Chapter 785
Chapter 785
Kevin feared more troubles if they wasted more time, so he grabbed Esther and left the bedroom.
"Ms. Quill!"
"Madam..."
The service staff were startled as Kevin suddenly pulled Esther out of the bedroom. One of the maids,
eager to please Bradley, immediately called him.
"Mr. Warner! Dr. Slade has taken—"
Kevin noticed the maid informing Bradley and quickly snatched the phone, violently throwing it to the
floor.
Positioning himself between Esther and the approaching service staff, he handed his phone to Esther
and said, "Esther, drive away when the right moment comes while I hold them off.
"Don't be afraid even if they try to block you. As long as it won't harm them, just drive through. This is
your only chance. Once you escape and meet Jasper, he'll arrange for you to reunite with Felix
abroad."
Esther asked hoarsely, "And you?"
"Don't worry about me! Would Bradley really kill me?"
The service staff didn't dare to let Kevin and Esther leave. If Kevin took Esther away, they wouldn't be
able to bear Bradley's wrath.
"Kevin, thank you!"
Kevin patted his backpack and said, "There's pepper spray inside. Take it out."
"Alright."
Previously, Esther had considered giving up because she couldn't find a way to escape. It was different
now. With Kevin there to rescue her, she saw hope. If she escaped this time, she would be free to go
wherever she pleased.
Kevin stood his ground, fending off the service staff and using pepper spray on anyone who got too
close.
Kevin wasn't very familiar with the manor, but he continued to shield Esther as they headed to his car.
"Esther, there are clothes and a phone in the car. Drive!" Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Esther stared at the nearby car, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. It felt surreal like she
was in a dream.
"Kevin! Let's go together!"
Kevin turned and looked at Esther, speaking firmly. "Don't worry about me. Just go!"
"But—"
Kevin sternly reminded her, "No buts. Esther, if you don't leave now, you won't be able to escape."
Esther steeled her heart, opened the car door, and got in. She glanced at Kevin, who was outside, still
facing off with the service staff.
Taking a deep breath, she turned the car key. She revved the engine, and the car's roar sounded like a
burst of thunder in the night.
"Clear the way!"
Esther was utterly reckless and drove fearlessly, determined to break free.
The black off-road vehicle raced into the boundless darkness of the night like a shining bolt of lightning.
Esther felt her blood boil and her entire body burn. She was going to escape—to the ends of the earth,
to a place where Bradley would never, ever find her.
Esther gripped the steering wheel tightly, her eyes sparkling like a myriad of stars as she focused on
the road ahead.
She was heading toward a path of freedom!
