Chapter-82: Young friendzone
"MINE?" Lyceon growled, stepping ahead. Allison pinched her eyes and pushed Joe away from her body. He instinctively stepped back hearing the authoritative voice.
Allison looked at Joe and was about to say something when Lyceon pulled her into his arms and glared at Jow with red eyes. He wanted to break Joe's hands for touching his mate when Joe immediately submitted to his King and slapped his foolishness in mind.
"Lyceon, he is a friend...." Allison tried to calm Lyceon by rubbing his chest when Joe interrupted her.
"I apologise King. It was not intentional. I knew Allison. We met in the Midnight crescent moon pack. So I was just excited to see her again."
Minna sighed and walked to Lyceon before nodding at her mate. Alpha Harrison scolded his son through a mind link and ordered him to stay quiet.
"Lyceon, forgive him. He is just a kid and acts impatiently sometimes. Can you tell me where Ashina is? I want to see my other girl."
Joe pursed his lips at his mother's reasoning. He was nineteen for goddess sake and his mother always embarrassed him in public.
Allison glanced at Minna and then at Lyceon who was still throwing daggers at Joe. He sheepishly looked at anything but him.
"Yes! Let's call Ashina here and Minna, You have not only one but two girls to meet. Let me introduce you to all of them." Allison chimed in, holding Lyceon's hand and grabbing his attention. She gave him her most innocent and adorable smile which she knew would work on him and divert his mind from Joe.
Lyceon sighed and shook his head at her antics and pulled her closer.
"Really! Who are they?" Minna enquired looking at them.
"Here we are, dear Aunt!" Minna turned her head at the main door from where the voice came and she gasped. Rebecca walked in front with Mason and Ashina followed them silently.
"You are Ashina?" Minna asked the girl before glancing at the other two.
"You are forgetting your other friend, Aunt Minna?" Rebecca raised her brows before standing straight in front of her. Her hypnotic green eyes were shining and chestnut hair complimented her pale complexion perfectly. Minna could smell her enchanting serpent essence.
"Bernard..." Minna whispered and Rebecca gave a nod with a small smirk.
"Glad that you remember!" Minna laughed seeing the same attitude in Rebbeca like her father. Bernard used to be like this. Minna pulled her in a hug, "My sharp witty girl!" Minna smiled and her eyes fell on Ashina who was standing behind and staring at her unblinkingly. Minna broke the hug with Rebecca and moved to Ashina.
"You are as beautiful as your mother, Ashina." Minna hugged her too before kissing her forehead.
"It's good to see you Aunt Minna." Ashina nodded and looked at Joe.
"I guess he is your son. Such a flirt ass he is!"
"Hey!" Joe snapped but clamped his mouth shut when Ashina pinned her with her pointed gaze. No matter what, she was still in a higher rank than him. Minna laughed but nodded anyway. "He is!"
Joe scowled at her mother but didn't dare to defend himself because of his father's command.
"And he is my brother, the warrior head of the packdom and fated mate of Rebecca, Mason Griffin!" Allison introduced Mason before he could introduce himself while staring at Rebecca, calculating her reaction. Rebecca only rolled her eyes but didn't deny it. Allison smiled.
"Oh my!" Minna laughed and looked at her mate, Alpha Harrison who chuckled, equally amused seeing the irony of the fate. Minna was surprised how they four ended up being mates. She could see her own friend zone in their children. "Oh, Akira! What threads had you knotted, granting from the moon goddess!" She sighed looking at all of them with admiration. Lyceon, Allison, Ashina, Mason and Rebbeca. She inhaled a deep breath and smiled proudly, giving all of them a strong look.
"Keir surely has to face the big challenge now. He will have severe cessation, that I am assured of."
After dinner, They were sitting together and organising the plan to fight the vampire clans. Alpha Harrison and Minna were talking about the potential acquaintance they could get from the southern side as well when Joe poked Ashina's arm. "So shouldn't we be the fated mates as per the prophecy or whatever they call it, like all these are together?" Joe asked Ashina, gesturing at Lyceon and Allison, Rebecca and Mason.
Ashina, who was sitting beside him on the couch, looked at him. She slapped on the back of his head making him groan. He raised his eyes but she pinned him under her hard stare.
"How old are you, pup?" She asked him. He thinned his lips hearing her calling him a pup.
"Just turned nineteen!" He muttered. Ashina rolled her eyes.

"And you want to get fated to a woman almost ten years older than you. What a taste!" she snorted a laugh and Joe widened his eyes as he looked at her from head to toe. From which angle does she look like a twenty-eight-year-old woman? "You are twenty-eight?" He asked in shock. Ashina smiled at him and flicked his forehead.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"News flash! Pup."
"You.. you haven't met your mate yet?" He asked further. Ashina sighed as her mind recalled her ugly past and being a master, she shook her thoughts and emotions away like always. She gestured to him to look ahead, to focus on their conversations.
"What are you planning now, Lyceon?" Minna asked him.
"What else, aunt? I need to kill him as soon as possible before he could cause more damage further!" He answered in a grim tone.
"You know! When I heard about your invitation, I was sceptical if you are the same Lyceon, Shane's son Lyceon. Though I heard about you before, but it never occurred to me that you would come this far openly challenging the vampire king. I apologise Lyceon, I didn't know about Bernard and Rhea." She sighed.
"I wish I could help you in some way..."
"Don't be apologetic, Aunt Minna. We know your situation at that time." Allison squeezed her hand, before giving a small smile. Minna nodded with a deep sigh and patted her cheek.
"Harrison and I discussed this earlier, we will provide every kind of support we can that you need in this war. We have the best warriors and the neighbouring packs in our favor." She mentioned.
"What's going on? Would anyone tell me?" Joe asked finally, frustrated with their hidden conversations. All eyes turned to him, some filled with boredom, some with irritation and some with amusement.
