My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley)

Chapter 690

Chapter 690

"I really was wrong! I'll never do it again!" Mike pleaded.

Bradley cruelly smirked as he pulled Esther into his arms, his warm breath brushing against her ear. "I'll

teach you a game."

Esther was too nervous to move and remained still.

Bradley spoke slowly. "Come, hold this."

Esther's shock from the four brutal shots Bradley had fired in the basement lingered. She followed

Bradley's instructions, gripping the hunting rifle.

"Yes, just like that."

The rifle felt heavy in Esther's hands.

Bradley reached over considerately, assisting her in holding it. Patiently, he guided her through the

operation step by step.

"If I hadn't arrived in time earlier, you might have suffered at the hands of this repulsive man."

Esther's heart ached in agreement.

Bradley was right—without his timely intervention, she might have faced a terrible fate.

"What... What do you want from me?" she asked.

Bradley's tone turned cold. "Aim for his forehead and gently squeeze the trigger."

Ethical concerns kept Esther from complying. "I can't do it! I can't!"

This act felt no different from taking a life. It was murder.

"Is that so?" Bradley held Esther's hand and pulled the trigger.

Esther was so startled that she turned pale and fell into Bradley's arms.

Bradley carried her and walked toward the pool. He tossed the hunting rifle to the floor before jumping

into the pool, holding Esther.

Esther was startled by the icy water. Her panicked movements made it seem as though she might

drown.

Bradley's white hair floated gracefully in the water, glistening in the sunlight. All Esther could see was a

bright blur. She stopped struggling abruptly, surrendering to the water's pull.

Bradley swam to Esther, encircling her slender waist with his arm, and kissed her underwater.

With a splash, he lifted her out of the pool.

A servant handed him a white bathrobe, and Bradley helped Esther put it on, tying a bow around her

waist.

"Esther, pick up the rifle and point it at that man..."

After an internal struggle, Esther reluctantly picked up the rifle and aimed it at the man.

Bradley softly kissed her cheek. "I'll count to three. Shoot the man!"

Despite his injured legs, Mike staggered away upon hearing this.

"One.

"Two.

"Three."

With each count, Esther felt her heart plummeting into an abyss. Her trembling hands clutched the rifle,

cold sweat forming in her palms.

"Fire!"

Upon Bradley's command, Esther suddenly turned the rifle around, aiming the black muzzle at

Bradley's forehead.

Beneath the sunlight, Esther took on a different kind of beauty. Her wet hair flowed freely, her eyes C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

shimmering with fear-filled tears.

Her lips, as delicate as rose petals, slowly uttered, "Bradley, let me go!"
