Chapter 651
Chapter 651
Theresa darted at Leonard, realizing he was also upset by what had happened. She stroked him gently and asked, “Are you guys hungry? I’ll prepare your favorite food.”
When Ben heard about his favorite food usually, he would be excited. However, he still looked frustrated today.
When Theresa was cooking in the kitchen, Cristina entered. She glanced at the two boys helping their mother and called, “Hello, Leonard, Ben.”
However, they didn’t respond, looking bothered.
Cristina asked, “What happened?”
She had taken a nap in the afternoon, so she didn’t know what had happened earlier.
Theresa looked up at her and replied, “Nothing.”
“Has anyone been here earlier?” Cristina said, “I heard some noises.”
“Ehn. They were gone.”
“Who has been here?”
“Charlie.”
Cristina was shocked, her eyes wide. “What did he do?”
She glanced at the boys with a lingering fear. Seeing them both there, she breathed a sigh of relief.
“He didn’t take Leonard and Ben away.”This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
Theresa darted at her. “You slept soundly, indeed.”
There were loud noises, but Cristina wasn’t woken up.
Theresa didn’t think it was bad, though.
If Cristina was there, it would be more troublesome. She would probably have fought with Charlie.
Cristina said, “Did Charlie bully you? What did he do? Something wrong with Leonard and Ben…
Theresa glanced at the boys and said, “Dinner is ready. Let’s eat.”
She put all dishes on the table outside the kitchen.
Johnson was still napping, so Theresa didn’t take food upstairs but decided to send him something after dinner.
Rawlins didn’t drop off Leah until they arrived at the entrance of Cameron’s Residence.
As soon as the car was parked, Leah couldn’t wait to open the door and get off.
Standing on the ground, she exhaled in relief and said, “Thank you.”
Rawlins could tell how tense she had been, curling his lips into a smile. Then he let the driver pull away. He didn’t take the same car as Dick did. Dick preferred peace and quietness, so he always sat alone in his car.
Leah entered the house. Seeing her, Sarah asked, “You are back so early, Mom. Didn’t you go to see Dad?”
Leah growled, “Theresa kicked me out.”
“How could she do it?” Sarah said, “You brought her up. She should be appreciated. That’s too much.”
Leah didn’t have the mood to think about that matter. She immediately shared what had happened with Sarah. “You know what? Charlie went to her house today.”
“Charlie? Did he go to pick the children up?” Sarah asked, “Did Theresa let him take the boys away?” After returning home, Sarah kept wondering what was wrong with Leticia but failed to figure it out. Earlier, Sarah called the police, but Leticia didn’t take the children home but blamed her.
Sarah did it out of her kindness. However, Leticia took Theresa’s side and defended her.
What an impossible woman!
Sarah was curious, wondering if Theresa had hidden the children after seeing Charlie.
