My Wife Wants a Divorce by Red Little Fruit

Chapter 1051 Julien Was Mad

Chapter 1051 Julien Was Mad

Julien was not stupid. He knew what Mr. McDaniel was up to. Mr. McDaniel wanted Julien to break up with Sydney, so he said those things to belittle Sydney.

Julien was surprised that Mr. McDaniel had such a traditional concept about marriage. Mr. McDaniel believed that for a couple, both their families should be on an even keel.

For many prominent families, it was important that the husband and the wife should be from the same class, but Julien didn't care about that.

The Flint family didn't need to get a business alliance through a marriage.

Flint Corporation was already a top business empire. The business had become an industry leader in any field it set foot in.

Julien had no problem marrying a woman with an ordinary family.

He believed that marriage was his own choice. He was the one who was going to spend his life with his wife, not anyone else, and therefore no one else was in a position to judge.

As long as his marriage to Sydney did not hurt anyone else, no one was in the position to object to their marriage.

He was shocked when he learned that Mr. McDaniel tried to get him to break up with Sydney and marry a woman who was the right match.

Julien thought Mr. McDaniel would like Sydney, and he had planned to bring Sydney to see Mr. McDaniel someday.

He couldn’t believe that Mr. McDaniel was against him marrying Sydney.

He guessed that he had better not bring Sydney to see Mr. McDaniel so that Mr. McDaniel would not make Sydney unhappy. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Julien wondered when Mr. McDaniel had become so realistic. Julien had never known Mr. McDaniel to be so realistic or had Mr. McDaniel became realistic as he grew older.

But anyway, no one would ever try to interfere with him and Sydney or tear them apart.

Julien's face was solemn, and a resolute look was in his eyes.

At that moment, footsteps came from outside the door.

The next second, the footsteps stopped and someone knocked on the door. "Mr. Flint."

Zach had returned after walking Mr. McDaniel out.

Julien collected his thoughts and answered, "Come in."

Zach pushed open the door and got into the room.

Julien poured himself a cup of tea and asked, "Is Mr. McDaniel gone?"

"Yes. I walked Mr. McDaniel downstairs and watched him get into his car. After his car drove off, I came back." Zach reported to Julien.

Julien nodded. Then he took a sip of tea and asked, "Now tell me: What happened to Leaf?"

"Yes." Zach then told Julien what had happened online.

After hearing Zach's brief account, Julien got angry. His face darkened, and he gave off a frightening aura.

He looked at Zach with a sullen face and questioned, "Why didn't you tell me about such an urgent matter earlier?"

Zach hastened to explain, "Mr. Flint, I've only just learned of this matter. I was at home in the morning. I came into the office about a half hour ago. Then I heard the staff gossip and learned about it. As soon as I knew about it, I called Ms. Raines with your phone and told her not to worry and that I would take care of it. I then got the PR department involved to delete those badmouthing comments and find out the media outlets that were spreading the gossip. After I did that, I came to see you."

After hearing Zach's explanation, Julien knew he had wronged his assistant. His face eased a bit, but his aura was still frightening. "Give me the phone," Julien demanded.

"Yes." Zach hurriedly took Julien's phone out of his pocket and handed it to Julien.

Julien grabbed the phone to see if there was a message from Sydney, but he was disappointed. Sydney hadn't sent him a message. He furrowed his brows.

But then he remembered that Zach had called Sydney, so he guessed that was the reason Sydney hadn't sent him a message.

"How does Leaf sound?" Julien gripped the phone tightly and stared at Zach.

Zach replied hesitantly, "I think Ms. Raines was upset. The gossip gave her a blow."

While Sydney was off doing her business, someone snapped a picture of her and posted it to the Internet with a smear.

Anyone would have been angry about that.

Knowing Sydney was in a bad mood, Julien felt so worried. His tone became fierce.

"Did you find out who started it?"

Zach had just said that the Squirrel team had been the first to post the gossip.

The Squirrel team was just a small media outlet. They wouldn't dare do such a thing if no one instructed them to.

The Squirrel team was just a tool. There must be someone else behind the scenes.

They had the audacity to make up a rumor to smear Sydney, which literally humiliated Julien.

Julien was determined to find out who was behind this.

"Not yet." Zach shook his head. "I just found out about it and I had someone look into it right away, but it's going to take some time. But I'm sure the person behind it is a woman."

"A woman?" Julien was confused.

Zach explained, "Yes. The Squirrel team posted the gossip in an obvious attempt to smear Ms. Raines for cheating on you. Everyone despises cheaters. I think whoever is behind it wants you to break up with Ms. Raines. There are many ways to smear Ms. Raines, but the person chose to frame Ms. Raines for cheating on you, so my guess is that it was probably a woman and..."

Zach paused and glanced up at Julien quietly, then he coughed a bit and continued, "And that woman is interested in you."

Julien's eyes became even darker.

Zach continued, "Mr. Flint, I think Ms. Raines would have thought of that, too. I guess Ms. Raines was upset not only because people were badmouthing her online but also because she guessed it was a woman. Women have a sharp instinct for such things. All of a sudden, Ms. Raines is being

smeared by another woman and that woman is probably interested in you. Certainly, Ms. Raines will be upset. Mr. Flint, you should call Ms. Raines to comfort her and reassure her that she is the only woman you love."

Julien closed his eyes to clear his mind. After a second, he said in an eerie voice, "I see. I want to know who's behind this as soon as possible. You don't need to do the investigation in the official way."

Julien stood up. His face was grim and frightening.

Zach understood what Julien meant. He hesitantly asked, "Mr. Flint, do you mean..."

"Go to the Squirrel team and lock up the managers. Interrogate them one by one. If anyone doesn't tell the truth, knock his teeth out. I'll see if they tell the truth." Julien narrowed his eyes, a fierce look in his eyes.

"Yes." Zach immediately straightened his body and responded.

Zach sensed Julien was mad.

No man would let his woman be smeared like that.

If it was Zach, he didn't want to waste time investigating, but use any method he could use to finding out who was behind it.

"Mr. Flint, I'll get right on it." Then Zach left.

Julien picked up his phone. Instead of calling Sydney right away, he checked what was going on with the gossip online.

When he saw the abuse about Sydney, he clenched his phone hard as if he wanted to crush it.

'What's going on?'

Zach said he had gotten the PR department involved and had the badmouthing comments deleted.

Technically, there shouldn't be so many unpleasant comments now. But why were they still there and getting more and more retweets?
