Chapter 817 Come to an agreement

Hearing this Melissa’s heart warmed.

Melissa asked her assistant to send the dress over to the princess. The princess photographed the

gown and hung it in her house. Word had spread that the designer Loe Studio was active again. New

designers were surprised as they had only heard rumors about Loe Studio, but they had never met this

person.

Melissa was frantically answering phone calls from reporters. She couldn’t take it anymore and threw

the phone at Murray. Melissa didn’t want to face this alone. When a reporter called, it was usually her

assistant who handled the situation, but even the assistant was getting bombarded.

Melissa enjoyed creating dresses. She enjoyed the design process, but she didn’t like the publicity that

came with it. Murray, on the other hand, excels at managing the PR aspect of being an influential

figure. After all, he is the CEO of a company and oversees several projects.

Melissa just wanted to rest after finishing the design this time.

Mrs. Gibson, Murray’s mother, was becoming increasingly restless because Melissa and Murray

seemed to be in the news every day.

Why was Murray with such a troublesome woman? Mrs. Gibson had a solution to this issue.

When Mrs. Gibson learned that Adela was also visiting the same state Murray lived in, she directed her

housekeeper to do her best to locate Adela’s phone number.

“Hello Adela, this is Murray’s mother,” Mrs. Gibson said with dignity.

Adela on the other end of the phone was both surprised and disgusted. She said nothing and

contemplated hanging up the phone.

“Please say something.” Mrs. Gibson said, not giving up despite’s disinterest in Adela.

“When you have time, let’s grab a cup of coffee,” Mrs. Gibson suggested after another moment of

silence.

“No thank you,” Adela said simply.

“Why are you so hostile to me, especially since I am Murray’s mother?” Mrs. Gibson asked.

“Hang up if you’re offended. Better yet, I’ll do it for you,” Adela, on the other end of the line, abruptly

hung up.

Mrs. Gibson became enraged and began banging on her pillow.

She was even more dissatisfied with Adela and thought, No wonder my son doesn’t care about you. If

you have such a disrespectful manner, you were never worthy of my son.

After three days, Mrs. Gibson called Adela once more.

“Come on, let’s work something out; I’ll see you at the coffee shop if you’re interested,” Mrs. Gibson

offered again.

Adela agreed after a long period of silence on the other end of the phone. Mrs. Gibson’s face lit up

when she learned that there was hope.

If she could sort out the issue with Adela, Murray may be interested in giving her another chance.

Maybe then Melissa wouldn’t be so arrogant.

Mrs. Gibson arrived half an hour earlier than expected at the appointed location. She located a quiet

place to wait and Adela lingered for two hours before revealing herself to Mrs. Gibson.

Adela sat down without looking at Mrs. Gibson. She had on sunglasses so no one would recognize her.

“Tell me, what do you want?” Adela asked.

Mrs. Gibson provided her with an envelope of money and papers. She said, “I should be able to fulfill

whatever with you have as long as you cooperate well and the two of us work together.”

Adela looked at the funds, some of which were stocks, some of which were cheques, and some of

which were real estate, and it was clear that Mrs. Gibson was sincere.

Adela removed her sunglasses and asked, “How did you come across me?”

“Because I’m the same kind of person as you, and we’re both willing to do whatever it takes to get what

we want,” Mrs. Gibson chuckled.

Adela agreed, saying, “Fine. What do you want me to do?”

Mrs. Gibson then took another agreement from her bag and stated,

“It’s a guarantee between us.”

“You Gibsons do things the same way, and I’m already used to it,” Adela said as she signed her name.

Melissa has been pregnant for four months now. The pregnancy was going well with no issues. She

stayed home alone and occasionally visited the company.

And those who worked for her were far too good and capable, and they didn’t allow themselves even

the slightest room for criticism. So, there was nothing for Melissa to worry about. Melissa entered the

rehearsal room as they were rehearsing. She entered the monitoring room and opened a classroom

door at random. The entire classroom’s paintings were reflected on the computer screen.

Melissa admired the trainees’ dance, which was full of tension and energy and appeared to be very

meaningful.Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
