Chapter 1480 Loyalty

"I'm going to buy something and then go straight home," Ayan said.

"Okay," Kian replied, handing over the car keys as he walked ahead of Ayan, reaching the elevator and opening it for him. After Ayan entered the elevator, Kian returned to his workstation.

His phone had a message from Yessica, asking, "What did Mr. Simpson say?"

Naturally, it was a question related to the project.

Kian looked at the message and replied with a pitiful expression, indicating that he couldn't say much. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

The next message from Yessica said, "You don't want to tell me? Then I'll tell Camille. Don't worry, we won't make it difficult for you, and we understand the confidentiality of your work. I'll just talk to Camille!!"

"Oh, by the way, I'm going to my parents' house tonight. Be safe going back on your own, take care."

After Yessica's message, she couldn't help but laugh.

Kian immediately replied, "The head of the project department has already seen it. I personally handed the proposal to the project department, and they didn't know it was from Mrs. It was Mr. Simpson's idea. He knew Mrs. doesn't like this, so he deliberately kept it confidential. The head of the project department just came to see Mr. Simpson and is satisfied."

Kian sent a voice message, explaining the details and the situation to Yessica.

Then he added, "I'll pick you up when I come home tonight. I can leave work early today."

Yessica replied, "Okay, remember to buy me flowers."

Yessica was a very proactive girl, especially with someone like Kian. She would directly ask for anything, saving them from any potential conflicts. Their relationship was actually good since Kian wasn't good with romantic matters and needed someone to guide him and give him hints.

Yessica put away her phone and immediately told Camille the good news.

Camille wasn't surprised after learning about it. Ayan understood her, so he knew what she wanted.

Camille looked at Yessica and asked, "Tell me honestly, did you threaten Kian?"

If it wasn't a threat, Kian was very tight-lipped.

Yessica didn't hide anything and replied with a sigh, "Camille, rest assured. It's just that he'll say things that don't need to be kept confidential. If it's something that can't be said, he won't even tell me if we break up."

This was one of the reasons why Kian had stayed by Ayan's side for so many years – a good secretary had to be tight-lipped and loyal to their boss.

Otherwise, it wouldn't last long.

Yessica also assured Camille, "I won't tell him anything, just like Kian. I won't tell him regardless of what he says."

Camille laughed, "Don't be nervous. I didn't say anything. There's no need to rush to prove your loyalty!"

Although Camille was happy, at least the Simpson Group project department had shown interest in her proposal without knowing it was hers. This way, leaving Ayan's company wouldn't be a mistake.

But she had taken a shortcut, and she was very aware of it.

After all, if it wasn't for Ayan, her proposal wouldn't have made it to the desk of the Simpson Group CEO.

Camille planned to go home and personally cook a delicious meal to pamper Mr. Simpson.

So, she left work early and went home with her housekeeper to do a major grocery shopping at the nearby supermarket, buying ingredients that Ayan liked. She was going to be the chef for the night, with the housekeeper guiding her.

Upon returning home, it was already around 6 o'clock.

It was already the time to leave the office, but she didn't know that Ayan had left early. So, she hurriedly and nervously helped the housekeeper with the cooking.

When Ayan came back, Camille was still cooking. She found out his purpose from the housekeeper and didn't disturb him, waiting quietly in the living room.

There was a cake on the coffee table that he had brought back. It was a popular cake that one had to line up early to get, and it was quite expensive. It was also very well-known in Hance City.

Ayan bought the cake by compensating the person who was ahead of him in the line. It was required to do so before getting the cake.

But there was no need to tell Camille about it. She just needed to enjoy the cake.

That was Ayan's thought.

They finished dinner at 8 o'clock, and Ayan didn't disturb her throughout the whole time, as she would have been flustered if he had.

So, Camille thought it was around 6 o'clock, but she didn't realize that it was already 8 o'clock due to being busy.

Finally, when the cooking was done, with the help of the housekeeper, Camille brought the dishes to the table. She was wearing an apron and had slightly messy hair, but she looked beautiful in a different way.

She asked the housekeeper, "Ayan hasn't come back yet? What time is it now?"

The housekeeper replied, "It's already 8:10. He's been sitting in the living room for a while now!"

"Oh, it's already past 8!" This was embarrassing. She quickly headed to the living room and saw Ayan sitting on the sofa with his eyes closed, asleep.

Camille looked at him apologetically. She sat down next to him, gently putting her hand on his arm and softly asked, "Are you asleep, Ayan?"

Ayan opened his eyes in the next moment, looking at Camille with a gentle glint in his eyes. He raised his hand to hold Camille's waist, his voice slightly hoarse as he said, "You cooked?."

Camille nodded gently, "Yes, it's ready. We can eat."

Then the two of them headed to the dining room. It was a scene with appetizing dishes.

After all, Camille wasn't completely unfamiliar with cooking. It just took her some time because she wasn't very familiar with certain dishes.

For this meal, Camille took out a very expensive wine from Ayan's wine cabinet and had the housekeeper aerate it in advance.

They sat face to face at the dining table while the housekeeper had already eaten with the other chefs at home. It was just the two of them now.

Camille poured wine for Ayan herself and smiled at him, "I raise this to you. Thank you for taking care of our company today. If it wasn't for you, our proposal wouldn't have made it to the Simpson Group CEO's office. Thank you!"

Camille had already taken a sip before passing the wine glass to Ayan. She looked at him and said, "Why aren't you drinking?"

Ayan didn't move, maintaining his posture, and remained still, eyeing the wine in his glass. He said, "You're thanking me with my own wine?"

Camille laughed, feeling a bit embarrassed, "Isn't yours mine as well? So, I'm thanking you with my own wine!"

She had subtly shut down any of Ayan's objections and excuses.

Ayan smiled slightly and then finally lifted the glass to take a sip.

The wine tasted really good. Camille cooked and served his favorite dishes herself, and her cheeks were slightly flushed as she said, "Try it, how does it taste?"

After all of the tasks done, Camille shared her delicious dishes with Ayan, hoping it would be a pleasurable dinner.
