Chapter 210 A perfect copy
After they left the Empire Group, Malinda led Louise, who was still sulking, to her car. Then she took
out a bag from the backseat and handed it to Louise. “This is for you.” Louise stared at the bag, her
eyes wide with excitement. “Oh, my God. How did you get it? There are only three of these bags in the
world! How beautiful it is! I’ve been wanting some bag like this for a long time.” Rubbing the bag gently, Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
Louise’s happiness was very great.
“Good. So glad you like it. Thank you for helping me get the pendant, I appreciate it. But don’t mention
it to anyone, okay?” said Malinda, looking extremely grave.
“But why did you…” Louise still couldn’t figure out why Malinda got it back, but when she looked at
Malinda, who was smiling but her eyes made her displeasure clear, Louise kept her mouth shut.
“Louise, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving now. Bye!” said Malinda.
“Bye.” Louise said. She studied the bag carefully and forgot unhappiness completely.
While Malinda’s car was running on the road, she gave her driver an address. “Go to this place.” Before
too long, the car drew up in front of a shabby house. It was a less populated part of city. Malinda got
out of the car, through a dirty path, and came to a door. She knocked on the door. The door opened
and a middle-aged man stepped out.
“Come in, Miss Roach.”
Malinda nodded and went in. The middle-aged man let Malinda sit down and walked into a room.
Within moments, he appeared with a little box in his hand. He passed it to Malinda and said, “This is
the thing you asked for.”
Malinda took the box, but didn’t open it. She peered at the box and asked, “Are you sure it’s near
perfect copy of the real thing?”
“Yes, definitely,” the man said confidently. “Yes, I admit. The carver of the pendant is very highly skilled,
but twenty years have passed, and the technology today is very developed. Coping the pendant is not
so difficult.”
Malinda nodded. She returned Blanca the pendant in order not to raise suspicion, but she had
prepared very well. She had asked someone to copy it exactly in advance.
To please her, the middle-aged man continued, “Especially, the jade you gave me is of top quality.
Nobody is able to tell the difference from the real one.”
Malinda slowly opened the box and saw a pendant lying in it. It was exactly the same as Blanca’s
pendant, from pattern, color to feel. She grinned with satisfaction. Then she gave the man a check.
“Thank you. This is for you. And keep the secret for me,” Malinda said. She stood up and walked out.
“That’s very generous, Miss Roach. Come again if you need anything,” the middle-aged man said. He
looked at the check, grinning from ear to ear.
