, she had many thoughts at the moment.
They looked so alike but with different personalities. Chelsea rolled her eyes and put a smile on her face.
“It’s alright. I didn’t complain anything about it. Why being angry?”
Chelsea turned her bad mood around out of the blue. She sat closer to sweet-talk him, “If I don’t care about you, why still keeping you as my lover? Don’t overthink it. I just bought a new watch for you. Don’t you want to have a look?”
“Knock it off. You use this trick every time you messed up with another man outside.”
The man looked down at his fingers, ignoring her.
“Like it or not.” Chelsea’s face darkened. If it wasn’t for his face, she would definitely not spend so much money on him in all these years.
Seeing that Chelsea changed her face again, the man pursed his lips, feeling aggrieved, and then leaned over her, “I didn’t mean it. You knew I wasn’t talking about this…”
“Fine. I don’t have… What are you doing?”
Before finishing her words, her face turned pale as the man carried her, “What are you doing? Put me down…”
All the scenes in that room were recorded by the spy camera and transmitted to the other room.
“Damn. She’s really bizarre, keeping such a man as a lover and still spending a lot on him.”
Alayna exclaimed.
“Alayna, you’re wrong. All is fair in love. Why are you worrying so much?”
Benjamin teased Alayna ruthlessly. Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
Alayna rolled her eyes at him, “I’m educating you, isn’t it? Don’t be a bad influence.”
“You consider too much, Alayna.”
Benjamin closed the laptop, “Let’s go. It’s about time. The images on the camera will be recorded directly.”
“Huh? Leaving so soon?”
Alayna was overwhelmed.
Hayden just came out of the bedroom after changing the hotel waiter’s uniform. She snickered, “How about you leaving the laptop for her to watch while we leave first?”
Benjamin pondered for a moment, “It’s fine to me. I could give her a copy about it too.”
“Hey, why do I want to watch it?” Alayna yelled, “I was thinking of why not we wait for them to come out and we settle this down? You’re so petty.”
“Fine. We’re petty-minded, okay? Leave or not.”
“Of course I’m leaving. Why watching these messy things?”
They were speechless.
In the next morning in the conference room of the Ray-Trace Media…
Chelsea came late, “I just got a little late.”
Hayden looked at her, “Seems that it’s something important.”
Hearing this, Chelsea frowned as she gathered the silk scarf around her neck, hiding the suspicious red marks.
“Don’t you have to prepare for the press conference? Just don’t delay our matters in the afternoon.”
Chelsea glanced at Hayden, “If I were to say, you could don’t join us, as you just only messing around here.”
“I didn’t intend to participate in this. I’m here just to show you this.”
“What’s it?”
Hayden handed over a manuscript in her hand, “Read this during the press conference later.”
Chelsea read a few lines, and her face had already turned blue. She didn’t go ballistic as Freddie was there on the spot. “This is not what we had agreed before. What do you mean by I am Freddie’s sister? I’m not his sister. I’m his fiancée.”
“Fiancée?” Hayden sneered, “Atwood, please take the others out for a moment. I have something to talk to my sister.”
After all, this was a family scandal, and they need not let others know about it.
Atwood had also felt the awkwardness and quickly led the people away. There were only Hayden, Chelsea, and Freddie left in the conference room.
Hayden clicked the enter button on the laptop, and a buffered video started to play on the projector.
“What are you doing?”
“See it for yourself.”
As the recording played, Freddie frowned and turned away from the screen, while Chelsea’s face turned even paler. As they just watched for a few seconds, Chelsea rushed up.
She closed the laptop and unplugged all the power cords. The projector stopped playing, and her voice was trembling, “Hayden, shame on you, installing surveillance in my room.”
Hayden was calm and said, “What do you think that the reporters and Freddie’s fans would evaluate such a fiancée after watching this?”
“How dare you?” Chelsea’s face turned pale, “If you dare to share this, you will piss off dad.”
“That’s not for you to worry about.” Hayden gave her a cold-eyed stare, “All you need to do, is considering whether you follow the script or not.”
