Love’ss 12
Chapter 12
Madelyn’s sweet voice transported Andrew back to their childhood. When she was three years old, his mother loved braiding her hair. She looked soft and cute in her pigtails.
At that time, she loved following Andrew around and speaking to him in that tone.
Sensing that she was upset, he comforted her, “Elizabeth has been fired.”
Madelyn remained dissatisfied. “She’s not the only woman who’s thinking seducing you.”

A headache crept up on Andrew. From the way she beat up Elena, he could tell she was extremely petty and jealous. If he bungled up this time, he might have a harder time winning back her favor.
“Elizabeth can be quite impudent sometimes because she’s Wilson Yarrow’s cousin,” he explained.
Madelyn had heard of Wilson. From what she recalled, Wilson’s cousin had always been interested in Andrew. She did not expect to run into Elizabeth on her first visit to Miller Group.
She snorted. “Fine. But don’t bring up the topic of divorce papers anymore.”
“Darling, I should be saying that to you.” He resolved never to discuss their divorce after Madelyn had agreed to stay by his side, and he wouldn’t forgive her if she did.
She kissed him in satisfaction. “Go to your meeting. I’ll wait for you here.”
“Sure.” He checked his wristwatch for the time and realized he could not hang around longer or they might have to delay lunch.
In a rare instance, the mood in the meeting room was relaxed. The upper
management felt thankful for Madelyn’s presence as they had not enjoyed such a comfortable work environment in a while.
However, they were proven wrong soon after.
“Cory.”
“Yes, Mr. Miller.”
“Have you always been in charge of our partnership with Garcia Group?”
Cory Bates tensed up when he sensed the icy edge in Andrew’s tone at the mention of Garcia Group.

He replied while carefully observing Andrew’s expression, “Yes, I’ve always been in charge.”
His heart leaped into his throat when Andrew’s scowl deepened. Andrew’s father–in- law, the chairman of Garcia Group, had benefitted much from Miller Group. Had Caleb asked for more this time?
Andrew glanced at the fearful Cory. He stated coldly, “Didn’t Rowan update you? We aren’t working with Garcia Group anymore. So, why are there documents on Garcial Group for my approval?”
Cory shot a confused look at the speechless Rowan, who had just received Andrew’s directive last night and had yet to make the arrangements.
“Rowan.” In Cory’s silence, Andrew shifted his piercing gaze onto Rowan. “Do I need to doubt your efficacy?”
With that, he flung the documents pertaining to Garcia Group onto the table. Everyone held their breaths at his mercurial temper besides feeling surprised that he wanted to end the partnership with his father–in–law’s company.
Rowan approached him respectfully. “I’m sorry. I didn’t have the time to update everyone yet.”
He had been working on the meeting arrangements right after he arrived at the office. He certainly did not foresee the Garcia Group documents being sent in for approval today.
Lighting a cigarette, Andrew looked even more upset when he recalled the scene het had witnessed at the Garcia residence. Drawing hard on the cigarette, he commanded, “We’ll halt all projects with Garcia Group. Inform the bank that Miller Group will not be the guarantor for Garcia Group anymore.”
“Sure.” Rowan broke out in a cold sweat and immediately went to work.
In the meeting, Andrew managed to discuss all the high–priority items and came up with a plan for Garcia Group. Previously, he had awarded some projects to Caleb for Madelyn’s sake. Now that he wanted to halt the projects, he needed to kick off plan B.
Meanwhile, Madelyn fell asleep on the couch and only
phone vibrating. She answered the call, asking, “Who Stirred when she heard her
is this?“.
“Come back right now,” Caleb immediately urged her, his voice full of restraint.
She immediately became wide awake. Every time Caleb called, he would only talk.

about the projects with a nice attitude. She was surprised by his anger this time.
“What’s the problem?” She sat up and addressed Caleb like he was a stranger to her.
Caleb was taken aback at Madelyn’s attitude change. In the past, she had always walked on eggshells around her family for fear of angering them.
Although he had witnessed firsthand Madelyn’s change, he had not fully come to terms with it. He barked into the phone, “How dare you ask me that? Get home right now! Garcia Group is in huge trouble!”
Garcia Group? Could that be Andrew’s doing?
Judging from Andrew’s response at the time she pushed the blame on Elena, she knew he wouldn’t let Elena off the hook. But she didn’t expect him to act this swiftly.
“Did you hear me?” Her silence only fueled Caleb’s anger.
Madelyn argued, “How will my presence resolve the company’s trouble? Why not go. to the daughter you shared with your mistress? She might have a solution for you.”
Why would the Garcias look to her in a time of need when they had always regarded Elena as their lucky charm?
On the other end, Caleb started to throw a tantrum. Madelyn hung up because she refused to entertain his behavior.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
Andrew opened the door and entered his office at that moment. Their eyes met.
Had Caleb not called, she wouldn’t have had a clue about what just happened in the meeting room.
“Why are you staring at me?” Andrew asked.
She continued boring her eyes into him. His arrival interrupted her train of thought. She rose from the couch and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Are you trying to destroy Garcia Group?”
From Caleb’s reaction, she could only imagine the fate of Garcia Group.
Andrew lowered his gaze and held her waist to prevent her from falling off. “Why? Are you worried about your family?”
“Of course not. Darling, you’re so awesome!”
He chuckled, thinking, “Oh, Madelyn, you little rascal.” Still, he was surprised by her attitude
toward Garcia Group. He was more inclined to believe that she had changed her mind about him.

After all, she seemed to have given up on Garcia Group. She would not have gone to such lengths if it were just an act.
“Let’s go.” He released Madelyn and picked up her bag. She obediently toddled beside him, allowing him to hold her hand.
She departed Miller Group office having left behind a renewed impression on the employees.
The female employees no longer swooned and coveted Andrew after learning about Elizabeth’s fate, as none would want to offend the wife of their boss and get themselves fired from Miller Group, the company that paid best in Klago City.
Madelyn looked satisfied by the change she observed in the ladies. Andrew turned around, looking confused at the grin on her lips. “Why are you smiling?”
She took his arm and pressed her body against his. “I’m happy.”
He beamed at her, to the shock of his employees, who had never expected to witness his soft side. They started to doubt the rumors about Andrew’s icy relationship with his wife.
Upon arrival at Serenity Villa, they found the furious Elena waiting by the door. A maid held onto a broom and stared warily at Elena, fearing Elena might barge into the villa. The household staff no longer treated her with the same respect and deference.
Elena’s face lit up when Andrew exited the car. As if finding her ray of hope, she greeted him in a begrudging tone, “Andrew, you’re home!”

Elena felt disgruntled. In the past, she could access Serenity Villa freely, and everyone treated her like royalty. She couldn’t wrap her head around the treatment she received today.
Andrew frowned at her.
Elena failed to pick up the dangerous hint in his eyes through her misty eyes. She took his wrist and said with a sob, “Andrew, regardless of the misunderstanding, you can’t do this to me.”
Seeing Elena holding Andrew’s wrist, Madelyn huffed and puffed. In the past, Elena had intentionally kept
her distance from Andrew as part of her “nice big sister”
persona.
Madelyn mused, “Is she now openly seducing Andrew after our fallout?”
Just as Madelyn was about to approach Andrew, he shook Elena’s hand off his wrist

with a look of disgust. Elena lost her balance and fell to the ground from his
unexpected response. When she turned around with a pitiful expression, she saw nothing but hatred in his eyes.
Stunned, she finally comprehended the difference between her and Madelyn as well as the gap between her and Andrew.
